Using the skyrme energy density formalism, a pocket formula is introduced for barrier heights and positions of 95 fusion reactions(48≤ZPZT≤1520) with respect to the charge and mass numbers of the interacting nuclei. It is shown that the parameterized values of RBand VBare able to reproduce the corresponding experimental data with good accuracy. moreover, the absolute errors of our formulas are less than those obtained using the analytical parametrization forms of the fusion barrier based on the proximity versions. The ability of the parameterized forms of the barrier heights and its positions to reproduce the experimental data of the fusion cross section have been analyzed using the Wong model.

Background:In recent years,there has been an increasing interest in using high quantities of milk or milk replacer(mR)in heat-stressed calves to alleviate the negative effects of high environmental temperatures on their ***,observations have indicated a decline in growth performance in the weaning and postweaning period,which might be optimized with increasing total solids(TS)in milk and weaning *** study aims to optimize the effects of higher quantities of milk on late weaned calves'performance by increasing TS concentration or delivery route in summer ***:Forty-eight newborn Holstein calves were used in a 2×2 factorial arrangement with the factors of preweaning total plane of milk(Pm)intake(low ***)and milk TS content(12%vs.17%).The treatments were(1)low Pm(LPm)intake with 12%TS(TS intake=45.9 kg),(2)LPm intake with 17%TS(TS intake=65.1 kg),(3)high Pm(HPm)intake with 12%TS(TS intake=63.7 kg);and(4)HPm intake with 17%TS(TS intake=90.3 kg).Calves were weaned at d 83,and the study was terminated at d 103 of *** data(every 10 day),skeletal growth(d 80 and 100),ruminal fermentation parameters(d 48 and 91),and behavioral measurements(d 69,70,93 and 94)were analyzed as repeated measurements with PROC mIXED of SAS 9.4(SAS Institute Inc.,Cary,NC).Results:Calves receiving HPm consumed less PmR from d 44 to 83 of age,but they had higher ADG from d 24 to 53 of age compared to those fed LPm(Pm×age,Pmilk with 17%TS had lower PmR intake from d 14 to 83 of age,but greater ADG from d 34 to 53 compared to those receiving milk with 12%TS(TS×age,Pm had greater skeletal growth parameters compared to LPmfed calves,with a similar effect evident for calves fed milk with 17%TS compared with those fed milk with 12%*** receiving milk with 17%TS had greater fecal scores and diarrhea occurrence than those fed milk with 12%TS in HPm,but not ***:Increasing Pm

This paper describes the design and construction of the Taban tokamak, which is located in Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. The Taban tokamak was designed for plasma investigation. The design, simulation and construction of essential parts of the Taban tokamak such as the toroidal field(TF) system, ohmic heating(OH) system and equilibrium field system and their power supplies are presented. For the Taban tokamak, the toroidal magnetic coil was designed to produce a maximum field of 0.7 T at R?=?0.45 m. The power supply of the TF was a130 kJ, 0–10 kV capacitor bank. Ripples of toroidal magnetic field at the plasma edge and plasma center are 0.2% and 0.014%, respectively. For the OH system with 3 kA current, the stray field in the plasma region is less than 40 G over 80% of the plasma volume. The power supply of the OH system consists of two stages, as follows. The fast bank stage is a 120 μF, 0–5 k V capacitor that produces 2.5 kA in 400 μs and the slow bank stage is 93 mF, 600 V that can produce a maximum of 3 kA. The equilibrium system can produce uniform magnetic field at plasma volume. This system’s power supply, like the OH system, consists of two stages, so that the fast bank stage is 500 μF, 800 V and the slow bank stage is 110 mF, 200 V.

The main aim of this paper is to investigate unsteady actuation effects on the operation of dielectric barrier discharge （DBD） plasma actuators and to study induced flow characteristics of steady and unsteady actuators in quiescent air. The parameters affecting the operation of unsteady plasma actuators were experimentally measured and compared with the ones for steady actuators. The effects of excitation frequency and duty cycle on the induced flow pattern properties were studied by means of hot-wire anemometers, and the smoke visualization method was also used. It was observed that the current and the mean induced velocity linearly increase with increasing duty cycle while they are not sensitive to excitation frequency. Furthermore, with increasing excitation frequency, the magnitude of vortices shedding from the actuator decreases while their frequency increases. Nevertheless, when the excitation frequency grows beyond a certain level, the induced flow downstream of the actuator behaves as a steady flow. However, the results for steady actuators show that by increasing the applied voltage and carrier frequency, the velocity of the induced flow first increases and then decreases with actuator saturation and the onset of the emission of streaky glow discharge.

The biodiversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi(AmF) was surveyed in the Kolm region of Iran in three adjacent sites, a natural stand, a 10-year-old and a 15-yearold plantation of Amygdalus scoparia. To date, there have been few studies of AmF biodiversity in Iran, especially in the western forests of the country. For this study, soil and root samples were taken from A. scoparia rhizosphere soil in spring and autumn. Almost half of the root length was colonized by AmF. We identified 13 AmF species belonging to Glomeraceae, Claroideoglomeraceae or Diversisporaceae. The three plantations differed in terms of soil electrical conductivity, organic C and P. Spore density was significant correlated with P concentration. Root length colonization was correlated only with soil *** diversity and richness were significantly correlated with soil N, P, organic C and spore density. AmF diversity in 15-year-old plantations was more similar to that in the natural stand than in the 10-year-old plantation. We confirmed that a 15-year-old plantation is not similar in terms of AmF colonization to natural stands. We conclude that more than 15 years are required for AmF colonization of plantations to resemble that of natural stands.

In the past two decades,various research works have been conducted in the field of flexible electronic devices(FEDs).Researchers have focused their efforts on solving the existing challenges in the electronic,electrochemical,and mechanical behaviors of *** importance of flexible lithium-ion batteries(FLIBs)in the area of FEDs is evident;however,less attention has been paid to the mechanical behavior of FLIBs in comparison with the material and electrochemical *** present paper reviewed the research works in the FLIBs,focusing on their mechanical integrity and electrochemical ***,an introduction to FLIBs was presented,and the previous review papers published in this field were briefly ***,a detailed review of the available electrochemical and mechanical research works on FLIBs was ***,the mechanical testing methods(tensile,compressive,indentation,fatigue,and adhesion)for the characterization of FLIBs’components,the research works on the simulation and modeling of the mechanical behavior of FLIBs,and a summary of the present situation and the future trend of research in this field were reviewed and presented.

Comparison of fixed area and distance sampling methods in open forests:case study of Zagros Forest,Iran

The main aim of this study was to evaluate methods for fixed area and distance sampling in the Zagros open forest area in western Iran. Basic forest management and planning required appropriate quantitative and qualitative information. Two sampling methods were compared on the basis of the actual means of characteristics derived from the 100 % survey. In total, 37 sampling plots were systematically installed with a grid of 100 m × 100 m in the study area. Density, crown canopy, and basal area of the stands were measured. The 100 % survey showed that tree density above 12.5 cm diameter at breast height was 68.04 stem ha-1, basal area was 15.16 m2 ha-1 and crown canopy percentage was 35.71% ha-1. The values for the traits determined by the two sampling methods differed significantly （P = 0.05）. When the time required for the methods was compared, transect sampling required less than systematic-random sampling. Therefore, the transect sampling method was the more economical method for the Zagros open forests. The transect sampling method was statistically defensible and practical for quantitating characteristics of the Zagros open forests.
