BACKgROUND Epithelial-myoepithelial carcinoma (EMC) is a rare, low-grade, malignant tumor that constitutes less than one percent of all salivary gland tumors. To date, only one other case report has described radiation-associated EMC in the English language medical *** SUMMARY In this report, we describe the case of a 56-year-old male patient who presented with a neck mass diagnosed as EMC of the left submandibular gland approximately 30 years after mantle field radiation and chemotherapy for Hodgkin lymphoma. Treatment included resection, re-resection with nodal dissection, and adjuvant chemoradiotherapy. This patient was also diagnosed with 4 other secondary malignancies, including stage IV diffuse large B cell lymphoma in the abdomen with subsequent brain metastases, low-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma of the lung, Hurthle cell adenoma, and small B cell lymphoma before the patient expired. This case provides important information regarding the pathology, clinical sequelae, and management of a patient diagnosed with radiation-associated EMC amidst four concurrent *** Further investigation is needed on the efficacy of adjuvant radiotherapy in EMC,especially atypical EMC.

The construction and performance characteristics of new sensitive and selective in situ modified screen printed （ISPE） and carbon paste （ICPE） electrodes for determination of naphazoline hydrochloride （NPZ-HC1） have been developed. The electrodes under investigation show potentiometric response for NPZ-HC1 in the concentration range from 7.0 x 10-7 to 1.0 x 10-2 M at 25 ~C and the electrode response is independent of pH in the range of 3.1-7.9. These sensors have slope values of 59.7＋0.6 and 59.2＋0.2 mV decade-l with detection limit values of 5.6 ~ 10-7 and 5.9 x 10-7 M NPZ- HC1 using ISPE and ICPE, respectively. These electrodes show fast response time of 4-7 s and 5-8 s and exhibits lifetimes of 28 and 30 days for ISPE and ICPE, respectively. Selectivity for NPZ-HC1 with respect to a number of interfering materials was also investigated. It was found that there is no interference from the investigated inorganic cations, anions, sugars and other pharmaceutical excipients. The proposed sensors were applied for the determination of NPZ-HC1 in pharmaceutical formulation using the direct potentiometric method. It showed a mean average recovery of 100.2% and 102.6% for ISPE and ICPE, respectively. The obtained results using the proposed sensors were in good agreement with those obtained using the official method. The proposed sensors show significantly high selectivity, response time, accuracy, precision, limit of detection （LOD）and limit of quantification （LOQ） compared with other proposed methods.

Quantum statistical properties of photon-added spin coherent states

The photon-added spin coherent state as a new kind of coherent state has been defined by iterated actions of the proper raising operator on the ordinary spin coherent state. In this paper, the quantum statistical properties of photon-added spin coherent states such as photon number distribution, second-order correlation function and Wigner function are studied. It is found that the Wigner function shows the negativity in some regions and the second-order correlation function is less than unity. Therefore, the photon-added spin coherent state is a nonclassical state.

Dielectric behavior of Cu-Zn ferrites with Si additive

Since ferrites are highly sensitive to the additives present in or added to them, extensive work, to improve the properties of basic ferrites, has been carded out on these aspects. The present paper reports the effects of composition, frequency, and temperature on the dielectric behavior of a series of CuxZn1-xFe2O4 ferdte samples prepared by the usual ceramic technique. In order to improve the properties of the samples, low cost Fe2O3 having 0.5 wt.% Si as an additive is selected to introduce into the system. The dielectric constant increases by increasing the Cu content, as the electron exchange of Cu^2＋〈=〉 Cu^＋ is responsible for the conduction and the polarization. However, the addition of Si could decrease the dielectric constant as it suppresses the ceramic grain growth and promotes the quality factor at higher frequencies. Dielectric constant ε′ and loss tangent tan δ of the mixed Cu-Zn ferrite decrease with increasing frequency, attributed to the Maxwell-Wagner polarization, which increases as the temperature increases.

The main objective of this work is to investigate analytically the steady nanofluid flow and heat transfer characteristics between nonparallel plane walls. Using appropriate transformations for the velocity and temperature, the basic nonlinear partial differential equations are reduced to the ordinary differential equations. Then, these equations have been solved analytically and numerically for some values of the governing parameters, Reynolds number, Re, channel half angle, α, Prandtl number, Pr, and Eckert number, Ec, using Adomian decomposition method and the Runge-Kutta method with mathematic package. Analytical and numerical results are searched for the skin friction coefficient, Nusselt number and the velocity and temperature profiles. It is found on one hand that the Nusselt number increases as Eckert number or channel half-angle increases, but it decreases as Reynolds number increases. On the other hand, it is also found that the presence of Cu nanoparticles in a water base fluid enhances heat transfer between nonparallel plane walls and in consequence the Nusselt number increases with the increase of nanoparticles volume fraction. Finally, an excellent agreement between analytical results and those obtained by numerical Runge-Kutta method is highly noticed.

Experimental Investigation on the Performance of Armour grade Q&T Steel Joints Fabricated by Flux Cored Arc Welding with Low Hydrogen Ferritic Consumables

Quenched and Tempered （Q＆T） steels are widely used in the construction of military vehicles due to its high strength to weight ratio and high hardness. These steels are prone to hydrogen induced cracking （HIC） and softening in the heat affected zone （HAZ） after welding. The use of austenitic stainless steel （ASS） consumables to weld the above steel was the only available remedy to avoid HIC because of higher solubility for hydrogen in austenitic phase. Recent studies revealed that low hydrogen ferritic （LHF） steel consumables can also be used to weld Q＆T steels, which can give very low hydrogen levels in the weld deposits and required resistance against cold cracking. Hence, in this investigation an attempt has been made to study the performance of armour grade Q＆T steel joints fabricated by flux cored arc welding with LHF steel consumables. Two different consumables namely （i） austenitic stainless steel and （ii） low hydrogen ferritic steel have been used to fabricate the joints by flux cored arc welding （FCAW） process. The joints fabricated by LHF consumable exhibited superior transverse tensile properties due to the presence of ferrite microstructure in weld metal. The joints fabricated by ASS consumable showed higher impact toughness due to the presence of austenitic phase in weld metal microstructure. The HAZ softening in coarse grain heat affected zone （CgHAZ） is less in the joints fabricated using LHF consumable due to the lower heat input involved during fabrication compared to the joints fabricated using ASS consumables.

Recently,many researchers have tried to develop a robust,fast,and accurate *** algorithm is for eye-tracking and detecting pupil position in many applications such as head-mounted eye tracking,gaze-based human-computer interaction,medical applications(such as deaf and diabetes patients),and attention *** real-world conditions challenge the eye appearance,such as illumination,reflections,and *** the other hand,individual differences in eye physiology and other sources of noise,such as contact lenses or *** present work introduces a robust pupil detection algorithm with and higher accuracy than the previous attempts for real-time analytics *** proposed circular hough transform with morphing canny edge detection for Pupillometery(CHMCEP)algorithm can detect even the blurred or noisy images by using different filtering methods in the pre-processing or start phase to remove the blur and noise and finally the second filtering process before the circular Hough transform for the center fitting to make sure better *** performance of the proposed CHMCEP algorithm was tested against recent pupil detection *** and results show that the proposed CHMCEP algorithm achieved detection rates of 87.11,78.54,58,and 78 according to´Swirski,ExCuSe,Else,and labeled pupils in the wild(LPW)data sets,*** results show that the proposed approach performs better than the other pupil detection methods by a large margin by providing exact and robust pupil positions on challenging ordinary eye pictures.
