Objectives: The aim of the study was to compare the efficacy and safety of GnRH-agonist to the human chorionic gonadotrophin (HCG) trigger in cases of simple ovarian stimulation. Study design: Randomized controlled trial was conducted on 291 women complaining of unexplained infertility visiting Elshatby Maternity University Hospital from February to December 2019. Trial registration unique ID is PACTR202001787868341 (https://***/). Age included from 20 - 43 years. All patients were stimulated by the sequential stimulation protocol using letrozole then FSH injection, when the criteria of ovulation trigger were reached; cases were randomized into two groups using closed envelopes method.

Effect of Adding a Delayed Blastocyst to a Good Quality One during Embryo Transfer on ICSI Cycle Outcomes

Objectives: Study the effect of adding a delayed blastocyst to a transferred good quality one on ICSI cycle outcomes. Study design: Prospective cohort study. Participants/materials, setting, methods: 90 infertile patients aged from 20 - 35 years due to mild male factor, unexplained infertility or tubal factor. Patients with PCOS, endometriosis, RIF, poor responder and azoospermia were excluded. Setting: Duration 6 months from October 2019 to April 2020 in a private IVF center in Egypt. 30 cases were subjected to elective single embryo transfer and the other 60 with two embryo transfers, one good quality and another poor quality blastocyst. Results: (clinical pregnancy rate) was comparable between the two groups, being 47.7% and 36.7% in SET and DET groups respectively (p = 0.361). Miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy rate were observed in 10% of the cases pregnant after SET (group I) and in only 6.7% of the cases pregnant after DET (group II) denoting no significant statistical difference between the two groups. The highest incidence was missed miscarriages in the two groups and ectopic pregnancy was observed only in one case in group II (DET). Twin pregnancy occurred in 22% of pregnant females in the second group. Late pregnancy complications in the form of preterm labour, premature rupture of membrane and preeclampsia occurred mainly in pregnant females in the second group 18%. Objectives: Evaluate the effect of artificial oocyte activation (AOA) using calcium ionophore (A23187) on the rate of fertilization and cleavage of embryos in surgically retrieved sperm of patients with non-obstructive azoospermia undergoing intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Study design: This study was conducted on 60 infertile couples undergoing ICSI cycles as a randomized controlled parallel group’s experimental study in a private IVF center in Egypt from January 2018 to July 2019. ICSI cycles were divided into two groups: Group A: includes 30 ICSI patients with surgically retrieved sperms of non-obstructive azoospermia treated with calcium ionophore (A23187). Group C/Control: includes 30 ICSI patients with surgically retrieved sperms of non-obstructive azoospermia non-treated with calcium ionophore (A23187). Results: There was no statistical difference between both groups regarding the fertilization rate (p = 0.853). There was no statistical difference between them regarding implantation rate (p = 0.237). Background: The ideal agent for cervical ripening would induce adequate cervical ripening with minimal adverse effects to the mother and the fetus;the most favorable method for cervical ripening is not fully agreed till now;however, vaginal administration of isosorbide mononitrate (IMN) is considered a low-risk method of labor induction for post term. Our study was designed to assess the effect of IMN on cervical ripening and labor induction among 41 weeks pregnant women. Objectives: To assess the efficacy of the nitric oxide donor isosorbide mononitrate on cervical ripening at 41 weeks gestation. Materials and Methods: This study was conducted on 100 pregnant women recruited from the outpatient clinic fulfilling the inclusion criteria. Cases were divided into 2 groups. In first group 40 mg isosorbide mononitrate (IMN) tablet was applied vaginally in posterior fornix, and in second group placebo was applied vaginally in posterior fornix. Following up the cervical status after 24 hours of administration, the patient were asked about new symptoms especially headache, palpitation, dizziness or abdominal pain and the mode of delivery was assessed. Results: There was a significant improvement in the bishop score in the first group rather than the placebo group. No significant difference between the two groups was as regards the mode of delivery. Conclusion: IMN may be used for cervical preparation only before induction of labor in post term cases.

Objectives: To facilitate embryo transfer technique in cases with previous failed or difficult transfer using office hysteroscopy. Study Design: Case report of 3 cases of previous difficult embryo transfer (ET). Methods: Hysteroscopic assisted insertion of cervical stent at the end of withdrawal bleeding in the stimulation cycle. This stent was used as a track for embryo transfer catheter. Results: One case cancelled before (embryo transfer) ET and the other 2 cases didn’t get pregnant in spite of easy embryo transfer. Conclusion: This hysteroscopic assisted ET technique may facilitate ET technique in cases with difficult embryo transfer due to deformed cervix.

This study presents a modified low-cost approach,which integrates the spectral angle mapper and image difference algorithms in order to enhance classification maps for the purpose of monitoring and analysing land use/land cover change between 2000 and 2015 for the Emirate of *** approach was modified by collecting 320 training samples from QuickBird images with a spatial resolution of 0.6 m,as well as carrying out field observations,followed by the application of a 3×3 Soble filter,sieving classes,majority/minority analysis,and clump classes of the obtained classification *** accuracy assessment showed that the targeted 2000,2005,2010 and 2015 classification maps have 88.1252%,89.0699%,90.1225%and 96.0965%accuracy,*** results showed that the built-up area increased by 233.721 km^(2)(5.81%)between 2000 and 2005 and continues to increase even up and till the present *** assessment of changes in the periods 2000–2005 and 2010–2015 confirmed that net vegetation area losses were more pronounced from 2000 to 2005 than from 2010 to 2015,dropping from 47,618 to 40,820 km^(2),*** study is aimed to assist urban planners and decision-makers,as well as research institutes.

Bioflotation represents one of the growing trends to enhance the selectivity of conventional flotation processes. It utilizes the micro-organisms to replace or to interact with the chemical reagents to increase the gap between surface properties of similar minerals and to enhance the separation selectivity. In this work, dolomite-phosphate separation was investigated using amphoteric collector （dodecyl-N-carboxyethyl-N-hyroxyethyl-imidazoline） in presence of bacteria. Two types of bacteria, Corynebacterium- diphtheriae-intermedius （CDI）, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa （PA）, were used. The collector-bacteria interaction was characterized by Fourier transform infra-red （FTIR）, frothing height and Zeta potential. The results show that the collector-bacteria interaction improves the flotation selectivity. Although, the PA positively affects the separation results, the CDI cannot lower the MgO to less than 1%. A phosphate content of 0.7% MgO and 31.77% P205 with a recovery of 68% at pH 11, 3.0 kg/t amphoteric collector, 4× 10^7 cells of PA is obtained.

Under conditions differing from those subjected for central limit theorem, the spatial autocorrelation function of speckle pattern resulting from illuminated rough surface is investigated. Its dependence on different illuminating apertures and the average of the roughness heights is presented theoretically and experimentally. The experiments were carried out using a set of circular and square apertures having different sizes. The results indicate that, increasing the size of the illuminating aperture leads to a decrease in the width of the main lobe of the spatial autocorrelation function.
