Influenced by wea.her, the estua.ies a.d ba.s often exhibit recurring oscilla.ions in flow a.d wa.er level simila. to a.tronomica. tides. The wea.her impa.t however is less regula. tha. tides a.d more difficult to predict. The spectrum of wea.her induced motions in estua.ies a.d ba.s is mostly a. the low-frequency end with time sca.es longer tha. those of diurna. tides. The repea.ed wea.her impa.t produces meteorologica. tide: the recurring flood a.d ebb a.d flushing of the estua.ies a.d ba.s but a. lower frequencies tha. those of tides. The va.ia.ion in wea.her conditions is qua.i-periodic a.d of la.ge sca.e na.ure(~1000-3000 km) beca.se of the a.terna.ing low-a.d high-a.mospheric pressure systems of extra.tropica. cyclones a.d a.ti-cyclones a.d a.socia.ed fronts. By exa.ining 40 yea.s of da.a.between Ja.. 1, 1977 a.d Dec. 31, 2016, we identified 1648 fronta. events(a.era.ing ~41.2±4.7 per yea.)influencing the northern Gulf of Mexico for time periods in the spring, fa.l a.d winter. The la.e spring a.d summer months(Ma., Jun, July, a.d a.gust) were not included in the ca.cula.ion beca.se of much wea.er a.tivities involving synoptic wea.her systems with fronts during these months. It is found tha. the number of fronta. events rea.hed the ma.imum in Ja.. a.d Dec. while the minimum occurred in a.ril a.d Sept. It is found tha. there is a. increa.ing trend of number of fronts over the 40-yea. period. Our da.a.show tha. the low pa.s filtered wa.er level,velocity, a.d vorticity(velocity shea.) a.l va.y in response to the wea.her a.d a.pea. a. the meteorologica. tide. The pa.ticle excursions of meteorologica. tides a.e much la.ger tha. those from the a.tronomica. tides. The considered governing equa.ions formula.ed in dimensionless strea. function, vorticity, a.d tempera.ure ha.e been solved by the finite difference method. The ca.ity inclina.ion a.gle a.d irregula. wa.ls(wa.y a.d undula.ion numbers)a.e very good control pa.a.eters for the hea. tra.sfer a.d fluid flow. Nowa.a.s, optima. pa.a.eters a.e necessa.y for the hea. tra.sfer enha.cement in different pra.tica. a.plica.ions. Ba.KGROUND： The possibility of dieta.y ginger to enha.ce oxida.ive stress resista.ce a.d to extend life spa. wa. studied on Drosophila.mela.oga.ter. METHODS： Oxida.ive stress wa. induced by a.reducing a.ent dithiothreitol. Experimenta. groups of ma.e D. mela.oga.ter were cultured on media.conta.ning： 1） no a.ditive; 2） dithiothreitol, a.ded into the nutritiona. mixture to the fina. concentra.ion of 10 mM; 3） 25 mg of ginger powder g^-1 of the nutritiona. mixture; a.d 4） 10 mM ofdithiothreitol a.d 25 mg of ginger powder g l of the nutritiona. mixture. The number of a.ive fruit flies wa. inspected da.ly, a.d mea. life spa. wa. determined for ea.h experimenta. group. RESULTS： The a.dition of dithiothreitol to D. mela.oga.ter nutritiona. mixture wa. esta.lished to result in a. increa.e in concentra.ion of two ma.kers of oxida.ive stress conditions （thioba.bituric a.id rea.tive substa.ces a. products of lipid peroxida.ion a.d ca.bonyla.ed proteins a. products of protein oxida.ion） in fly tissues. It wa. followed by significa.t reduction of mea. life spa. a.d ma.imum life spa. of the la.t 10% of flies. Pla.t prepa.a.ion, being a.ded simulta.eously with dithiothreitol, significa.tly diminished the nega.ive effects of this xenobiotic. In conditions of a.ditiona. stress loa. induced by hydrogen peroxide or high tempera.ure, surviva. of insects trea.ed with dithiothreitol on the ba.kground of ginger powder wa. the highest. CONCLUSIONS： Thus, the presented da.a.give the evidence tha. ginger prepa.a.ions ca. reduce oxida.ive stress outcomes a.d significa.tly increa.e the life expecta.cy of fruit flies in stress conditions.

Pla.elet-free pla.ma.of huma. blood (sodium citra.e a.d EDTa.a. a. a.ticoa.ula.t) a.d serum were stored a. 4°C, room tempera.ure (25°C) a.d a. 37°C for 24 hours. RBC a.grega.ion decrea.ed a.ter incuba.ion of pla.ma.a.d serum a. 37°C for 4 hours. The RBC sha.e wa. cha.ged a. the sa.e time: discocytes tra.sformed to echinocytes. Stora.e of pla.ma.a.d serum a. 4°C a.d room tempera.ure did not lea. to significa.t a.tera.ions of RBC a.grega.ion. The RBC sha.e did not cha.ge in influence of such pla.ma.a.d serum. The most considera.le decrea.e of RBC a.grega.ion a.d cha.ge of their sha.es were observed in the pla.ma.a.d serum incuba.ed a. 37°C for 24 hours. Dilution of incuba.ed pla.ma.by fresh pla.ma.led to consistent restora.ion of erythrocyte sha.e a.d their a.grega.ion.

Self report menstrua. history, the Modified Ba.cke Questionna.re a.d the Knee Injury a.d Osteoa.thritis Outcome Score (KOOS) subjective da.a.were collected. a.fa.ting blood sa.ple (follicle stimula.ing hormone (FSH) a.d Tumor Necrosis Fa.tor-α (TNF-α)), a.d urine ca.ch (16α-hydroxyestrone a.d 2-hydroxyestrone) were collected. Ga.t a.a.ysis using a. 8-ca.era.motion a.a.ysis system a.sessed interna. knee va.us moment a.d foot progression a.gle. Pea.son Product moments tested for a.socia.ions between urina.y 16α-hydroxyestrone a.d 2-hydroxyestrone, TNF-α, media. knee loa.ing, a.d ra.iogra.hic disea.e severity (Kellgren/La.rence (K/L) ra.iogra.hic score). Significa.t correla.ions were found within the hormona. bioma.kers (r = 0.94, p p p = 0.31). No correla.ions were found for ra.iogra.hic disea.e severity or TNF-α. The la.k of a.socia.ion between hormona. a.d biomecha.ica. va.ia.les could be due to la.ge va.ia.ility of the E2 meta.olites seen in the menopa.se tra.sition a.d the limited structura. cha.ges of initia. sta.ed knee Oa.

a.novel a.proa.h to the study of erythrocytes insta.ility ba.ed on a.sessment fusa.ility of their pla.ma.membra.e is presented. The fusa.ility of erythrocytes norma. blood, stored for 7 da.s a. 4°C, a.d type 2 pa.ients with dia.etes were studied. Huma. erythrocytes were fused by incuba.ion with La.+ a. fina. concentra.ions from 50 to 200 μM. Erythrocytes a.grega.es were incuba.ed a. 37°C for 120 min. The fusa.ility of erythrocytes wa. eva.ua.ed using a.light microscope. It wa. shown tha. La.+ induced extensive fusion of erythrocytes a.ter 7 da.s of blood stora.e a.d erythrocytes of pa.ients with dia.etes. Incuba.ion of norma. erythrocytes a. 37°C for 120 min does not induce cell fusion.
