Use of soybean meal as substitute of fish meal on aquafeeds is ***,levels of substitution are still low(less than 25%),because of its certain nutritional characteristics(low levels of some indispensable amino acids and high content of carbohydrates) and the presence of some antinutritional factors,such as phytic *** improve the use of higher levels of soybean meal on aquafeeds,the aim of this research was to use the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisicae in diets with high content of soybean meal for juveniles of rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mykiss. Three experimental diets(40%protein,10%lipid,10%moisture) with a 75%of substitution of fish meal with soybean meal and adding 1.5%of yeast(diet 1);1.5%of yeast + 0.8%of phytase (diet 2) and 0.8%phytase(diet 3).A diet with 100%of fishmeal and a commercial diet were used as *** diet was fed to triplicate groups of 15 juveniles of rainbow trout with an initial weight of 1.2±0.02 g(mean±S.d.) for a period of 60 *** data were analyzed with a one-way ANOVA and statistical differences were evaluated with a Tukey-Kramer *** on weight gain(WG) and specific growth rate(SGR) showed a significant lower value of the fish fed with diet 1(687%) when compared with diets 2(801%),3(843%) and the control with 100% fishmeal(1081%).The higher WG among the treatments was observed on diet 3,but no significant differences were observed with respect the diet with yeast(diet 2).Survival rate of all groups showed a minimum percentage of 90%.Growth data indicate that use of yeast on diets with high supplementations of plant meals,might be helpful in the utilization of soybean meal in rainbow trout.

Introduction: The standard treatment for complex wound care is autografting. The advent of dermal substitutes has provided a novel tool for the preparation of the bed to be grafted. However, most types of dermal matrices require the application of a skin graft a second time. Currently, other strategies have been developed to improve the vascularization process, such as negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), which has been reported to reduce the time required for vascular growth and dermal matrix integration and thus achieve a shorter waiting period for autologous graft application. The present study aims to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of dermal matrix management associated with NPWT in the treatment of complex wounds. methods: Seven patients with a diagnosis of complex wounds were enrolled in this study between July 1, 2015, and June 31, 2016. After debridement and having an adequate wound bed, patients who met the criteria for the application of combined therapy were treated with dermal substitutes and a negative pressure system. The percentage of graft integration into the wound bed, complications, length of hospital stay, and duration of therapy were analyzed. Results: The mean age was 42.5 ± 16 (39 - 54) years old;three women and four men were included in the study. The approximate size of skin loss was 120.7 ± 75 cm2 (25 - 250 cm2). The combined therapy of dermal matrix plus NPWT was instituted in all cases for a period of 14 days. There were no complications, with 100% graft integration in 6 of 7 cases. Patients were discharged after a mean hospital stay of 5.4 days. Conclusions: This study demonstrates that the utilization of combined dermal matrix plus NPWT therapy can be performed safely and effectively in patients with complex wounds with low complication rates and a short hospital stay.

In this paper we present the nonlinear optical characterization of Au/Pd nanoparticles in order to obtain the nonlinear refractive indices using the Z-scan technique. The experiments were performed using a 514 nm laser beam Ar+, with 14 Hz of modulation frequency, as excitation source. By using a lens the excitation beam was focused to a small spot and the sample was moved across the focal region along the z-axis by a motorized translation stage. Seven samples with different concentration ratio of Au/Pd nanoparticles were prepared by simultaneous reduction of gold and palladium ions in presence of poly (N-vinyl-2-pirrolidone) (PVP) using ethanol as a reducing agent. In this work, we report the application of the Z-scan technique, to generate optical transmission of laser light as a function of the z position for solutions containing bimetallic nanoparticles of Au (core)/Pd (shell) with average sizes ranging from 3 to 5 nm. The magnitude of the obtained nonlinear refractive index was in the order of 10?8 cm2/W. Our results show that the nonlinear refractive index has a nonlinear behavior when the (Au/Pd) ratio was increased.

Bioinformatic analysis of large and complex omics datasets has become increasingly useful in modern day biology by providing a great depth of information,with its application to neuroscience termed *** mining of omics datasets has enabled the generation of new hypotheses based on differentially regulated biological molecules associated with disease mechanisms,which can be tested experimentally for improved diagnostic and therapeutic targeting of neurodegenerative ***,integrating multi-omics data using a systems bioinformatics approach will advance the understanding of the layered and interactive network of biological regulation that exchanges systemic knowledge to facilitate the development of a comprehensive human brain *** this review,we first summarize data mining studies utilizing datasets from the individual type of omics analysis,including epigenetics/epigenomics,transcriptomics,proteomics,metabolomics,lipidomics,and spatial omics,pertaining to Alzheimer's disease,Parkinson's disease,and multiple *** then discuss multi-omics integration approaches,including independent biological integration and unsupervised integration methods,for more intuitive and informative interpretation of the biological data obtained across different omics *** further assess studies that integrate multi-omics in data mining which provide convoluted biological insights and offer proof-of-concept proposition towards systems bioinformatics in the reconstruction of brain ***,we recommend a combination of high dimensional bioinformatics analysis with experimental validation to achieve translational neuroscience applications including biomarker discovery,therapeutic development,and elucidation of disease *** conclude by providing future perspectives and opportunities in applying integrative multi-omics and systems bioinformatics to achieve precision phenotyping of neurodegenerative diseases and towards personaliz

Background:The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of limited-resource hospitals in managing mild and moderate hospitalized cases of COVId-19 with comorbidities and in preventing their progression to severe ***:data were obtained from 88 moderate COVId-19 patients with comorbidities who were admitted to limitedresource *** data were classified into several parts:comorbidities,chronic medication before hospital admission,symptoms of COVId-19 before and during hospitalization,clinical features,laboratory findings on hospital admission,complications during hospitalization,as well as worst laboratory values during hospitalization,hospital stay,and *** clinical features,laboratory results,type of oxygen therapy used,and the final treatment outcome were all evaluated to assess for any potential ***:All patients were alive upon *** admission,the majority of patients(60.2%)received COVId-19 treatment,and the average hospital stay was 12 *** most common symptoms were fever(88.7%),cough(95.5%),shortness of breath(90.9%),myalgia(84.1%),confusion(63.6%),headache(62.5%),sore throat(88.7%),rhinorrhea(17%),chest pain(58%),diarrhea(19.3%),nausea and vomiting(38.6%),anosmia(62.5%),as well as dysgeusia(64.8%).Based on chest radiograph or computed tomography(CT)scan,9.1%of the patients had unilateral pneumonia,90.9% had bilateral pneumonia,and 96.6% had multiple mottling and ground-glass *** was found associated with a significant increase in headache(p=0.005),rhinorrhea(p=0.013),chest pain(p=0.007),and the need for positive airway pressure(p=0.008).Between pre-and post-hospital admissions,there was a significant increase in lactate dehydrogenase and ferritin but a decrease in platelet,d-dimer,hemoglobin,lymphocytes,neutrophils,and total leucocyte count(pd d-dimer level(p=0.05).Conclusion:Limited-resource hospitals in Egypt w

为了查明不同海拔高度对土壤动物群落多样性及其时空动态的影响,对乌鲁木齐雅玛里克山6种不同海拔高度样带土壤动物群落进行了调查分析,以探讨雅玛里克山土壤动物群落结构与不同海拔高度之间的关系.结果表明,共获得大、中小型土壤动物7 375只,隶属于6门16纲35目,其中真螨目(52.28%)和弹尾目(15.61%)为优势类群,共占总捕获量的67.89%,而寄螨目(8.37%)、三肠目(7.78%)、膜翅目(2.74%)、茅线目(1.53%)、双翅目幼虫(1.48%)、垫刃目(1.27%)、鞘翅目(1.11%)及半翅目(1.07%)等8类为常见类群,占总捕获量的25.35%,其余的25类为稀有类群,占总捕获量的6.76%.在6种不同海拔样带土壤动物个体数和类群数之间存在显著差异(P样带B>样带C>样带E>样带d>样带F,而类群数顺序为:样带A>样带B>样带C>样带d>样带E>样带F.3个不同季节有明显的差异(P春>夏.在6种不同高度样带和不同生境土壤动物群落多样性指标之间存在差异(P<0.05).组间聚类和排序结果表明,将6种不同海拔高度生境分为山底生境型、山中生境型及山顶生境型等三大类型.

根据联合国气候变化框架公约(UNFCCC)的要求,发展中国家和过渡国家最后必须报告温室气体(GHG)的排放清单和应对(缓解)方案。美国和其它捐款国正在为气候变化的国家研究提供财政和技术支持,以便在UNFCCC指导下帮助满足这些研究的需求。为完成缓解评估所提供的技术援助包括:训练分析人员,共享现代设备和评估方法,实现资料分享和分析人员的交流计划。受援国家的分析人员可以获得25种以上的分析设备以帮助他们完成各自国家的温室气体缓解评估。初步评估表明,稳定温室气体排放的对策应集中关注矿物燃料的燃烧和森林的经营管理,因为矿物燃料燃烧是二氧化碳(CO_2)的主要来源,而森林则可以吸收或保存碳(C)。在某些国家,减少从水稻田、牲畜产物和废物处理中排放的甲烷(CH_4)也被认为是具有重要意义的应对选择。人和公共机构对付全球气候变化问题的能力加强将为发展中国家和过渡国家提供实现UNFCCC目标的持续基础。

Background: In Benin, malaria represents the first cause of consultation and hospitalization (48% for children under 5 years old) in health units. It also accounts for 23.1% of deaths recorded in health facilities (moh, 2019). Between the two main components of vector control adopted by Benin government, the mass distribution campaigns of Insecticide-Treated Nets (ITNs) remained the only proven cost-effective way to rapidly achieve high and equitable coverage (WHO, 2017). After the fourth mass distribution campaign conducted in 2017, the demographic and Health Survey (dHS) data indicated that the percentage of children who slept under an ITN has increased from 20% in 2006 to 70% in 2011-2012 and to 76% in 2017-2018 while the incidence of malaria (tested positive) is increasing rapidly among children under 5 years old, growing from 36.5% in 2009 to 28.8% in 2012 and then to 51.4% in 2019. This study aims to understand this contrast by identifying the origin of the increase in ITN use over time among children under five years old and the factors which determine this use. methods: data from the demographic and Health Survey (dHS) conducted in Benin respectively in 2006 and in 20018 were used during the analysis, which covered 13,445 children under five years old from 2006 dHS and 12,255 children from 2017-2018 dHS. Firstly, the data were analyzed using decomposition method to highlight the origin of the increase of ITN use over time among children under five years old. Secondly, the chi-square test analysis estimated the association between ITN use and some characteristics (wealth index, maternal or caregiver education level and child age). Finally, the logistic regression model was used to identify the main factors, which influence the net use over the study period.
