China’s architecture,engineering,and construction(AEC)industry needs a clear and sustainable development *** inspiration from speeches delivered at a seminar hosted by the Chinese Academy of Engineering and extensive literature research on Chinese policies,this article presents a summary of the current trends in the AEC industry in four dimensions:industrialization as the foundation,intelligence as the enabler,lean management as the strategy,and green development as the *** four dimensions are intricately interconnected and rooted in multiple *** article provides a detailed review of the current practices,challenges,and future directions associated with each ***,ten grand challenges were proposed to stimulate discussions on the future of the AEC *** article offers an overarching understanding of the AEC industry and presents a four-dimension framework for sustainable development,which can be valuable for AEC practitioners.

The rational design of metal single-atom catalysts(SACs)for electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)is ***-dimensional metal-organic frameworks(2DMoFs)is a unique class of promising *** to now,the roles of individual metals,coordination atoms,and their synergy effect on the electroanalytic performance remain ***,in this work,a series of 2DMoFs with different metals and coordinating atoms are systematically investigated as electrocatalysts for ammonia synthesis using density functional theory *** a specific metal,a proper metal-intermediate atoms p-d orbital hybridization interaction strength is found to be a key indicator for their NRR catalytic *** hybridization interaction strength can be quantitatively described with the p-/d-band center energy difference(Δd-p),which is found to be a sufficient descriptor for both the p-d hybridization strength and the NRR *** maximum free energy change(ΔG_(max))andΔd-p have a volcanic relationship with osC_(4)(Se)_(4)located at the apex of the volcanic curve,showing the best NRR *** asymmetrical coordination environment could regulate the band structure subtly in terms of band overlap and *** work may shed new light on the application of orbital engineering in electrocatalytic NRR activity and especially promotes the rational design for SACs.

Aiming at evaluating and predicting rapidly and accurately a high sensitivity receiver’s adaptability in complex electromagnetic environments,a novel testing and prediction method based on dual-channel multi-frequency is proposed to improve the traditional two-tone ***,two signal generators are used to generate signals at the radio frequency(RF)by frequency scanning,and then a rapid measurement at the intermediate frequency(IF)output port is carried out to obtain a huge amount of sample data for the subsequent ***,the IF output response data are modeled and analyzed to construct the linear and nonlinear response constraint equations in the frequency domain and prediction models in the power domain,which provide the theoretical criteria for interpreting and predicting electromagnetic susceptibility(EMS)of the *** experiment performed on a radar receiver confirms the reliability of the method proposed in this *** shows that the interference of each harmonic frequency and each order to the receiver can be identified and predicted with the sensitivity *** on this,fast and comprehensive evaluation and prediction of the receiver’s EMS in complex environment can be efficiently realized.

Structural nonlinearities such as freeplay will affect the stability and even flight safety of the fin-actuator *** is a lack of a practical method for designing Active Flutter Suppression (AFS) control laws for nonlinear fin-actuator systems.A design method for the AFS controller of the nonlinear all-movable fin-electromechanical actuator system is established by combining the inverse system and the Immersion and Invariance (I&I) ***,the composite control law combining the inverse system principle and internal model control is used to offset the nonlinearity and dynamics of the actuator,so that its driving torque can follow the ideal ***,the ideal torque of the actuator is designed employing the I&I *** unfavorable oscillation of the fin is suppressed by making the output torque of the actuator track the ideal *** simulation results reveal that the proposed AFS method can increase the flutter speed of the nonlinear finactuator system with freeplay,and a set of controller parameters is also applicable for wider freeplay within a certain *** power required for the actuator does not exceed the power that can be provided by the commonly used aviation *** method can also resist a certain level of noise and external disturbance.

A comprehensive modeling strategy for studying the thermomechanical tribological behaviors is proposed in this *** wear degradation considering the influence of temperature(T)is predicted by Archard wear model with the help of the UMESHMoTIoN subroutine and arbitrary Lagrangian–Eulerian(ALE)remeshing *** the proposed method,the thermomechanical tribological behaviors of railway vehicle disc brake system composed of forged steel brake disc and Cu-based powder metallurgy(PM)friction block are studied *** effectiveness of the proposed methodology is validated by experimental test on a self-designed scaled brake test bench from the perspectives of interface temperature,wear degradation,friction noise and vibration,and contact status *** work can provide an effective way for the investigation of thermomechanical tribological behaviors in the engineering field.

Contaminants of Emerging Concern(CECs)are human-made chemicals that remain *** continuous detection of CECs in aquatic ecosystems,due to their incomplete removal,emphasizes the importance of understanding their fate and impact on the environment and human *** detrimental effects of CECs on marine eukaryotes are well documented in multiple ***,their impact on marine bacteria and their biodegradation by these organisms are not well *** this study,two marine bacteria,Priestia sp.35 oDPABA G14 and Rhodococcus sp.23 AHTN G14,previously isolated from submarine sediments,were *** two strains were tested for their resistance as well as their capacity to degrade different classes of hydrophobic and hydrophilic CECs,including synthetic musks,UV filters,pesticides and *** strains showed high resistance to all of the hydrophobic tested CECs even up to 500 mg L^(-1).only Ketoprofen was toxic to bacterial cells,particularly to Rhodococcus *** at concentration as low as 4 mg L^(-1).Furthermore,Priestia *** Rhodococcus *** exhibited high biodegradation potential,especially for hydrophobic *** this may not apply to all pollutants,the data presented in this study suggest a positive correlation between marine bacterial resistance to CECs and their high biodegradation potentials.
