In the textile industry,garment manufacturing contains four major pro-cesses containing cutting,sewing,ﬁnishing,and *** is the most crucial and intricate section,dealing with a large number of varied operations.A successful sewing process needs to be optimized regarding different factors,including time,sewing equipment,and skilled *** lineﬂow is combined by a set of operations with a particular *** utmost impor-tance of all garment industry is to arrange the workstations to minimize the num-ber of employees in order to produce at the best productive rate with the most reasonable cost,shortest time,and satisfying *** most garment factories,the production lines are balanced using the empirical judgment of the line *** the whole process the data of production time at each step,labor pro-ductivity,proper choices of equipment were always needed to calculate line efﬁ*** far as the issue is concerned,there has not been an academically sewing process analyzing software providing adequate data of sewing motions and sewing time as the credible input for the line balancing *** this goal,this paper presents the results of research on optimizing academically self-built software to analyze the sewing process of knitted products applied to industrial production using Java programming language on Google *** results achieved by the software are not only to analyze sewing products and the technological sewing process,calculate the sewing time on the machine but also analyze the sewing activities of workers into manipulations,movements,and motions to calculate the preparation time for two typical knitted products,namely,Polo-Shirt and T-Shirt with the case studies at General Textile Garment Joint Stock Company Hanoi and Star Fashion Company Limited.

This paper proposes an adaptive nonlinear proportional-derivative(ANPD)controller for a two-wheeled self-balancing robot(TWSB)modeled by the Lagrange equation with external *** proposed control scheme is designed based on the combination of a nonlinear proportional-derivative(NPD)controller and a genetic algorithm,in which the proportional-derivative(PD)parameters are updated online based on the tracking error and the preset error *** addition,the genetic algorithm is employed to adaptively select initial controller parameters,contributing to system stability and improved control *** proposed controller is basic in design yet simple to *** ANPD controller has the advantage of being computationally lightweight and providing high robustness against external *** stability of the closed-loop system is rigorously analyzed and verified using Lyapunov theory,providing theoretical assurance of its *** and experimental results show that the TWSB robot with the proposed ANPD controller achieves quick balance and tracks target values with very small errors,demonstrating the effectiveness and performance of the proposed *** proposed ANPD controller demonstrates significant improvements in balancing and tracking performance for two-wheeled self-balancing robots,which has great applicability in the field of robot control *** represents a promising solution for applications requiring precise and stable motion control under varying external conditions.

Based on the data collected at the Cau Da station, the Regional Ocean Modeling System (ROMS) is applied for hydrodynamics (e.g. circulation and temperature-salinity) in Binh Cang - Nha Trang Bay, Vietnam. The results present the several cases of hydrodynamic regimes in the Bay during two mainly monsoon seasons (northeast and southwest monsoons). The clearly hydrodynamic regime occurs in the bay due to the impacts of rivers and monsoon conditions. These changes could be contributed to the hydrodynamic systems and water exchanges, that support basic scientific information for sustainable development of Binh Cang - Nha Trang bay.

ENSO(El Niño-Southern Oscillation)phenomena have impacted on the hydrodynamic regime and environmental factors of the tropical ocean in *** case of Vietnamese South-Central Waters,impacts of ENSO only focused on issues of changing seasonal wind,seawater temperature anomalies,changing of water masses as the air-sea *** on several data sets collecting in the period of 2003-2017,new finding of seawater temperature,salinity and environmental factors was identified in the water masses of Vietnamese South-Central *** highest salinity was 35.4‰.During the El Nino event,increasing water temperature and salinity caused to move the deeper water masses to be closer to the sea surface than that initial depth in the neutral *** the La Nina event,the temperature of most water masses reduced by 0.1-3.0℃,and then these water masses could be affected to the deeper *** the phase from strong ENSO event towards the neutral time,nutrient salts of the 4 water masses were lower concentration in the neutral year,causing the lack of phosphorus in sea surface water masses.

Early Detection of QoE Deterioration in HTTP Adaptive Streaming

Apart from video rate (or requested bitrate), Mean Opinion Score (MOS) has increasingly become a primary term representing Quality of Experience (QoE) in HTTP adaptive streaming (HAS). By monitoring this metric, QoE management can effectively maximize QoE for the users. However, due to various behaviors of particular commercial HAS players, deciding an appropriate monitoring interval has not been fully investigated yet. In this paper, an optimal interval is proposed to be equal to duration of a video chunk in order to aid service managers in early detecting QoE deterioration and limiting the probability of video rate deterioration. The optimal monitoring interval is evaluated by comparing with other values of interval in terms of ratio of video rate deterioration. Furthermore, MOS-based QoE monitoring method which takes into account the proposed interval is thus compared with video rate based monitoring method. The results show that with optimal interval, MOS monitoring guarantees a low ratio of video rate deterioration (around 10% for buffering state and 40% for steady state) and small average CPU Load (about 11.45%).

In HTTP adaptive streaming (HAS) services, Quality of Experience (QoE) management has increasingly played an important role in guaranteeing the expected video quality perceived by the users with the minimal network resource. To achieve this, QoE must be automatically monitored and accurately controlled when it falls to a specific threshold. However, how to determine the QoE threshold with a scientific basis has not been carefully studied yet. In this paper, a new method to determine a QoE threshold based on biological information is proposed for a QoE management in HAS services. More concretely, the QoE threshold is determined by modeling the impact of the stimulus on the biological information obtained from the users who are watching videos. As the biological information, Skin Conductance and Heart Rate associated with Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) have been investigated. The evaluation results demonstrate that the QoE management by using the determined threshold can save more than 4.855% of the bandwidth consumption per control ensuring as high video quality as by using the fair threshold.

Pattern of smoking cessation and its associated factors in Vietnam

Background: Even though the number of research on tobacco in Vietnam has recently increased rapidly, there remains a lack of reporting on the pattern of quit smoking and its correlates. It is necessary to have scientific evidence on this issue to help the policy makers and the Public Health sector to have appropriate intervention program to enhance the smoke cessation smoke program and improve the health status of the smokers. This study aims to: (1) Describe the pattern of smoking cessation in Vietnam 2010. (2) Examine the association between smoking cessation with some associated factors in Vietnam 2010. Methods: Data used in this paper were obtained from the Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) conducted in Vietnam in 2010. A total of 11,142 households were selected for this survey using a two-phase sampling design analogous to a three-stage stratified cluster sampling. Both descriptive and analytical statistical analyses were carried out. Multivariate logistic regression modeling was performed to examine the association between the patterns of quit daily;quit smoke;attempt to quit and intend to quit among smokers with relevant factors. Results: The prevalence of the different type of cessation among male and female were 23.3% and 28.6% for quit daily;19.1% and 1.0% for quit;55.6% and 44.4% for attempt to quit and 29.6% and 19.3% for intend to quit respectively. The prevalence of quit daily and quit increased with age whereas attempt to quit decreased with age. Prevalence of cessation was highest among the group who were asked about smoking tobacco by health care providers. Some determinants of quit daily and quit include age, area, and knowledge of illnesses caused by smoking. There was no association between attempt and intend to quit with any socio-characteristic except for area. People in rural area were 2.1 and 1.7 times more likely attempt to quit and intend to quit than those in urban area, respectively. Conclusion: The GATS Vietnam 2010 showed that the prev
