To control the power hierarchy design of lithium-ion battery(LIB)builtup sets for electric vehicles(EVs),we offer intensive theoretical and experimental sets of choice anode/cathode architectonics that can be modulated in full-scale LIB built-up *** primary structural tectonics,heterogeneous composite superstructures of full-cell-LIB(anode//cathode)electrodes were designed in closely packed flower agave rosettes TiO2@C(FRTO@C anode)and vertical-star-tower LiFePO4@C(VST@C cathode)building blocks to regulate the electron/ion movement in the three-dimensional axes and orientation *** superpower hierarchy surfaces and multi-directional orientation components may create isosurface potential electrodes with mobile electron movements,in-to-out interplay electron dominances,and electron/charge cloud *** study is the first to evaluate the hotkeys of choice anode/cathode architectonics to assemble different LIB-electrode platforms with high-mobility electron/ion flows and high-performance capacity *** functional theory calculation revealed that the FRTO@C anode and VST-(i)@C cathode architectonics are a superior choice for the configuration of full-scale LIB built-up *** integrated FRTO@C//VST-(i)@C full-scale LIB retains a huge discharge capacity(~94.2%),an average Coulombic efficiency of 99.85%after 2000 cycles at 1 C,and a high energy density of 127 Wh kg?1,thereby satisfying scale-up commercial EV requirements.

New Ulva lactuca Algae Based Chitosan Bio-composites for Bioremediation of Cd(II)Ions

The current article covers the production of chitosan(CS)from shells of shrimp waste and its utilization in the preparation of eco-friendly imprinting and non-imprinting composites with Ulva lactuca algae(Alg).These bio-composites namely(Imp-Alg-25wt%CS)and(NImp-Alg-25wt%CS)were used for removal of Cd(II)*** transform infrared(FT-IR)spectra,scanning electron microscope(SEM)equipped with electron dispersive X-ray(EDX),X-ray diffraction(XRD),and elemental analysis measurements were performed to characterize these bio-composites *** highest adsorption of these sorbents towards Cd(II)ions was determined as a function of solutions pH,contact time,Cd(II)ion concentration,beads dose,and *** equilibrium experimental data were treated using various mathematical isotherm and kinetic models to approve the maximum bio-sorption capacities of NImp-Alg-25wt%CS and Imp-Alg-25wt%CS(in mg/g).The results exhibited that Imp-Alg-25wt%CS gave higher removal capacity than NImp-Alg-25wt%CS at the same optimum ***-2nd order dynamic and Langmuir isotherm models were well described in these biosorption ***,the removal behavior of Cd(II)using both bio-composites was spontaneous at room *** reusability of the sorbents,NImp-Alg-25wt%CS and Imp-Alg-25wt%CS,showed three *** addition,comparative study was also conducted for Cd(II)removal onto some reported sorbents.

Cybersecurity Attacks on Academic Data and Personal Information and the Mediating Role of Education and Employment

The cyberspace has simultaneously presented opportunities and challenges alike for personal data security and privacy, as well as the process of research and learning. Moreover, information such as academic data, research data, personal data, proprietary knowledge, complex equipment designs and blueprints for yet to be patented products has all become extremely susceptible to Cybersecurity attacks. This research will investigate factors that affect that may have an influence on perceived ease of use of Cybersecurity, the influence of perceived ease of use on the attitude towards using Cybersecurity, the influence of attitude towards using Cybersecurity on the actual use of Cybersecurity and the influences of job positions on perceived ease of use of Cybersecurity and on the attitude towards using Cybersecurity and on the actual use of Cybersecurity. A model was constructed to investigate eight hypotheses that are related to the investigation. An online questionnaire was constructed to collect data and results showed that hypotheses 1 to 7 influence were significant. However, hypothesis 8 turned out to be insignificant and no influence was found between job positions and the actual use of Cybersecurity.

Consumer’s Purchase Intention towards Luxury Retailer’s Social Media Advertisements —A Case Study of a Shoe Retail—UAE-Dubai Mall

Digital marketing is considered the preferred method comparing to traditional marketing nowadays [1], but is it true for luxury and expensive products? Since the perception prevails that the concepts “luxury” and “digital” are quite incompatible [2], this paper aims to explore the effectiveness of digital marketing advertisements of luxury retailers, while also exploring consumer’s purchasing intent based on the viewing of such promotions. The overall goal is to provide a model of luxury purchase behaviour through harnessing social media. As a constructionist ontology-based researcher, I believe in multiple versions of reality which can evolve based on my target consumer experiences [3]. My epistemological stance is interpretivism with a subjective approach, inductively interacting with consumers to better understand what this “truth” means to them, incorporating textual material to support the analytical interpretations [4]. It is hoped this paper will inform fashion brands marketers about social media practice to achieve creation of purchase intention and ultimately achieve target sales. The paper is useful to both practitioners and academics in the fields of social media marketing and purchase intention. The research provides some initial insights into consumer perspectives of social media ads and online purchase behaviour.

Organizational culture can be defined as the intermixture between values, visions, language, behaviors and beliefs that shape an entity’s unique operating environment. Although the personality of a business may be difficult to articulate, it can have a huge impact on how members of an organization deal with each other, customers and other stakeholders. A good organizational structure facilitates attainment of objectives through proper coordination of all activities. Recently, practitioners and academics aim to identify type of culture before starting a project. Accepting and conducting research is a project by itself, in which, many organizations have a flexible appetite to conduct research to help their objectives. This paper demonstrates the identification of appropriate frameworks to prepare an audit of the organizational culture towards research informed decision-making and management, which means that the paper will analyze definitions of what research means before conducting the organizational research-culture audit to understand the research appetite of the organization.

MMP-2 Rs24386(C-->T) gene polymorphism and the phenotype of age-related macular degeneration

AIM：To examine the MMP-2（-1306 C/T）gene polymorphism and the phenotype characterized by soft and hard drusen of early age-related macular degeneration（AMD）and geographic atrophy of late AMD ***：The study enrolled 850 investigations（290AMD patients with soft and hard drusen,34 with geographic atrophy and a random sample of the population n=526）.Early AMD was classified according to the International Classification and Grading *** geographic atrophy diagnosis the Age-Related Eye Disease Study classification was *** potential association with single nucleotide polymorphisms on MMP-2 Rs243865 was evaluated for all patients,adjusted for age and *** genotyping test of MMP-2 Rs243865（C--〉T）was conducted using the real-time polymerase chain reaction ***：MMP-2（-1306 C/T）C/C genotype was more frequently detected in AMD patients with hard drusen than the soft drusen or control group（66.43%vs 53.74%,vs54.94%,P=0.047）.Logistic regression analysis showed that the MMP-2（-1306）C/C genotype increased the likelihood to develop hard drusen in AMD patients（OR=1.7,95%CI：1.06-2.74;P=0.028）.No association between MMP-2（-1306C/T）gene polymorphism in patients with atrophic AMD and control group was found（54.94%,37.64%,7.41%vs50%,38.24%,11.76%;P=0.6）.CONCLUSION：The MMP-2 Rs24386（C--〉T）polymorphism is found to be associated with the development of hard drusen in patients with AMD.

Fast vectorized distance matrix computation for multiple sequence alignment on multi-cores

Although high quality multiple sequence alignment is an essential task in bioinformatics, it becomes a big dilemma nowadays due to the gigantic explosion in the amount of molecular data. The most consuming time and space phase is the distance matrix computation. This paper addresses this issue by proposing a vectorized parallel method that accomplishes the huge number of similarity comparisons faster in less space. Performance tests on real biological datasets using core-i7 show superior results in terms of time and space.

Integrative herbal treatments of diabetes in Beni Mellal region of Morocco

Objectives: Diabetes is one of the most life-threatening chronic metabolic disorders and is considered a global health problem due to its prevalence and incidence. In Morocco, several herbal preparations are utilized to treat this disease. For this reason, the current study aimed to identify and to collect data about the medicinal plants utilized in folk medicine for the treatment of diabetes in the Beni Mellal region of ***: An ethnobotanical survey was carried out among 400 herbalists, competent villagers and traditional healers from the Beni Mellal region through direct interviews using a semistructured ***: Forty-five medicinal plants belonging to 25 families were identified for their use in diabetes treatment. Interview results showed that the most frequently used plants were Olea europaea, Salvia officinalis, Allium sativum and Trigonella foenum-graecum, with a relative frequency of citation values of24.3%, 23.0%, 22.5% and 20.5%, respectively. Moreover, in this study, the Fabaceae family was the most commonly reported plant family, and the leaves and roots were the most commonly used parts, for the treatment of ***: The Beni Mellal region of Morocco has an important floristic biodiversity of plants used to treat diabetes in traditional medicinal practice. This result provides a good database for pharmacological screenings in the search for plant-based antidiabetic medications.

Maize response to elevated plant density combined with lowered N-fertilizer rate is genotype-dependent

Increasing plant density and improving N fertilizer rate along with the use of high density-tolerant genotypes would lead to maximizing maize(Zea mays L.) grain productivity per unit land area. The objective of this investigation was to match the functions of optimum plant density and adequate nitrogen fertilizer application to produce the highest possible yields per unit area with the greatest maize genotype efficiency. Six maize inbred lines differing in tolerance to low N and high density(D) [three tolerant(T); L-17, L-18, L-53,and three sensitive(S); L-29, L-54, L-55] were chosen for diallel crosses. Parents and crosses were evaluated in the 2012 and 2013 seasons under three plant densities: low(47,600),medium(71,400), and high(95,200) plants ha-1and three N fertilization rates: low(no N addition), medium(285 kg N ha-1) and high(570 kg N ha-1). The T × T crosses were superior to the S × S and T × S crosses under the low N–high D environment in most studied traits across seasons. The relationships between the nine environments and grain yield per hectare(GYPH) showed near-linear regression functions for inbreds L54, L29, and L55 and hybrids L18 × L53 and L18 × L55 with the highest GYPH at a density of47,600 plants ha-1and N rate of 570 kg N ha-1and a curvilinear relationship for inbreds L17, L18, and L53 and the rest of the hybrids with the highest GYPH at a density of95,200 plants ha-1combined with an N rate of 570 kg N ha-1. Cross L17 × L54 gave the highest grain yield in this study under both high N–high-D(19.9 t ha-1) and medium N–high-D environments(17.6 t ha-1).
