The cerebellum has a complex network and relates to various clinical functions including ataxia, gait disturbance, hearing and vision, cognition and affective control. Cerebellar peduncles are the structure connecting the cerebellum to the brain stem and the cerebrum. There exist three cerebellar peduncles. The superior cerebellar peduncle （SCP） involves vestibular sense and proprio- ception connecting to the thalamocortical pathway. The middle cerebellar peduncle （MCP） is the largest structure among the three cerebellar peduncles conveying impulses from the cerebral cortex to the cerebellum through corticopontocerebellar tract.

Flash floods are deemed the most fatal and disastrous natural hazards globally due to their prompt onset that requires a short prime time for emergency *** Internet of things(CIoT)technologies including inherent characteristics of cognitive radio(CR)are potential candidates to develop a monitoring and early warning system(MEWS)that helps in efficiently utilizing the short response time to save lives during flash ***,most CIoT devices are battery-limited and thus,it reduces the lifetime of the *** tackle these problems,we propose a CIoTbased MEWS to slash the fatalities of flash *** extend the lifetime of the MEWS by conserving the limited battery energy of CIoT sensors,we formulate a resource assignment problem for maximizing energy *** solve the problem,at first,we devise a polynomial-time heuristic energyefficient scheduler(EES-1).However,its performance can be unsatisfactory since it requires an exhaustive search to find local optimum values without consideration of the overall network energy *** enhance the energy efficiency of the proposed EES-1 scheme,we additionally formulate an optimization problem based on a maximum weight matching bipartite ***,we additionally propose a Hungarian algorithm-based energy-efficient scheduler(EES-2),solvable in polynomial *** simulation results show that the proposed EES-2 scheme achieves considerably high energy efficiency in the CIoT-based MEWS,leading to the extended lifetime of the MEWS without loss of throughput performance.

Since the introduction of the Internet of Things(IoT),several researchers have been exploring its productivity to utilize and organize the spectrum *** radio(CR)technology is characterized as the best aspirant for wireless communications to augment IoT *** the CR networks,secondary users(sus)opportunistically get access to the primary users(PUs)spectrum through spectrum *** multipath issues in the wireless channel can fluster the sensing ability of the individual ***,several cooperative sus are engaged in cooperative spectrum sensing(CSS)to ensure reliable sensing *** CSS,security is still a major concern for the researchers to safeguard the fusion center(FC)against abnormal sensing reports initiated by the malicious users(MUs).In this paper,butterfly optimization algorithm(BOA)-based soft decision method is proposed to find an optimized weighting coefficient vector correlated to the sus sensing *** coefficient vector is utilized in the soft decision rule at the FC before making any global *** effectiveness of the proposed scheme is compared for a variety of parameters with existing schemes through simulation *** results confirmed the supremacy of the proposed BOA scheme in both the normal sus’environment and when lower and higher SNRs information is carried by the different categories of MUs.

A cognitive radio network(CRN)intelligently utilizes the available spectral resources by sensing and learning from the radio environment to maximize spectrum *** CRNs,the secondary users(sus)opportunistically access the primary users(PUs)***,unambiguous detection of the PU channel occupancy is the most critical aspect of the operations of *** spectrum sensing(CSS)is rated as the best choice for making reliable sensing *** paper employs machinelearning tools to sense the PU channels reliably in *** sensing parameters are reconfigured to maximize the spectrum utilization while reducing sensing error and cost with improved channel *** fine-k-nearest neighbor algorithm(FKNN),employed in this paper,estimates the number of samples based on the nature of the channel under-specific detection and false alarm probability *** simulation results reveal that the sensing cost is suppressed by reducing the sensing time and exploiting the traditional fusion rules,validating the effectiveness of the proposed ***,the global decision made at the fusion center(FC)based on the modified sensing samples,results low energy consumption,higher throughput,and improved detection with low error probabilities.

Internet of Things(IoT)network used for industrial management is vulnerable to different security threats due to its unstructured deployment,and dynamic communication *** literature various mechanisms addressed the security issue of Industrial IoT networks,but proper maintenance of the performance reliability is among the common *** this paper,we proposed an intelligent mutual authentication scheme leveraging authentication aware node(AAN)and base station(BS)to identify routing attacks in Industrial IoT *** AAN and BS uses the communication parameter such as a route request(RREQ),node-ID,received signal strength(RSS),and round-trip time(RTT)information to identify malicious devices and routes in the deployed *** feasibility of the proposed model is validated in the simulation environment,where OMNeT++was used as a simulation *** compare the results of the proposed model with existing field-proven schemes in terms of routing attacks detection,communication cost,latency,computational cost,and *** results show that our proposed scheme surpasses the previous schemes regarding these performance parameters with the attack detection rate of 97.7%.

The solid-liquid viscous system formed by high viscosity crystallization solution impacts the flow and separation ***,it is very important to study the viscosity mechanism to improve viscosity and regulate crystallization,ensuring a seamless production ***,the viscosity of crystallization solution was taken as the measurement parameter of caffeine as a model *** investigated the viscosity mechanism of caffeine crystallization solutions by combining experiment and *** results indicated that the weak interactions between caffeine and water result in increased viscosity of the caffeine crystallization ***,caffeine crystals possess elongated needle-like shapes,featuring a substantial specific surface ***,there isπ-πstacking occurring between the(200)crystal face and(110)crystal face,effectively fostering coalescence of the crystals towards the radial side of the crystal along its elongated axis,resulting in a more viscous crystallization *** results contribute to comprehending the viscosity mechanism of crystal systems and provide theoretical foundation to enhance engineering efficiency in crystallization.

In combination with theoretical calculations,experiments were conducted to investigate the evolution behavior of nonmetallic inclusions(NMIs)during the manufacture of large-scale heat-resistant steel ingots using 9CrMoCoB heat-resistant steel and CaF_(2)–CaO–Al_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)–B_(2)O_(3)electroslag remelting(ESR)-type slag in an 80-t industrial ESR *** main types of NMI in the consumable electrode comprised pure alumina,a multiphase oxide consisting of an Al_(2)O_(3)core and liquid CaO–Al_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)–MnO shell,and M_(23)C_(6)carbides with an MnS *** Al_(2)O_(3)and MnS inclusions had higher precipitation temperatures than the M_(23)C_(6)-type carbide under equilibrium and nonequilibrium solidification ***,inclusions can act as nucleation sites for carbide layer *** ESR process completely removed the liquid CaO–Al_(2)O_(3)–SiO_(2)–MnO oxide and MnS inclusion with a carbide shell,and only the Al_(2)O_(3)inclusions and Al_(2)O_(3)core with a carbide shell occupied the remelted *** M_(23)C_(6)-type carbides in steel were determined as Cr_(23)C_(6)based on the analysis of transmission electron microscopy *** substitution of Cr with W,Fe,or/and Mo in the Cr_(23)C_(6)lattice caused slight changes in the lattice parameter of the Cr_(23)C_(6)***,Cr_(21.34)Fe_(1.66)C_(6),(Cr_(19)W_(4)C_(6),Cr_(18.4)Mo_(4.6)C_(6),and Cr_(16)Fe_(5)Mo_(2)C_(6)can match the fraction pattern of Cr_(23)C_(6)*** Al_(2)O_(3)inclusions in the remelted ingot formed due to the reduction of CaO,SiO_(2),and MnO components in the liquid *** increased Al content in liquid steel or the higher supersaturation degree of Al_(2)O_(3)precipitation in the remelted ingot than that in the electrode can be attributed to the evaporation of CaF_(2)and the increase in CaO content in the ESR-type slag.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is the fifth most common malignant disease worldwide, and curative treatment remains difficult because the majority of cases are diagnosed in the advanced stage. Sorafenib is the only known effective systemic treatment, but patients rarely achieve complete remission (CR). A 66-year-old man with a history of alcoholic liver cirrhosis with a diagnosis of advanced HCC, was initially treated with transarterial chemoembolization on four occasions. However, the disease progressed with portal vein thrombosis. Therefore, sorafenib was started, and 4 mo later, the patient achieved CR. The treatment was continued for 12 mo, and CR was maintained up to 4 mo after sorafenib discontinuation.

Mutualistic interactions between marine phototrophs and associated bacteria are an important strategy for their success-ful survival in the ocean,but little is known about their metabolic ***,bacterial communities in the algal sphere(AS)and bulk solution(BS)of nine marine red algal cultures were analyzed,and Roseibium and Phycisphaera were identified significantly more abundantly in AS than in *** metabolic features of Roseibium RMAR6-6(isolated and genome-sequenced),Phycisphaera MAG 12(obtained by metagenomic sequencing),and a marine red alga,Porphyridium purpureum CCMP1328(from GenBank),were analyzed ***6-6 has the genetic capability to fix nitrogen and produce B vitamins(B1,B2,B5,B6,B9,and B12),bacterioferritin,dimethylsulfoniopropionate(DMSP),and phenylacetate that may enhance algal growth,whereas MAG 12 may have a limited metabolic capability,not producing vitamins B9 and B12,DMSP,phenylacetate,and siderophores,but with the ability to produce bacitracin,possibly modulating algal *** CCMP1328 lacks the genetic capability to fix nitrogen and produce vitamin B12,DMSP,phenylacetate,and *** was shown that the nitrogen-fixing ability of RMAR6-6 promoted the growth of ***-pureum,and DMSP reduced the oxidative stress of *** metabolic interactions between strain RMAR6-6 and *** CCMP1328 were also investigated by the transcriptomic analyses of their monoculture and *** together,potential metabolic relationships between Roseibium and *** were *** study provides a bet-ter understanding of the metabolic relationships between marine algae and algae-associated bacteria for successful growth.

Liposarcoma of the Testis and Spermatic Cord

Primary liposarcoma of the spermatic cord is rare, and preoperative diagnosis is difficult. We report a rare case of well-differentiated liposarcoma in 65-year-old man. The patient’s chief complaint was painless enlargement of a mass in the right inguinal area that had persisted for about two months. The main component of the mass was wrapped around the spermatic cord and several components were around the testis. Ultrasonography of the main component showed mixed echogenicity. CT showed an ovoid fat-containing nodule and several other fat-density masses surrounding the testis. The mass was surgically removed, along with the right testis and spermatic cord. A pathological examination showed a well-differentiated liposarcoma of the right spermatic cord and testis.
