Ra.e meta. minera.iza.ion of Sn, Nb-Ta.a.d W is encountered in the Gebel Dihmit a.ea.(GDa., south- ea.tern a.wa., Egypt. The minera.iza.ion is rela.ed to muscovite gra.ites a.d their pegma.ite deriva.ives. The peg- ma.ites a.e divided into three types a.cording to their ma.n minera. a.sembla.es: K-feldspa.-muscovite-tourma.ine, K-feldspa.-a.bite-muscovite a.d a.bite-K-feldspa.-lepidolite veins. Petrogenetic studies indica.e tha. Sn a.d Nb-Ta.minera.iza.ion extends from the la.e-ma.ma.ic sta.e to the pegma.ite a.d hydrotherma. sta.es of the (GDa. suite. The a.bite-K-feldspa.-lepidolite gra.ite is composed domina.tly of a.bite, lepidolote, a.d qua.tz, with topa., K-feldspa. a.d a.blygonite. The a.cessory minera.s a.e zircon, mona.ite, pollucite, columbite-ta.ta.ite, microlite a.d Ta.rich ca.siterite. Phenocrysts of qua.tz, topa. a.d K-feldspa. conta.n a.unda.t inclusions of a.bite la.hs a.d occa.iona. lepidolite crysta.s a.ong growth zones (snowba.l texture), indica.ing simulta.eous crysta.liza.ion from a.subsolvus, residua. ma.ma. The origin of the pegma.ites is a.tributed to extreme differentia.ion by fra.tiona. crysta.- liza.ion of a.gra.itic ma.ma. The economic potentia. for ra.e meta.s wa. eva.ua.ed in the geochemica. discrimina.ion dia.ra.s. a.cordingly, some of the pegma.ites a.e not only highly differentia.ed in terms of a.ka.is, but a.so the promising ta.gets for sma.l-sca.e Ta.a.d, to a.less extent, Sn. The pegma.ites a.so provide the first exa.ple of Fe-Mn a.d Nb-Ta.fra.tiona.ion in successive genera.ions of gra.ites to ca.siterite-bea.ing pegma.ites, which perfectly ex- hibit simila. fra.tiona.ion trends esta.lished for prima.y columbite-ta.ta.ite in the corresponding ca.egories of peg- ma.ites. Ura.ium a.d Th of ma.ma.ic origin a.e indica.ed by the presence of thorite a.d a.la.ite, wherea. evidence of hydrotherma. minera.iza.ion is the a.tera.ion of rock- foring minera.s such a. feldspa. a.d the forma.ion of sec- onda.y minera.s such a. ura.opha.e..

Mikbi intrusion(MI) is a.pa.t of the Neoproterozoic Nubia. Shield loca.ed a.ong the NE-SW trending ma.or fra.ture zones preva.ling southern Ea.tern Desert of Egypt. In this study, we present for the first time deta.led minera.ogica. a.d bulk-rock geochemica. da.a.to infer some constra.nts on the pa.enta. ma.ma.genesis a.d to understa.d the tectonic processes contributed to MI forma.ion. Lithologica.ly, it is composed of fresh peridotite, clinopyroxenite, hornblendite, a.orthosite, ga.bronorite, pyroxene a.phibole ga.bro, a.phibole ga.bro a.d diorite. a.l rocks ha.e low Th/La.ra.ios(mostly a.d la.k positive Zr a.d Th a.oma.ies excluding significa.t crusta. conta.ina.ion. They show very low concentra.ions of Nb, Ta. Zr a.d Hf together with sub-chondritic ra.ios of Nb/Ta.2-15) a.d Zr/Hf(19-35),suggesting tha. their ma.tle source wa. depleted by ea.lier melting extra.tion event. The oxygen fuga.ity(logfO_2) estima.ed from diorite biotite is a.ound the nickel-nickel oxide buffer(NNO) indica.ing crysta.liza.ion from a.rela.ively oxidized ma.ma. a.phiboles in the studied ma.ic-ultra.a.ic rocks indica.e rela.ive oxygen fuga.ity(i.e. ΔNNO; nickel-nickel oxide) of 0.28-3 a.d were in equilibrium mostly with 3.77-8.24 wt.% H_2 O_(melt)(i.e. wa.er content in the melt), consistent with the typica. va.ues of subduction-rela.ed ma.ma.. Moreover, pressure estima.es(0.53-6.79 kba.) indica.e polyba.ic crysta.liza.ion a.d suggest tha. the ma.ma.cha.ber(s) wa. loca.ed a. rela.ively sha.low crusta. levels. The enrichment in LILE(e.g., Cs, Ba. K a.d Sr) a.d the depletion in HFSE(e.g., Th a.d Nb) rela.ive to primitive ma.tle a.e consistent with isla.d a.c signa.ure. The olivine, pyroxene a.d a.phibole compositions a.so reflect a.c a.finity. These inferences suggest tha. their prima.y ma.ma.wa. derived from pa.tia. melting of a.ma.tle source tha. formerly meta.oma.ized in a.subduction zone setting. The Neoproterozoic a.la.i-Heia.i suture （800-700 Ma. in the south Ea.tern Desert of Egypt is the northernmost linea. ophiolitic belt tha. defines a. a.c-a.c suture in the a.a.ia.- Nubia. shield （a.S）. The Neoproterozoic serpentinized peridotites represent a.distinct lithology of dismembered ophiolites a.ong the a.la.i-Heia.i suture zone. The a.tera.ion of peridotites va.ies, some conta.n relicts of prima.y minera.s （Cr-spinel a.d olivine） a.d others a.e extremely a.tered, especia.ly a.ong thrusts a.d shea. zones, with development of ta.c, ta.c-ca.bona.e a.d qua.tz-ca.bona.e. The fresh cores of the chromia. spinels a.e rimmed by ferritchromite a.d Cr- ma.netite. The fresh chromia. spinels ha.e high Cr# （0.62 to 0.79）, while Mg# shows wider va.ia.ion （0.35-0.59）. High Cr# in the relict chromia. spinels a.d Fo content in the prima.y olivines indica.e tha. they a.e residua. peridotites a.ter extensive pa.tia. melting. The studied ophiolitic upper ma.tle peridotites a.e highly depleted a.d most proba.ly underwent high degrees of pa.tia. melting a. a.supra.subduction zone setting. They ca. be produced by up to -20%-22% dyna.ic melting of a.primitive ma.tle source. The minera.ogica. a.d geochemica. fea.ures of the studied rocks reflect tha. the ma.tle peridotites of the north pa.t of the Wa.i a.la.i district a.e simila. to the fore-a.c peridotites of a.supra.subduction zone.

Three hundred a.d eleven honeybee sa.ples from 12 countries in the Middle Ea.t a.d North a.rica.（MENa. （Jorda., Leba.on, Syria. Ira., Egypt, Libya. Tunisia. a.geria. Morocco, Yemen, Pa.estine, a.d Suda.） were a.a.yzed for the presence of deformed wing virus （DWV）. The preva.ence of DWV throughout the MENa.region wa. perva.ive, but va.ia.le. The highest preva.ence wa. found in Leba.on a.d Syria. with preva.ence dropping in Pa.estine, Jorda., a.d Egypt before increa.ing slightly moving westwa.ds to a.geria.a.d Morocco Phylogenetic a.a.ysis of a.194 nucleotide section of the DWV Lp gene did not identify a.y significa.t phylogenetic resolution a.ong the sa.ples, a.though the sequences did show consistent regiona. clustering, including a. interesting geogra.hic gra.ient from Morocco through North a.rica.to Jorda. a.d Syria. The sequences revea.ed severa. clea. va.ia.ility hotspots in the deduced a.ino a.id sequence, which furthermore showed some pa.terns of regiona. identity. Furthermore, the sequence va.ia.ts from the Middle Ea.t a.d North a.rica.a.pea. more numerous a.d diverse tha. those from Europe.

a.comprehensive risk ba.ed security a.sessment which includes low volta.e, line overloa. a.d volta.e colla.se wa. presented using a.rela.ively new neura. network technique ca.led a. the genera.ized regression neura. network (GRNN) with incorpora.ion of fea.ure extra.tion method using principle component a.a.ysis. In the risk ba.ed security a.sessment formula.ion, the fa.lure ra.e a.socia.ed to wea.her condition of ea.h line wa. used to compute the proba.ility of line outa.e for a.given wea.her condition a.d the extent of security viola.ion wa. represented by a.severity function. For low volta.e a.d line overloa., continuous severity function wa. considered due to its a.ility to zoom in into the effect of nea. viola.ing contingency. New severity function for volta.e colla.se using the volta.e colla.se prediction index wa. proposed. To reduce the computa.iona. burden, a.new contingency screening method wa. proposed using the risk fa.tor so a. to select the critica. line outa.es. The risk ba.ed security a.sessment method using GRNN wa. implemented on a.la.ge sca.e 87-bus power system a.d the results show tha. the risk prediction results obta.ned using GRNN with the incorpora.ion of principa. component a.a.ysis give better performa.ce in terms of a.cura.y.
