BACKGROUND Suprasellar germinomas are rare intracranial tumors frequently associated with permanent endocrine *** present the clinical picture,treatment,and complications of suprasellar germinoma at pediatric age which,besides being lifethreatening,has lifelong endocrinological *** SUmmARY A 12-year-old female patient was presented having had intensive headaches for three weeks and visual disturbances for six *** ophthalmological examination revealed bilateral papilledema and a marked loss of *** brain magnetic resonance imaging(mRI)showed a suprasellar tumor,involving the infundibulum and the optic chiasm,extending to the third *** tests confirmed decreased levels of thyroxine,cortisol,gonadotropins,and insulin-like growth factor *** tumor reduction was performed,and immunohistopathology established the diagnosis of suprasellar *** of the spine and cerebrospinal fluid cytology confirmed the localized *** chemotherapy and radiotherapy were performed according to the SIOP CNS GCT II protocol.A post-treatment mRI showed no residual tumor,but pituitary function had not *** and a half years after the end of the treatment,the patient is in a complete remission,requiring hormonal replacement therapy,continuous education,and psychological *** This complex case highlights the importance of timely diagnosis,a multidisciplinary approach,and close follow-up in children with suprasellar germinomas.

Recent LHC results on the appearance of sub-leading flow modes in Pb Pb collisions at 2.76 TeV, related to initial-state fluctuations, are analyzed and interpreted within the HYDJET＋＋ model. Using the newly introduced Principal Component Analysis（PCA） method applied to two-particle azimuthal correlations extracted from the model calculations, the leading and sub-leading flow modes are studied as a function of the transverse momentum（p T） over a wide centrality range. The leading modes of the elliptic（v2^（1）） and triangular（v3^（1）） flow calculated with the HYDJET＋＋ model reproduce rather well the v2 {2} and v3 {2} coefficients measured experimentally using the two-particle correlations. Within the p T 3 Ge V/c range, where hydrodynamics dominates, the sub-leading flow effects are greatest at the highest p T of around 3 Ge V/c. The sub-leading elliptic flow mode（v2^（2））, which corresponds to the n = 2 harmonic, has a small non-zero value and slowly increases from central to peripheral collisions, while the sub-leading triangular flow mode（v3^（2））, which corresponds to the n = 3 harmonic, is even smaller and does not depend on centrality. For n= 2, the relative magnitude of the effect measured with respect to the leading flow mode shows a shallow minimum for semi-central collisions and increases for very central and for peripheral collisions. For the n= 3 case, there is no centrality dependence. The sub-leading flow mode results obtained from the HYDJET＋＋model are in rather good agreement with the experimental measurements of the CmS Collaboration.

把新建船舶从船台移入水中的过程称为船舶下水。下水后船舶才开始她的生命之旅。纵向下水是一种使用广泛的传统下水方法,也是最复杂的下水方法之一。通常纵向下水可以分为前后相连的四个阶段:起动,入水,艉浮与漂浮。整个下水过程虽然只有短短的一、二分钟,但却隐藏着各种潜在的风险。假如没有精确地纵向下水模拟,无法预测和避免风险地情况。另一方面,在现代船舶结构设计中CAD软件是一种标准设计工具。设计的船体可以以数字形式导出,如IGES,STEP或ACIS文件。这种文件包括详细记录2D或3D几何模型。对于船体与复杂结构数字形式有优势。有鉴于此,本文基于IGES文件,为了生成船体表面应用NURBS曲面数字模型。为了应用NURBS曲面数字模型开发了用户友好的matLab计算程序。基于各船体NURBS曲面数字模型建立了船舶纵向下水过程的具体数值模拟方法。对船尾纵向下水过程中的四个阶段,根据各自的运动微分方程,分别得出了纵向下水速度随距离的变化。该计算程序能直接从IGES文件读取NURBS曲面的消息,由此计算出船体处于任意位置的湿表面积,排水体积,浮力,浮心,进而计算出下水速度与加速度等。终于,对一艘3100TEU集装箱船系统地探讨下水的质量,滑道斜度,滑道摩擦系数,滑道长度与水位高度主要下水参数的改变对下水过程产生的影响。计算的船舶静力学验证通过商业软件得到的结果比较。研究表明,本文提出的基于NURBS曲面数字模型的船舶静力学与船舶纵向下水的新的模拟方法和计算程序是可行的,而且也很容易根据不同需求对模拟方法和计算程序进行改进。

A Cascade H Bridge (CHB) is evaluated for both electric vehicle motor traction control and off-vehicle charging against the Power ElectronicsUK Automotive Challenge for cost and mass for the year 2035. By combining the power electronics with batteries using low-voltage mOSFET transistors in a series cascade arrangement the cost and mass targets could be met 12 years earlier (in 2023 and 20 times lighter if an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) is used. A 200 kW peak reference car was used to evaluate cost and mass benefits using four different topologies of power electronics. Vehicle installation is shown to be simplified as only passive cooling is required removing the need for liquid cooling systems and the arrangement is inherently safe;no high voltages are present when the vehicle is stationary. The inherently higher efficiency of CHB increases vehicle range. The converter with integrated batteries can also behave as an integrated on-board battery charger delivering additional off-vehicle benefits by removing the need for costly external chargers.

This study was conducted to determine the contamination data of some heavy metals in 10 fish tissue samples of two different fish species---common carp and Northern pike from four different fish ponds and to compare the level of contamination and the differences in the concentration of these elements between these two fish species and between compared fish ponds. In various fish ponds, metal concentrations in the carp muscle tissue varied depending on the metal type. Between compared fish ponds, there were significant differences （P 〈 0.01） in the concentration in muscle carp tissue, except for cadmium. metal concentrations in the pike muscle tissue also varied among fish ponds, depending on the type of metal. In all compared cases, there were significant differences between metal concentration in pike muscle tissue （P 〈 0.01）. Lead and cadmium concentration in pike muscle tissue were significantly higher （P 〈 0.01, P 〈 0.05, respectively）, and mercury and arsenic concentration were significantly lower （P 〈 0.01） than concentration of this heavy metals in carp muscle tissue in all comapered fish ponds. The results obtained in this study indicate variation in a range of examined metal concentration in muscle tissue, which seems to be typical for the Serbian fish ponds, but is lower than those in rivers with considerable anthropogenic impact.

船舶纵向下水是一种被广泛采用的传统下水方法。纵向下水关注艏艉跌落的发生和艏支架最大压力。根据船舶三维设计的发展趋势,在传统纵向下水的基础上,本文提出了一种改进的下水计算方法。下水过程中涉及的船体瞬时湿表面积、排水体积、浮心位置和浮力矩等物理量采用基于NURBS船体曲面的精确计算方法进行计算,给出了下水过程中船舶移动速度和加速度与下水行程之间关系的计算公式,实际开发了matLab下水计算程序。在此基础上,对一艘3,100箱集装箱船具体开展了下水计算,结果表明,艏艉跌落并未发生,支架最大压力在合理的安全范围以内。此外,计算得到的湿表面积和排水体积与商用软件的计算结果符合一致。

Inactivation of Yersinia enterocolitica in Fermented Sausages during Fermentation

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the storage conditions as a way to increase the safety of fermented sausage, with the specific objectives to investigate the effect of storage time, pH value, water activity and microbiological status （Lactobacillus spp and Enterobacteriaceae） on the levels of Yersinia enterocolitica in fermented sausages. For this experiment, meat was divided into four equal portions of 10 kg each. The first portion was control group （C1 group） without addition of Y. enterocolitica and starter culture. The second portion （CII group） was inoculated starter, the third portion （EI group） was inoculated with I1. enterocolitica and the fourth portion （Eli group） was inoculated Y.. enterocolitica and starter culture. Sampling was performed by randomly selecting two links of each sausage preparation at the 0, 3rd, 6th, 9th, 15th, 25th and 35th day of drying. Results show that Y. enterocolitica and Enterobacteriaceae were not detected after 25 d of storage. The results indicate that practice utilizing starter culture is satisfactory to reduction of pathogen if present. Thus, inclusion with starter cultures in a maturation period may increase the safety of fermented sausages.
