In order to control the maximum tangential velocity V?m(m/s)of the turbulent rotational air flow and the collection efficiencyηc(%)using the fly ash of the mean diameter X R50=5.57?m,two secondary jet nozzles were installed to the body of the axial flow cyclone dust collector with the body diameter D1=*** in order to estimate V?m(m/s),the conservation theory of the angular momentum flux with Ogawa combined vortex model was *** comparisons of the estimated results of V?m(m/s)with the measured results by the cylindrical Pitot-tube were shown in good *** also the estimated collection efficienciesηcth(%)basing upon the cut-size Xc(?m)which was calculated by using the estimated V?m(m/s)and also the particle size distribution R(Xp)were shown a little higher values than the experimental results due to the re-entrainment of the collected *** best method for adjustment ofηc(%)related to the contribution of the secondary jet flow is principally to apply the centrifugal effect?c(1).Above stated results are described in detail.

Four kinds of polythiophenes have been doped with CH3SO3H in CHCl3 under air,oxygen,and nitrogen. In the doping of two types of poly(3-hexylthiophene)s,P3HexTh(Zn/Ni)and P3HexTh(Fe)with different contents of a head-to-tail unit,the p-doping occurs at a similar *** reaction between poly(3-dodecylthiophene),P3DodTh,and the acid takes place more rapidly.P3OBuTh with a butoxy substituent undergoes more facile p-doping and receives photochemical reaction with CHCl3,and this reaction obeys a pseudo-first-order rate law with a rate constant kobs of 1.42×10-5s-1at room tempera- ture.

A study on the effect of the solar ultra-violet radiation on the human skin fibroblast cells revealed that the production of matrix metalloproteinase-2 was inhibited by the radiation.A CO2 incubator connected by optical fibers to a reflector telescope for collecting the solar light was built at Syowa station by the 49th Japanese Antarctica Research *** direction of the telescope was continuously controlled by a sun-tracker to follow the movement of the Sun *** intensity of the collected light was monitored by a portable spectrophotometer housed *** human skin fibroblast cells were incubated in the CO2 chamber to investigate the effect of the solar radiation at Syowa station and were compared with those reference experiments at a laboratory in *** results showed cell damage by strong UV *** production of matrix metalloproteinase-2 was prompted by the moderate UV-B,but was inhibited by the strong UV-B radiation,as studied under laboratory conditions in *** effect of strong solar radiation at Syowa station involving the radiation of UV-B region was estimated to be of the same extent of the radiation caused by an artificial UV-B light with the intensity more than 50 mJ/cm2.

Dear Editor,Microdissection testicular sperm extraction(micro-TESE)is an optimal sperm extraction method for men with nonobstructive azoospermia(NOA).1 According to a recent systematic review by Corona et al.,2 the sperm retrieval rate by micro-TESE and live birth rate per intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI)cycle among NOA patients were 46%and 24%,*** cases where sperm can be collected from NOA patients,the live birth rate remains *** the potential outcomes of ICSI can be predicted by sperm motility assessment,such as pregnancy not anticipated because of immotile sperm,unnecessary ovarian stimulation or oocyte retrieval from female partners could be avoided.

We propose a large parallax barrier by use of aperture grille. Main advantages of using aperture grille include no reflection and no absorption in apertures, as well as wide viewing angle. These advantages are investigated with theoretical calculations and experiments by use of several kinds of LED panels, such as a fine-pitch LED panel and a 140-inch large LED panel. Limitations of viewing angle by parallax barrier are analyzed in conventional black stripes on a transparent substrate type and in aperture grille type. Experimental results straw use of aperture grille increases contrast and reduce reflection on the aperture surface.

This paper analyzes the correctly-expanded supersonic jet from a convergent-divergent axisymmetric nozzle by using numerical simulation of turbulent *** the calculated density distributions in this flow are compared with the present experimental data using rainbow schlieren *** value of the density from the experimental data agrees well with the results calculated by this ***,the present method of the measurement using rainbow schlieren deflectometry is useful for the measurement of the density of the correctly-expanded supersonic jet.
