Integrating small and large-scale photovoltaic(pV)solar systems into electrical distribution systems has become mandatory due to increased electricity bills and the concern for limiting greenhouse ***,the reliable and efficient operation of pV-based distribution systems can be confronted by the intermittence and high variability of solar sources and their consequential *** this regard,this article suggests a moderated fault-clearing strategy based on the incremental conductance–maximum power point tracking(IC–MppT)technique and artificial neural networks(ANNs)to enhance fault detection,localization,and restoration pro-cesses in pV-based distribution *** proposed strategy leverages IC–MppT to ensure optimal power generation from the pV solar system,even in the presence of *** tracking the maximum power point,the algorithm maintains the performance of the system and mitigates against the impact of faults on the output ***,an ANN is employed to improve fault detec-tion and localization *** developed ANN-based moderated fault-clearing strategy is trained using historical data and fault scenarios,enabling it to recognize fault patterns and make informed decisions through extensive simulations and comparisons with traditional fault-clearing *** accomplish this study,benchmarks in pV-based distribution systems are constructed and em-ployed using the MATLAB®/Simulink®software ***,to validate the efficacy of the developed ANN-based moderated fault-clearing strategy,a real case study of a 1-MW pV-based distribution system in an industrial field located in Giza governorate,egypt,is tested and *** obtained results demonstrate the effectiveness of the IC–MppT and ANN-based moderated fault-clearing strategy in achieving faster fault detection,precise fault localization,and efficient restoration in pV solar-based dis-tribution systems while preserving maximum power extraction under small and larg

Condition monitoring of the insulating system within power transformers has a massive importance according to the electrical *** gas analysis(DGA)is frequently used for this ***,DGA lacks the necessary level of accuracy to identify all equipment faults,particularly in their initial stages of ***,it does not have the capability for real-time monitoring and relies on manual sampling and laboratory testing,causing potential delays in fault ***,the interpretation of DGA data necessitates specialised expertise,which may pose difficulties for smaller entities that have limited access to ***,the contribution of this research is to use infrared spectroscopy measurements as a new effective technique substituting the DGA method for fault diagnosis in insulating *** inception faults that were considered in this study were the electrical fault(discharges of high energy)and the thermal fault(300°Cemperatureegarding that,two test cells were crafted especially for serving the simulation processes inside the laboratory for both types of inception ***,six samples of pure paraffinic mineral oil were taken to be degraded in the *** that,all of them besides another sample that were not subjected to any kind of faults were taken to be examined by Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)spectroscopy to obtain an overview of the oil's behaviour in each fault *** that,the FTIR analysis was initially verified utilising the DGA ***,for further affirmation,the dielectric dissipation factor(DDF)for all samples was *** the final analysis,the verification tests provide experimental evidence about the outperformance of this new optical technique in detecting the transformer's inception faults in addition to proving its potential for being a superior alternative to the well-known traditional diagnostic techniques.

A dynamic analysis of both twisting and regular towers is carried out to determine the results of considering soil-structure interaction(SSI)on high-rise *** addition,the difference between the seismic performance of using twisting towers over regular ones is *** twisting tower is a simulation of the evolution Tower(Moscow).The towers’skeletons consist of RC elements and rest on a reinforced concrete piled-raft *** soil model is considered as multi-layered with the same soil properties as the zone chosen for the analysis(New Mansoura City,egypt).The only difference between both towers is their shape in *** whole system is modelled and analyzed in a single step as one full 3D model,which is known as the direct approach in *** analyses are carried out using finite-element software(Midas GTS NX).Dynamic output responses due to three records of seismic loads are proposed and presented in some *** on the results,it is concluded that SSI has a considerable effect on the dynamic response of tall buildings mainly because of the foundation flexibility,as it leads to lengthening the vibration period,increasing the story drift and the base shear for both cases.

Objective:The aim of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of intravesical instillation of platelet-rich plasma(pRp)to treat interstitial cystitis/bladder pain syndrome(IC/BpS).Materials and methods:Twenty pRp samples were tested in vitro for stability after exposure to urine samples with different pH.A pilot study involving 21 female patients with IC/BpS was conducted,and 6 weekly doses of autologous pRp(50 mL)were *** were followed up at the 2nd,4th,8th,and 12th weeks after terminating *** primary endpoint was the visual analog scale(VAS)for pain,and the secondary endpoints included the IC symptom index,IC problem index of the O'Leary-Sant questionnaire and global response assessment,urine culture,and *** was defined as a reduction in VAS by 30%or more compared with basal level,and adverse events were ***:The mean±SD of VAS was significantly reduced compared with basal level(4.4±2.6 vs.8.8±1.1,respectively,p=0.001).Meanwhile,80%of cases were considered successful,with a 50.1%reduction in the mean score compared with the basal *** mean±SD of IC symptom index and IC problem index significantly improved compared with the basal *** response assessment was markedly,moderately,and slightly improved in 2(10%),10(50%),and 5(25%)patients,respectively,and showed no change in 3(15%).Three patients had positive urine cultures at follow-up,but 1 withdrew after 2 sessions because of a lack of ***:Repeated intravesical instillation of pRp could be considered an effective and safe approach for treating IC/BpS.

BACKGROUND Chronic hepatitis C(CHC)is a health burden with consequent morbidity and *** biopsy is the gold standard for evaluating fibrosis and assessing disease severity and prognostic purposes *** altern-atives for liver biopsy such as transient elastography(Te)and diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging(DW-MRI)are critical *** To evaluate Te and DW-MRI as noninvasive tools for predicting liver fibrosis in children with *** This prospective cross-sectional study initially recruited 100 children with CHC virus ***-four children completed the full set of investigations including liver stiffness measurement(LSM)using Te and measurement of apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)of the liver and spleen using *** biopsies were evaluated for fibrosis using Ishak scoring *** and liver and spleen ADC were compared in different fibrosis stages and correlation analysis was performed with histopathological findings and other laboratory *** Most patients had moderate fibrosis(73.5%)while 26.5%had mild *** had severe fibrosis or *** majority(68.8%)had mild activity,while only 7.8%had moderate *** scores had a significant direct correlation with LSM(p=0.008)and were negatively correlated with both liver and spleen ADC but with no statistical significance(p=0.086 and p=0.145,respectively).Similarly,histopatho-logical activity correlated significantly with LSM(p=0.002)but not with liver or spleen ADC(p=0.84 and 0.98 respectively).LSM and liver ADC were able to significantly discriminate F3 from lower fibrosis stages(area under the curve=0.700 and 0.747,respectively)with a better performance of liver *** Te and liver ADC were helpful in predicting significant fibrosis in children with chronic hepatitis C virus infection with a better performance of liver ADC.

polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(pAHs)are ubiquitous environmental contaminants of growing concern due to their potential ecological and human health *** study presents a comprehensive assessment of pAHs contamination in the surface sediments of Burullus Lake,a vital and second largest delta lake in *** aim was to evaluate the eco-toxicity and potential health risks associated with the presence of these *** seven sediment samples were collected from various drains in the southern part of Burullus *** extraction method was employed to extract pAHs(16pAHs)from the sediment ***,target compounds were located using *** results showed that samples contained pAHs levels ranging from 0.038×10^(-6)to 0.459×10^(-6),which is considered heavily polluted by the european standard for pAHs ***,there was no apparent source of pAHs in the elKhashah drain or the Brinbal Canal,as HpLC found none of the *** most prevalent compound in sediment samples along the study area was *** diagnostic indices in the present study indicated that the hydrocarbons in the region originated from pyrolytic and man-made sources along the drains of Burullus *** principal component analysis(pCA)and diagnostic ratios revealed that coal combustion and pyrolytic sources were responsible for the pAHs contamination in the surface *** non-carcinogenic risk(HI),which is the product of the HQs for the adult and child populations,respectively,was *** values under 1,therefore,demonstrated that they had no carcinogenic effects on human *** and MeQs in the sediments of Burullus Lake do not have a cancer-causing impact on *** the safety of nearby wildlife,aquatic life,and people,all activities that raise petroleum hydrocarbon levels in Burullus Lake must be adequately regulated and *** to the ecological risk assessment,there is little chance that pAHs will be found
