The realization of spin-orbit-coupled ultracold gases has driven a wide range of research and is typically based on the rotating wave approximation(RWA).By neglecting the counter-rotating terms,RWA characterizes a single near-resonant spin-orbit(SO)coupling in a two-level ***,we propose and experimentally realize a new scheme for achieving a pair of two-dimensional(2D)SO couplings for ultracold fermions beyond *** work not only realizes the first anomalous Floquet topological Fermi gas beyond RWA,but also significantly improves the lifetime of the 2D-SO-coupled Fermi *** on pump-probe quench measurements,we observe a deterministic phase relation between two sets of SO couplings,which is characteristic of our beyond-RWA scheme and enables the two SO couplings to be simultaneously tuned to the optimum 2D *** observe intriguing band topology by measuring two-ring band-inversion surfaces,quantitatively consistent with a Floquet topological Fermi gas in the regime of high Chern *** study can open an avenue to explore exotic SO physics and anomalous topological states based on long-lived SO-coupled ultracold fermions.

BACKGROUND In rare cases,odontogenic keratocysts(ODs)transform into squamous cell *** between the first attendance of a patient and the diagnosis of OD with malignant transformation vary from weeks to *** this article,we report a case of malignancy derived from OD with a five-day delay in *** SUMMARY A 54-year-old woman was referred to Tongji Hospital in Wuhan,China with complaints of moderate pain,recurrent swelling,and pus discharge around her left maxillary lateral incisor for over 10 *** examination revealed a fistula at the palatine-side mucoperiosteum of the left maxillary lateral incisor and enlarged lymph node in the left *** beam computed tomography revealed a cystic lesion with massive bone destruction from the left maxillary central incisor to the left secondary maxillary premolar and local bony destruction in the left first mandibular *** patient was clinically diagnosed with *** rather than marsupialization was performed given the risk factors of long history,recent aggravated pain,and massive bony *** transformation of OD was confirmed by pathologists 3 d after the *** surgery was performed,and lymph node metastasis was *** patient was subjected to postoperative radiotherapy and synchronous chemotherapy,and no local recurrence or distant metastasis was noted at one-year *** Our case suggests that clinicians should be aware of the malignant transformation of OD,especially when patients present with a long history,massive cyst,chronic inflammation,recent persistent infections,aggravated pain,numbness around the cystic lesion,and lymph node enlargement.

BACKGROUND： The KEAP1-Nrf2 antioxidant signaling pathway is important in protecting liver from various insults. However,little is known about the expression of Nrf2-related genes in human liver in different ***： This study utilized normal donor liver tissues（n=35）, samples from patients with hepatocellular carcinoma（HCC, n=24）, HBV-related cirrhosis（n=27）, alcoholic cirrhosis（n=5） and end-stage liver disease（n=13）. All of the liver tissues were from the Oriental Liver Transplant Center, Beijing,China. The expressions of Nrf2 and Nrf2-related genes, including its negative regulator Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1（KEAP1）, its targeted gene NAD（P）H-quinone oxidoreductase 1（NQO1）, glutamate-cysteine ligase catalytic subunit（GCLC） and modified subunit（GCLM）, heme oxygenase 1（HO-1） and peroxiredoxin-1（PRDX1） were evaluated. RESULTS： The expression of Nrf2 was decreased in HCC, increased in alcoholic cirrhosis and end-stage liver disease. The expression of KEAP1 was increased in all of the liver *** most notable finding was the increased expression of NQO1 in HCC（18-fold）, alcoholic cirrhosis（6-fold）, endstage liver disease（5-fold） and HBV-related cirrhosis（3-fold）.Peri-HCC also had 4-fold higher NQO1 m RNA as compared to the normal livers. GCLC m RNA levels were lower only in HCC, as compared to the normal livers and peri-HCC *** m RNA levels were higher in HBV-related cirrhosis and end-stage liver disease. HO-1 m RNA levels were increased in all liver tissues except for HCC. Peri-HCC had higher PRDX1 m RNA levels compared with HCC and normal ***： Nrf2 and Nrf2-related genes are aberrantly expressed in the liver in different diseases and the increase of NQO1 was the most notable finding, especially in HCC.

Few-level systems consisting of a certain number of spin states have provided the basis of a wide range of cold atom ***,more developments are still needed for better preparation of isolated few-spin *** this work,we demonstrate a highly nonlinear spin-discriminating(HNSD)method for isolating an arbitrary few-level manifold out of a larger total number of spin ground states in fermionic alkaline-earth *** this method,we realize large and tunable energy shifts for unwanted spin states while inducing negligible shifts for the spin states of interest,which leads to a highly isolated few-spin system under minimal ***,the isolated few-spin system exhibits a long lifetime on the hundred-millisecond *** the HNSD method,we demonstrate a characteristic Rabi oscillation between the two states of an isolated two-spin Fermi *** method has wide applicability for realizing long-lived two-spin or high-spin quantum systems based on alkaline-earth fermions.

AIM： To investigate the effects of Danshao Huaxian （DSHX） capsules, a preparation of traditional Chinese medicine, on the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-1 （MMP-1）, and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase-1 （TIMP-1） in the fibrous livers of rats. METHODS： Eighty male Wistar rats were randomly divided into normal control group （group A）, CCl4-induced hepatic fibrosis group （group B）, non-DSHX-treated group （group C）, low dose-treated group （group D）, and high dose-treated group （group E）. Fibrous liver models in rats were induced by subcutaneous injection of CCI4, oral administration of alcohol and high-lipid/low-protein diet for 8 wk. After the models were established, the rats in groups D and E were orally given a low dose （0.5 g/kg） and a high dose （1.0 g/kg） of DSHX daily for 8 wk, respectively. Then, the liver indexes, serum hyaluronic acid （HA） and alanine aminotransferase （ALT） were examined. The degree of hepatic fibrosis was evaluated by optical microscopy. Hydroxyproline （Hyp） in the urine was determined, and the expression of MMP-1 and TIMP-1 was detected by immunohistochemical techniques. RESULTS： In groups D and E, the liver indexes, levels of serum HA and ALT reduced and development of hepatic fibrosis weakened significantly. The urinary Hyp and expression of MMP-1 in the liver tissues elevated, but the expression of TIMP-1 decreased obviously, as compared to groups B and ***： DSHX enhances the expression of MMP-1 but decreases that of TIMP-1 in liver tissues of CCI4-induced hepatic fibrotic rats, which may result in its elevated activity that contributes to fighting against hepatic fibrosis.
