The development of artificial intelligence(AI)and smart home technologies has driven the need for speech recognition-based *** demand stems from the quest for more intuitive and natural interaction between users and smart devices in their *** recognition allows users to control devices and perform everyday actions through spoken commands,eliminating the need for physical interfaces or touch screens and enabling specific tasks such as turning on or off the light,heating,or lowering the *** purpose of this study is to develop a speech-based classification model for recognizing human actions in the smart *** seeks to demonstrate the effectiveness and feasibility of using machine learning techniques in predicting categories,subcategories,and actions from sentences.A dataset labeled with relevant information about categories,subcategories,and actions related to human actions in the smart home is *** methodology uses machine learning techniques implemented in Python,extracting features using CountVectorizer to convert sentences into numerical *** results show that the classification model is able to accurately predict categories,subcategories,and actions based on sentences,with 82.99%accuracy for category,76.19%accuracy for subcategory,and 90.28%accuracy for *** study concludes that using machine learning techniques is effective for recognizing and classifying human actions in the smart home,supporting its feasibility in various scenarios and opening new possibilities for advanced natural language processing systems in the field of AI and smart homes.

Retinal and Choroidal Alterations in Migraine Patients Compared to Normal Healthy Controls

Purpose: Migraine is an incapacitating neurovascular disorder that primarily affects the working-age population. Researchers have postulated that the transient vascular alterations during each migraine attack lead to ischemic damage in the eye which can be measured via optical coherence tomography. Methods: We recruited 29 volunteers: 13 migraineurs (mean age 28 ± 8.8 years;12 female and 1 male) and 16 age-matched controls (mean age 26.6 ± 6.9;9 female and 7 male). All individuals underwent a detailed ophthalmic examination by a qualified optometrist and a Migraine Disability Assessment. The investigators were blind to the migraine diagnosis. Retinal Nerve Fiber layer (RNFl) thickness, Retinal Thickness (RT), Ganglion Cell Complex (GCl), ranging from the inner-limiting membrane to the inner plexiform layer, and Choroidal Thickness (CT) were measured using the 3D OCT-1Maestro, Topcon, a Spectral Domain OCT (SD-OCT) device. Results: In the migraine population average RNFl was lower for several parameters. However, results did not reach statistical significance. A significant decrease in the right eye inferior parafoveal ganglion cell layer in the migraine group of patients (mean = 25.15, SD = 4.08) compared to normal healthy controls (mean = 28.81, SD = 4.85;t = (27) = 2.17, p = 0.039) was documented. No other ganglion cell layer or choroidal thickness reached significance. No significant relationship between ocular thickness parameters and MIDAS score, parameters and either MIDAS score or frequency of headaches was found. Conclusion: A significant decrease in the right inferior parafoveal ganglion cell layer for migraine patients was reported. All other parameters did not reach significance. .

BACKGROUND Antiviral treatment of patients with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)in the grey zone of treatment comands risk management in order to optimize the health *** this sense,the identification of HBV mutants related with an increased risk of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)could be useful to identify subpopulations with potential indication of antiviral *** To analyze the prevalence/persistence of hepatitis B virus(HBV)preS and basal core promoter(BCP)/precore/core variants associated to HCC development in CHB patients in the grey *** Work was designed as a longitudinal retrospective study,including 106 plasma samples from 31 patients with CHB in the grey zone of treatment:Hepatitis B e antigen negative,HBV-DNA levels between 12-20000 IU/ml,normal or discordant transaminase levels during follow up and mild/moderate necroinflammatory activity in liver biopsy or Fibroscan(up to 9.5 kPa).Serum HBVDNA was tested using the Abbott Real Time HBV Assay and the BCP/precore/core and the hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg)coding regions were analyzed in positive samples by PCR/bulk-sequencing to identify the HCCrelated HBV *** High-risk HCC related mutants were detected in 24(77%)patients:19(61%)in the BCP/precore/core,and 7(23%)in the HBsAg coding region(2 preS1 and 5 preS2 deletions).The prevalence of preS deletions was genotype-dependent:3/5(60%)patients with preS2 deletions and 1/2 with preS1 deletions were infected with the HBV-E *** HBV-E was the most prevalent in sub-Saharan patients,a correlation between preS deletions and ethnicity was also found:6/8(75%)sub-Saharan vs 1/19(5%)Caucasian patients had preS deletions(P=0.00016).Remarkably,this correlation was maintained in those patients infected with HBV-A,a minor genotype in sub-Saharan patients:2/2 patients infected with HBV-A from West Africa vs 0/6 of Caucasian origin had preS *** HCC related variants were the major strains and persisted over time(up to 48 mo).Pa

An Ontology Based Cyclone Tracks Classification Using SWRl Reasoning and SVM

Tropical cyclones(TC)are often associated with severe weather conditions which cause great losses to lives and *** precise classification of cyclone tracks is significantly important in thefield of weather *** this paper we propose a novel hybrid model that integrates ontology and Support Vector Machine(SVM)to classify the tropical cyclone tracks into four types of classes namely straight,quasi-straight,curving and sinuous based on the track *** Cyclone TRacks Ontology(TCTRO)described in this paper is a knowledge base which comprises of classes,objects and data properties that represent the interaction among the TC characteristics.A set of SWRl(Semantic Web Rule language)rules are directly inserted to the TCTRO ontology for reasoning and inferring new knowledge from ***,we propose a learning algorithm which utilizes the inferred knowledge for optimizing the feature *** to experiments on the IBTrACS dataset,the proposed ontology based SVM classifier achieves an accuracy of 98.3%with reduced classification error rates.

Given that the current ballasted tracks in Australia may not be able to support faster and significantly heavier freight trains as planned for the future,the imminent need for innovative and sustainable ballasted tracks for transport infrastructure is *** the past two decades,a number of studies have been conducted by the researchers of Transport Research Centre(TRC)at the University of Technology Sydney(UTS)to investigate the ability of recycled rubber mats,as well as waste tyre cells and granulated rubber to improve the stability of track substructure including ballast and subballast *** paper reviews four applications of these novel methods,including using recycled rubber products such as CWRC mixtures(i.e.,mixtures of coal wash(CW)and rubber crumbs(RC))and SEAl mixtures(i.e.,mixtures of steel furnace slag,CW and RC)to replace subballast/capping materials,tyre cells reinforcements for subballast/capping layer and under ballast mats;and investigates the energy dissipation capacity for each application based on smallscale cyclic triaxial tests and large-scale track model *** has been found that the inclusion of these rubber products increases the energy dissipation effect of the track,hence reducing the ballast degradation efficiently and increasing the track ***,a rheological model is also proposed to investigate the effect of different rubber inclusions on their efficiency to reduce the transient motion of rail track under dynamic *** outcomes elucidated in this paper will lead to a better understanding of the performance of ballast tracks upgraded with resilient rubber products,while promoting environmentally sustainable and more affordable ballasted tracks for greater passenger comfort and increased safety.

The Huatou Revolution, Pure land Practices, and Dahurs Chan Discourse on the Moment of Death

Song-dynasty Chan depended for its place in society and its financial resources on lay patrons. Educated gentleman-officials （shidafu） were the wealthiest and most powerful of men. From the time of Dahui Zonggao in the Southern Song, linji teachers shifted from elaborate comments on gongan in periodic sermons to a new method ofgongan inspection termed ＂critical phrase＂（kan huatou）. Scholars have argued that Dahui＇s invention of huatou practice was primarily related to internal Chan rivalries for elite patrons. I argue that Dahui＇s motive was also connected to a rivalry with Pure land Buddhism over the making of appeals to lay followers among scholar-officials. Dahui was aware and tried to communicate the usefulness of huatou in addressing the elite laity＇s doubts about birth and death, and in particular their anxieties about facing the decisive moment of death. Therefore, he developed a gongan discourse that is related to anticipation of dying by harnessing the power of doubt to create an experience of spiritual awakening.

Efficacy and safety of bridging thrombolysis initiated before transfer in a drip-and-ship stroke service

Objective Data regarding the efficacy and safety of bridging thrombolysis(BT)initiated before transfer for evaluation of endovascular therapy is ***,therefore,analyse efficacy and safety of BT in patients treated within a drip-and-ship stroke *** Consecutive adult patients suffering from acute ischaemic stroke and large-vessel occlusions(lVO)transferred to our comprehensive stroke centre for evaluation of endovascular therapy in 2017–2020 were identified from a local prospective stroke database and categorised according to BT and *** was defined as intravenous thrombolysis initiated before *** was assessed before and after *** outcome before stroke and at 3 months using the modified Rankin scale(mRS)was *** outcome was defined as mRS 0–1 or return to prestroke *** safety analysis,intracranial haemorrhages and mortality at 3 months were *** analysis was limited to patients with anterior circulation *** Of N=714 patients,n=394(55.2%)received *** patients in the BT group with documented lVO before transfer recanalised without endovascular therapy(n=46,11.7%)than patients who did not receive BT before transfer(n=4,1.3%,pltivariate analysis,BT was the strongest independent predictor of early recanalisation(adjusted OR 10.9,95%CI 3.8 to 31.1,pllent outcome at 3 months(adjusted OR 1.38,95%CI 0.97 to 1.96,p=0.077).There were no differences in safety between the BT and no-BT *** BT initiated before transfer was a strong independent predictor of early recanalisation.
