Structural and Tectonic Evolution of El-Faiyum Depression,North Western Desert,Egypt Based on Analysis of Landsat ETm+,and SRTm Data

False color Landsat ETm＋（bands 7, 4, 2 in RGB） and SRTm images of the EI-Faiyum depression, Egypt, highlights major NE-SW faults and other lineaments trending NW-SE and N-S. Airborne magnetic data reveal some E-W subsurface faults which are not recognized on Landsat ETm＋ and SRTm images. Ratio images （5/7, 3/1, 4/3） and （5/7, 5/1, 4） were used for lithological discrimination of different rock types. The EI-Faiyum area is occupied by sedimentary rocks of middle Eocene, Upper Eocene, Oligocene, Lower miocene, Pliocene, Pleistocene and Holocene. Understanding the structural regime of EI-Faiyum depression in the Western Desert of Egypt is significant in relation to the neotectonics of the Nile Delta and to the development of new communities west of the delta. The area is covered by Late Cretaceous, middle to Late Eocene deposits, Oligocene deposits （comprising fluviatile sediments and basalt sheets） and Pliocene and Quaternary alluvium and sand deposits. New geological and structural maps were prepared at a scale of 1 ： 100 000 using Landsat ETm＋ and SRTm images coupled with extensive field work. The major structural trends are E-W, ENE, NS and NW--the same trends observed elsewhere in North Africa from NW Sudan to NE Egypt including north and central Sinai. EI-Faiyum depression is a structurally-controlled tectonic basin, marked by northeast-striking faults along its northern margin. These faults are parallel to similar faults of the Syrian arc fold belt, which includes a group of related faults, folds, push-up structures, and basins. Qarun Lake is located in the northern part of EI-Faiyum depression, at a right-step between two strands of the NE striking fault system. We have suggested elsewhere that EI-Faiyum depression is a pull-apart basin related to extension between these mismatched strands of strike-slip faults. Neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's, Huntington's and Parkinson's diseases have multifaceted nature because of the different factors contributing to their progression. The complex nature of neurodegenerative diseases has developed a pressing need to design multitarget-directed ligands to address the complementary pathways involved in these diseases. The major enzyme targets for development of therapeutics for Alzheimer's disease are cholinesterase and β-secretase enzymes. In this review, we discuss recent advances in profiling single target inhibitors based on these enzymes to multitarget-directed ligands as potential therapeutics for this devastating disease. In addition, therapeutics based on iron chelation strategy are discussed as well.

The main goal of this paper is to focus on the investigation of interaction between a magnetic field and elastic materials with microstructure, whose microelements possess microtemperatures with photothermal excitation. The elastic-photothermal prob- lem in one-dimension is solved by introducing photothermal excitation at the free surface of a semi-infinite semiconducting medium （semiconductor rod）. The integral transform technique is used to solve the governing equations of the problem under the effect of the microtemperature field. The analytical expressions for some physical quantities in the physical domain are obtained with the heating boundary surface and free traction. The numerical inversion technique is used to obtain the resulting quantities in the physical domain. The obtained numerical results with some comparisons are discussed and shown graphically.

To date,very few researchers employed the Least Square Support Vector machine(LSSVm)in predicting the resilient modulus(mr)of Unbound Granular materials(UGms).This paper focused on the development of a LSSVm model to predict the mT of recycled materials for pavement applications and comparison with other different models such as Regression,and Artificial Neural Network(ANN).Blends of Recycled Concrete Aggregate(RCA)with Recycled Clay masonry(RCm)with proportions of 100/0,90/10,80/20,70/30,55/45,40/60,20/80,and 0/100 by the total aggregate mass were evaluated for use as ***/RCm materials were collected from dumps on the sides of roads around mansoura city,*** investigated blends were evaluated experimentally by routine and advanced tests and the mr values were detennined by Repeated Load Triaxial Test(RLTT).Regression,ANN,and LSSVm models were utilized and compared in predicting the mr of the investigated blends optimizing the best design *** showed that the mx values of the investigated RCA/RCm blends were generally increased with the decrease in RCm *** analyses were utilized for evaluating the performance of the developed models and the inputs sensitivity ***,the results approved that the LSSVm model can be used as a novel tool to estimate the mx of the investigated RCA/RCm blends.

Around the world energy sustainability and environment protection face many challenges due to the continuously increasing population and energy demands, where the demanding rate of energy increases by at least 2.3% per year. According to statistical data, until 2035, fossil fuels still are the main source of energy consumption. Burning fossil fuels produces the greenhouse gas of carbon dioxide as a byproduct. CO2 emissions have a dangerous effect on both human health and the natural environmental balance. There are many types of clean energy like solar, biofuel, and wind energy. The major limitations of using these types, their availability depends on climate conditions and their production rate is inadequate for energy demand. For any country, energy resources’ availability and economic conditions imposed on projects’ prioritization. Application of energy management and emissions control techniques for industrial unit can limit fuel combustion environmental effects and transfer this fossil fuel to an eco-friendly type. In this work, we applied Green Energy model GEm to the Hydrotreater Unit of the refinery, GEm is composed of four techniques. Which are Heat Exchangers Networks Synthesis [HENS], Fuel Switching, Thermal Insulation application, and Carbon Captures Storage [CCS]. Where they reduce energy consumption by the rate of 3% - 34% and control CO2 emissions by the rate of 26% - 90%. This model is a radical way to face climate change challenges and practical solutions for both energy and environmental crises.

The deodorizer distillate(DD)is a byproduct of vegetable oil processing industry and is rich in functional bioactive *** study aimed to employ phosphorylation modification for DD to produce a new sustainable *** bioactive ingredients in DD,namely fatty acids,sterols,and tocopherols,were determined by using HPLC and *** results revealed that the DD sample contained a high percentage of unsaturated fatty acids(72.3%)and high levels ofγandδ-tocopherols(54.8%and 31.60%,respectively).mechanical parameters(tensile strength,elongation at break,and tear strength)of leather were improved after being treated with the prepared fatliquor ***,SEm showed that the texture of the fatliquored leather had been remarkably ***,the fatliquored leather possessed effective antibacterial effect against the specified+ve,-ve bacteria,and Candida albicans *** strength,fullness,soft handle,and elasticity of leather were all improved,and the grain of leather was protected from becoming loose after drying.
