FSM 16, McM 41 and SBA 15 types of hexagonal mesoporous silica with a highly ordered 2 dimensional structure were synthesized by using different silicon sources and surfactants. In the 2 dimensional silicate framework, pore size can be uniformly controlled by the combined use of the surfactants having different alkyl chain lengths and the swelling agents(triisopropyl benzene). The pore diameter of FSM 16 and McM 41 can be expanded to be 10 nm, SBA 15 to be 15 nm. The crystal regularity was decreased with the increase of the pore diameter. In FSM 16 derived from kanemite(silicon source) and McM 41 from water glass, their anionic characteristics on the pore wall may be stronger than those of SBA 15 derived from oligomeric tetramethoxysilane(TMOS). We have successfully used FSM 16 and McM 41 to immobilize the enzyme having cationic residues below isoelectric point. The level of adsorption of enzymes in FSM 16 and McM 41 was relatively high, but was low in SBA 15 support. The mechanism of enzyme to be adsorbed in mesoporous silica was suggested to be the ionic interactions. In aqueous solutions, horseradish peroxidase(HTP) was immobilized in FSM 16 with 8.9 nm mesopores and the highest loading amount(183 mg/mg FSM) was obtained, but for the FSM 16 of pore diameter 30 nm only an amount of 28 mg/mg FSM was obtained. The catalytic activity in the organic solvent was high when HRP was immobilized in FSM 16 and McM 41, but it was low in case of SBA 15.

The effectiveness of current control measures against Aedes mosquitoes remains low, resulting in persistent epidemics in urban areas. The emergence of resistant mosquito populations to chemical insecticides highlights the need for novel, environmentally friendly, cost-effective control strategies. This study explored the potential of environmental bacterial isolates to biocontrol wild Aedes larvae. Initially, we collected bacterial samples from infectious masses of Aedes fluviatilis larvae. The isolated bacteria were identified using biochemical, enzymatic, and molecular methods, including 16S rRNA sequencing and MALDI-TOF. Previously, Aeromonas hydrophila and Bacillus thuringiensis isolated from these infectious masses showed limited Aedes larval inhibition. consequently, we screened additional environmental isolates from the bacteriotheque. Six isolates previously identified were tested: chromobacterium violaceum, Enterobacter cloacae, Bacillus cereus, Bacillus sphaericus, and two strains of Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis. Among these strains, B. thuringiensis and c. violaceum exhibited significant inhibitory activities against wild Aedes larvae. Bacillus thuringiensis cultures grown under daylight conditions showed a slight ability to inhibit Aedes larvae. The potential of B. thuringiensis and c. violaceum strains studied, along with optimized culture growth conditions, will be further investigated to develop bioinsecticide products to provide safer and more sustainable alternatives for controlling larvae of Aedes mosquitoes.

A new FAGE setup has recently been built at the University of Lille,*** permits the quantification of OH and HO 2 in the atmosphere with a detection limit of 3×10 5 molecules/（cm 3 ·min） for OH and 1×10 6 molecules/（cm 3 ·min） for HO *** coupling to a photolysis cell enables the measurement of the total reactivity of the hydroxyl radical in ambient air and kinetic studies in *** configurations have been considered：one with the photolysis cell at 90° to the FAGE nozzle,the other on line with the FAGE *** two configurations have been tested and validated by measuring the well known rate constants of OH with cH 4,c 3 H 8 and *** advantages and drawbacks of each configuration have been *** ＂on line＂ configuration limits losses and permits measurements over a larger reactivity range but is affected by OH formation from the laser beam striking the FAGE nozzle,thus limiting the ability to carry out energy dependence studies which can,in contrast,be successfully performed in the 90° configuration.

Let a, b, c be relatively prime positive integers such that a^2＋ b^2= c^2. Jesmanowicz＇conjecture on Pythagorean numbers states that for any positive integer N, the Diophantine equation（aN）x＋（b N）y=（cN）zhas no positive solution（x, y, z） other than x = y = z = 2. In this paper, we prove this conjecture for the case that a or b is a power of 2.

Tunnel junctions, Ta (5 nm)/Ni79/Fe21 (3 nm)/cu (20 nm)/Ni79/Fe21 (3 nm)/Ir22/Mn78 (10 nm)/co75/Fe25/ (4 nm)/Ni79/Fe21 (4 nm)/Ni79/Fe21/(20 nm)/Ta (5 nm) wherein d=1.3 and 0.8 nm, with small active area from 100×100 down to 3×3 μm2 were fabricated using a micro-fabrication technique. The optical lithography combined with Ar ion-beam etching and cF4 active etching was used to pattern the junction area. A thin barrier layer and a short plasma-oxidation time for Al-oxide layer were used in order to reduce the junction resistance and increase the TMR ratio. The optimum annealing temperature and time for the highest TMR obtained were investigated to be around 300°c for an hour in this work. TMR ratio, effective barrier height and width, and breakdown voltage of the junctions can be remarkably enhanced upon annealing. High TMR ratio of 49.7% at room temperature and 69.1% at 4.2 K were achieved. TMR ratio and resistances decrease with increasing dc bias voltage from 0 to 1000 mV or with increasing temperature from 4.2 K to room temperature.

AIM To investigate the real-world efficacy and safety of sofosbuvir/ribavirin(SOF/RBV) therapy for Japanese patients with genotype 2 hepatitis c virus(GT2-HcV).METHODS A total of 182 patients with GT2-HcV infection who received SOF/RBV therapy for 12 wk at our hospital were enrolled. The patients comprised 122 men and 60 women(age range: 17-84 years; mean age ± SD: 60.1 ± 12.1 years). Relationships between virological response and clinical data were examined by logistic regression analyses. RESULTS The proportions of patients with liver cirrhosis and history of hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc) were 29.0% and 17.3%, respectively. The proportion of patients with prior interferon(IFN)-based therapy was 25.6%. SOF/RBV therapy rapidly decreased HcV RNA levels. Several patients required RBV dose reduction because of anemia or fatigue. Four patients discontinued the therapy. The rates of sustained virological response at 12 wk after the end of treatment were 87.9%(intention to treat: 160/182) and 94.1%(per protocol: 159/169). Multivariate analyses showed that history of Hcc or IFN-based therapy independently reduced the efficacy of SOF/RBV therapy. cONcLUSION SOF/RBV therapy for GT2-HcV is safe, highly tolerated, and effective. History of Hcc or IFN-based therapy independently reduces the efficacy of this treatment.

We present u＇g＇R optical images taken with the MMT/Megacam and the Subaru/Suprime telescopes of the Extended Groth Strip survey. The total survey covers an area of about -1 degree2, including four sub-fields and is optimized for the study of galaxies at z - 3. Our methods for photometric calibration in AB magnitudes, the limiting magnitude and the galaxy number count are described. A sample of 1642 photometrically selected candidate Lyman-Break Galaxies （LBGs） to an apparent RAB magnitude limit of 25.0 is presented. The average sky surface density of our LBG sample is -1.0 arcmin-2, slightly higher than the previous finding.

AIM:To investigate whether gene methylation in the peritoneal fluid (PF) predicts peritoneal recurrence in gastric cancer ***: The gene methylation of cHFR (checkpoint with forkhead and ring finger domains), p16, RUNX3 (runt-related transcription factor 3), E-cadherin, hMLH1 (mutL homolog 1), ABcG2 (ATP-binding cassette, sub-family G, member 2) and BNIP3 (BcL2/adenovirus E1B 19 kDa interacting protein 3) were analyzed in 80 specimens of PF by quantitative methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (PcR). Eighty patients were divided into 3 groups; Group A (n=35):the depth of cancer invasion was less than the muscularis propria; Group B (n=31): the depth of cancer invasion was beyond the muscularis propria. Both group A and B were diagnosed as no cancer cells in peritoneal cytology and histology; Group c (n=14): disseminated nodule was histologically diagnosed or cancer cells were cytologically defi ned in the peritoneal ***: The positive rates of methylation in cHFR, E-cadherin and BNIP3 were significantly different among the 3 groups and increased in order of group A, B and c (0%,0% and 21% in cHFR, Pcadherin, PcHFR, E-cadherin and BNIP3 was correlated with group A, B and c (9%,19% and 57%, Pcluding 3 patients who underwent a non-curative resection. Two of the 5 patients with multigene methylation showed peritoneal recurrence after surgery, while those without or with a single gene methylation did not experience recurrence (PcONcLUSION: This study suggested that gene methylation in the PF could detect occult neoplastic cells in the peritoneum and might be a risk factor for peritoneal metastasis.

A primary aortoenteric fistula (PAEF), defined as a communication between the native aorta and the gastrointestinal tract, is a rare cause of gastrointes-tinal bleeding. The preoperative diagnosis of PAEF is extremely difficult. consequently, PAEF may cause sudden and unexpected death. We present an autopsy case of a 68-year-old man who died of massive gastro-intestinal bleeding due to a PAEF. Autopsy revealed a pinhole rupture located on the third part of the duode-nal mucosa and fistulized into the adjacent abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA). Our case indicates that the aortoenteric fistula can result in fatal gastrointestinal bleeding. consequently, a PAEF should be included in the differential diagnosis of gastrointestinal bleeding.
