Effects of hypokalemia on transmural dispersion of ventricular repolarization in left ventricular myocardium

Objective:To observe effects of hypokalemia on transmural heterogeneity of ventricular repolarization in left ventricular myocardium of rabbit,and explore the role of hypokalemia in malignant ventricular arrhythmia（MVA）.Methods:A total of 20 rabbits were randomly divided into control group and hypokalemic *** hearts in the control group were simply perfused with modified Tyrode’s solution,and were perfused with hypokalemic Tyrode’s solution in hypokalemic *** fibrillation threshold（VFT）,90%monophasic action potential repolarization duration(APD90) of subepicardial,midmyocardial and subendocardial myocardium,transmural dispersion of repolarization（TDR） and Cx43 protein expression in three layers of myocardium were measured in both ***:VFT in the control group and the hypokalemic group were（13.40±2.95） V,and（7.00±1.49） V,*** was a significant difference between two groups（P90 of three myocardial layers in the hypokalemic group were significantly prolonged than those in the control group（/’90in the hypokalemic group and the control group were（38.10±10\29） ms and（23.7015.68） ms,and TDR were（52.90r 14.55） ms and（36.10±12.44） ms,respectively.△APD90 and TDR in the hypokalemic group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P90 of midmyocardium was more significant in the hypokalemic ***43 protein expression of all three myocardial layers were decreased significantly in the hypokalemic group（P90 was significantly increased {Pmore significant in the ***:Hypokalemic can increase transmural heterogeneity of Cx43 expression and repolarization in left ventricular myocardium of rabbit,and decrease VFT and can induce MVA more easily.

The multi-body flexible morphing airfoil can improve the aerodynamic characteristics based on different flight missions *** researches have focused on the unsteady aerodynamic characteristics of flexible wings under passive ***,the unsteady aerodynamic characteristics with the fluid-structure interaction effects in the multi-body active actuation process of morphing airfoil deserve further *** this paper,a fluid-structure coupled simulation method for multi-body flexible morphing airfoil with active actuation subsystem was investigated,and the aerodynamic characteristics during deformation were compared with different skin flexibility,flow field environment,actuation mode and actuation *** numerical results show that for the steady aerodynamic,the skin flexibility can improve the stability *** the unsteady process,the change trend of the transient lift coefficient and pitching moment are consistent with those of the active drive characteristics,while the instantaneous lift-drag ratio coefficient is greatly affected by the driving mode and can be improved by increasing the driving duration.

A fiber-based,self-aligned dual-beam laser direct writing system with a polarization-engineered depletion beam is designed,constructed,and *** system employs a vortex fiber to generate a donut-shaped,cylindrically polarized depletion beam while simultaneously allowing the fundamental mode excitation beam to pass *** results in a co-axially self-aligned dual-beam source,enhancing stability and mitigating assembly *** size of the central dark spot of the focused cylindrical vector depletion beam can be easily adjusted using a simple polarization rotation *** a depletion wavelength of 532 nm and an excitation wavelength of800 nm,the dual-beam laser direct writing system has demonstrated a single linewidth of 63 nm and a minimum line spacing of 173 *** optimization of this system may pave the way for practical superresolution photolithography that surpasses the diffraction limit.

The recirculation flow after different cross-section shaped high-rise buildings with applications to ventilation assessment and drag parameterization

The building cross-section shape significantly affects the flow characteristics around buildings,especially the recirculation region behind the high-rise *** generic building shapes including square,triangle,octagon,T-shaped,cross-shaped,#-shaped,H-shaped and L-shaped are examined to elucidate their effects on the flow patterns,recirculation length L and areas A using computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulations with Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)*** sizes and positions of the vortexes behind the buildings are found to be substantially affected by the building shapes and subsequently changing the recirculation *** recirculation length L is in the range of 1.6b-2.6b with an average of *** maximum L is found for L-shaped building(2.6b)while the shortest behind octagon building(1.6b).The vertical recirculation area Av is in the range of 1.5b^(2)-3.2b^(2)and horizontal area Ah in 0.9b^(2)-2.2b^(2).The L,Av and Ah generally increase with increasing approaching frontal area when the wind direction changes but subject to the dent structures of the#-shaped and cross-shaped *** area-averaged wind velocity ratio(AVR),which is proposed to assess the ventilation performance,is in the range of 0.05 and 0.14,which is around a three-fold difference among the different building *** drag coefficient parameterized by Ah varies significantly,suggesting that previous models without accounting for building shape effect could result in large uncertainty in the drag *** findings provide important reference for improving pedestrian wind environment and shed some light on refining the urban canopy parameterization by considering the building shape effect.

A super sandstorm altered the abundance and composition of airborne bacteria in Beijing

Sandstorm,which injects generous newly emerging microbes into the atmosphere covering cities,adversely affects the air quality in built ***,few studies have examined the change of airborne bacteria during severe sandstorm *** this work,we analyzed the airborne bacteria during one of the strongest sandstorms in East Asia onMarch 15th,2021,which affected large areas of China and *** characteristics of the sandstorm were compared with those of the subsequent clean and haze *** composition of the bacterial community of air samples was investigated using quantitative polymerase chain reaction(qPCR)and high-throughput sequencing *** the sandstorm,the particulate matter(PM)concentration and bacterial richnesswere extremely high(PM2.5:207μg/m3;PM10:1630μg/m3;5700 amplicon sequence variants/m3).In addition,the sandstorm brought 10 pathogenic bacterial genera to the atmosphere,posing a grave hazard to human *** the sandstorm subsided,small bioaerosols(0.65–1.1μm)with a similar bacterial community remained suspended in the atmosphere,bringing possible long-lasting health risks.

The integration of nanowires onto electrode surfaces marks a significant advancement over traditional electrode materials,conferring upon nanowire-modified electrodes a vast array of applications within electrochemical and electrophysical *** nanowires used for electrode modification can be catalogized into two distinct types:anchored nanowires and free-standing nanowires.A critical advantage of anchored nanowires lies in their enhanced electrical connectivity with the substrate,which reduces electrode resistance and facilitates charge ***,the anchorage of nanowires onto electrodes provides additional mechanical support,bolstering the structural stability of the nanowire ***,we review the development of anchored nanowires designed for applications in energy storage,electrocatalysis,and electric field treatment(EFT)over the past *** focus on the synthesis and modification strategies employed for anchored nanowires,culminating in the evaluation of these fabrication and enhancement *** this analysis,we aim to furnish comprehensive insights into the preparation of anchored nanowires,guiding the selection of appropriate fabrication processes and subsequent functional modifications.

Cu_(2)Se@C thin film with three-dimensional braided structure as a cathode material for enhanced Cu^(2+) storage

In the face of multiple challenges brought by the changes of global climate and environment,developing clean energy and updating green energy storage equipment are important ways to achieve carbon peak and carbon *** batteries have become a research hotspot due to their advantages of using the multivalent charge carrier,high ionic conductivity,environmental friendliness and cost *** this work,the Cu_(2)Se@C(Cu_(2)Se coated on carbon clothes)thin film with a three-dimensional braided structure is fabricated by a simple electrochemical deposition method for Cu^(2+)storage for the first *** with the commercial Cu_(2)Se powder,the well-designed Cu_(2)Se@C film shows enhanced specific capacity(640 mAh/g at 0.5 A/g)and rate performance(542 mAh/g at 5 A/g)as well as superior cycling stability(82.7%capacity retention after 1000 cycles at 1 A/g).The Cu^(2+)storage mechanism of the Cu_(2)Se@C electrode is based on a reversible phase transition process of Cu_(2)Se←→Cu_(2-x)Se←→CuSe←→CuSe_(2).In kinetic characteristic analysis,the Cu_(2)Se@C electrode demonstrates faster Cu^(2+)diffusion in discharge process than charge process resulting from the phase transition and the variation of interplanar *** work highlights a facile one-piece design strategy and opens a new gateway for the exploration of advanced aqueous energy storage systems.

For the purpose of environment protecting and energy saving,renewable energy has been distributed into the power grid in a considerable ***,the consuming capacity of the power grid for renewable energy is relatively *** an effective way to absorb the excessive renewable energy,the power to gas(P2G)technology is able to convert excessive renewable energy into ***-blending natural gas pipeline is an efficient approach for hydrogen ***,hydrogen-blending natural gas complicates the whole integrated energy system(IES),making it more problematic to cope with the equipment failure,demand response and dynamic ***,dynamic simulation of distribution parameters of gas-electricity-hydrogen(GEH)energy system,especially for hydrogen concentration,still remains a *** dynamics of hydrogen-blending IES is *** tackle the issue,an iterative solving framework of the GEH-IES and a cell segment-based method for hydrogen mixing ratio distribution are proposed in this *** typical numerical cases studying the conditions under which renewables fluctuate and generators fail are conducted on a real-word *** results show that hydrogen blending timely and spatially influences the flow parameters,of which the hydrogen mixing ratio and gas pressure loss along the gas pipeline are negatively correlated and the response to hydrogen mixing ratio is ***,the hydrogen-blending amount and position also have a significant impact on the performance of the compressor.

Irregular initial solidification by mold thermal monitoring in the continuous casting of steels:A review

Occasional irregular initial solidification phenomena,including stickers,deep oscillation marks,depressions,and surface cracks of strand shells in continuous casting molds,are important limitations for developing the high-efficiency continuous casting of *** application of mold thermal monitoring(MTM) systems,which use thermocouples to detect and respond to temperature variations in molds,has become an effective method to address irregular initial solidification *** systems are widely applied in numerous steel companies for sticker breakout ***,monitoring the surface defects of strands remains ***,indepth research is necessary to utilize the potential advantages and comprehensive monitoring of MTM *** paper summarizes what is included in the irregular initial solidification phenomena and systematically reviews the current state of research on these phenomena by the MTM ***,the influences of mold slag behavior on monitoring these phenomena are ***,the remaining problems of the formation mechanisms and investigations of irregular initial solidification phenomena are discussed,and future research directions are proposed.
