Multi-wavelength observations of the 2014 June 11 M3.9 flare: temporal and spatial characteristics

We present multi-wavelength observations of an M-class flare(M3.9) that occurred on 2014 June *** observations were conducted with the Dunn Solar Telescope(DST),employing adaptive optics,the multi-camera system Rapid Oscillations in Solar Atmosphere(ROSA),the new Hydrogen-Alpha Rapid Dynamics camera(HARDcam) in various wavelengths,such as Ca II K,Mg I b2(at 5172.7 A),and Hα narrow band and G-band continuum *** were re-constructed using the Kiepenheuer-Institut Speckle Interferometry Package(KISIP) code,to improve our image *** observed intensity increases of ≈120%–150% in the Mg,Ca K and Hα narrow band filters during the *** increases for the flare observed in the SDO EUV channels were several times larger,and the X-rays,as recorded by GOES,increased over a factor of 30 for the harder *** a modest delay was found between the onset of flare ribbons of a nearby sympathetic flare and the main flare ribbons observed in these narrow band *** peak flare emission occurred within a few seconds for the Ca K,Mg and Hα *** techniques indicate propagation velocities of ≈60 km s^-1 for the main flare ribbon and as high as300 km s^-1 for smaller regions,which we attribute to filament *** result and delays and velocities observed with SDO(≈100 km s^-1) for different coronal heights agree well with the simple model of energy propagation versus height,although a more detailed model for the flaring solar atmosphere is ***,we detected marginal quasi-periodic pulsations(QPPs) in the 40–60 s range for the Ca K,Mg and Hα bands,and such measurements are important for disentangling the detailed flare-physics.

Tropospheric ozone(O_(3))concentration is increasing in China along with dramatic changes in precursor emissions and meteorological conditions,adversely affecting human health and ecosystems.O_(3) is formed from the complex nonlinear photochemical reactions from nitrogen oxides(NOx=NO+NO_(2))and volatile organic compounds(VOCs).Although the mechanism of O_(3) formation is rather clear,describing and analyzing its changes and formation potential at fine spatial and temporal resolution is still a challenge *** this study,we briefly summarized and evaluated different approaches that indicate O_(3) formation *** identify that atmospheric oxidation capacity(AOC)is a better indicator of photochemical reactions leading to the formation of O_(3) and other secondary *** show that AOC has a prominent positive relationship to O_(3) in the major city clusters in China,with a goodness of fit(R^(2))up to *** outcome provides a novel perspective in characterizing O_(3) formation and has significant implications for formulating control strategies of secondary pollutants.

The lifetime of orthopaedic implants can be extended by coating the softer Ti6Al4V alloy with harder biocompatible thin *** this work,thin films of Ti_((1-x))Au_((x))are grown on Ti_(6)Al_(4)V and glass substrates by magnetron sputtering in the entire x=0-1 range,before their key biomechanical properties are performance tuned by thermal *** the first time,we explore the effect of in-situ substrate heating versus ex-situ post-deposition heat-treatment,on development of mechanical and biocompatibility performance in Ti-Au films.A~250% increase in hardness is achieved for Ti-Au films compared to bulk Ti6Al4V and a~40%improvement from 8.8 GPa as-grown to 11.9 and 12.3 GPa with in-situ and ex-situ heat-treatment respectively,is corelated to changes in structural,morphological and chemical properties,providing insights into the origins of super-hardness in the Ti rich regions of these materials.X-ray diffraction reveals that as-grown films are in nanocrystalline states of Ti-Au intermetallic phases and thermal activation leads to emergence of mechanically hard Ti-Au intermetallics,with films prepared by in-situ substrate heating having enhanced crystalline *** morphology images show clear changes in grain size,shape and surface roughness following thermal activation,while elemental analysis reveals that in-situ substrate heating is better for development of oxide free Ti3Auβ-*** tested Ti-Au films are non-cytotoxic against L929 mouse fibroblast cells,while extremely low leached ion concentrations confirm their *** peak hardness performance tuned to>12 GPa and excellent biocompatibility,Ti-Au films have potential as a future coating technology for load bearing medical implants.

In this study,particle resuspension due to surface vibration was investigated.A spherical particle was assumed to rest on top of a thin plate,and an external vibrating force was applied normal on the plate at t=0 and at distance R from the *** external driving force created a displacement field in both time and space domains,where deformations in the body of the plate were considered small elastic oscillations that are perpendicular to the propagation of the *** oscillations were introduced via the theory of elasticity and the creation of waves on thin plates,i.e.,bending *** motion in the vertical direction was initiated through plate displacement,provided that inertia due to particle mass is *** particular,the particle was assumed to oscillate with a force(of oscillation)estimated via Newton’s second law of motion,comprising of two components:the acceleration due to the plate displacement and the particle ***,a simple force balance method was used to determine the conditions for ***,resuspension occurs when the oscillation force exceeds the couple of the adhesive and gravitational *** results suggest that the plate displacement depends on the characteristics of the applied force,material properties,and plate *** addition,it was found that the oscillation force is substantially lower than the applied force and that it depends on plate displacement and particle ***,the particle size significantly influencedthe outcome of ***,resuspension is favorable for large particles,strong applied forces,and high forcing frequencies.

We demonstrate,both analytically and experimentally,free-space pin-like optical vortex beams (POVBs). Such angular-momentum-carrying beams feature tunable peak intensity and undergo robust antidiffracting propagation,realized by judiciously modulating both the amplitude and the phase profile of a standard laser ***,they are generated by superimposing a radially symmetric power-law phase on a helical phase structure,which allows the inclusion of an orbital angular momentum term to the POVBs. During propagation in free space,these POVBs initially exhibit autofocusing dynamics,and subsequently their amplitude patterns morph into a high-order Bessel-like profile characterized by a hollow core and an annular main lobe with a constant or tunable width during propagation. In contrast with numerous previous endeavors on Bessel beams,our work represents the first demonstration of long-distance free-space generation of optical vortex "pins" with their peak intensity evolution controlled by the impressed amplitude structure. Both the Poynting vectors and the optical radiation forces associated with these beams are also numerically analyzed,revealing novel properties that may be useful for a wide range of applications.

Currently, modeling studies tend to significantly underestimate observed space-based glyoxal （CHOCHO） vertical column densities （VCDs）, implying the existence of missing sources of giyoxal. Several recent studies suggest that the emissions of aromatic compounds and molar yields of glyoxal in the chemical mechanisms may both be underestimated, which can affect the simulated glyoxal concentrations. In this study, the influences of these two factors on glyoxal amounts over China were investigated using the RAMS-CMAQ modeling system for January and July 2014. Four sensitivity simulations were performed, and the results were compared to satellite observations. These results demonstrated significant impacts on glyoxal concentrations from these two factors. In case 1, where the emissions of aromatic compounds were increased three-fold, improvements to glyoxal VCDs were seen in high anthropogenic emissions regions. In case 2, where molar yields of glyoxal from isoprene were increased five-fold, the resulted concentrations in July were B-B-fold higher, achieving closer agreement between the modeled and measured glyoxal VCDs. The combined changes from both cases 1 and 2 were applied in case B, and the model succeeded in further reducing the underestimations of glyoxal VCDs. However, the results over most of the regions with pronounced anthropogenic emissions were still underestimated. So the molar yields of giyoxal from anthropogenic precursors were considered in case 4. With these additional mole yield changes （a two-fold increase）, the improved concentrations agreed better with the measurements in regions of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River and Yellow River in January but not in July.

高分子倒装芯片(PFC)工艺作为一种新兴的、更经济的以及更为先进的芯片装配的方法及某些应用已发表。另外,应用于智能卡和PCMCIA卡的倒装芯片安装技术也已被公开。本文的焦点话题是使用EPOTEK的高分子倒装芯片工艺技术装配的智能卡/IC微电子模块耐受高热和环境磨砺的可靠性。。所选取的测试样本均为4K系列EPROM器件,都是按照ISO7816-1,2或ISO7810的要求和标准进行装配并测试的。可靠性测试项目包括:-35C/24小时的低温存储,125C/48小时的高温存储,-30C到70C冷热循环10次,85C/85%RH恒温/恒湿存储96小时;测试项目还包括:96小时的盐雾环境存储和ESD敏感度测试(MS3015-4KV)。最后进行的测试是135C烘烤1000小时后各项性能数据的保持力。在个人电脑界面上植入一种智能卡读取器,用于运行一个诊断软件程序。一种可重复利用的卡片固定器被用于在诊断测试过程中临时固定那些装配好的内存芯片模块。这种软件程序被设计为分别在芯片装置上的每一存储区域写上一组特别的原始数据,然后再将这些数据读取回来,与原始数据相比较,确定是否有错误,最后把结果显示出来。高分子倒装芯片装配的“成功”或“失败”的判断方法就这样得以建立。PFC工艺装配得到的智能卡模块可以达到以上耐受环境和电气可靠性的全部要求。在智能卡的制造历史上,高分子倒装芯片工艺是被第一次成功地使用,使用这种技术在芯片的连接垫片和基板连接点之间创建的导电连接能经受所有的可靠性测试。PFC技术虽为新生事物,但是已经被证明它在智能卡模块的装配上是低成本和高可靠性兼备的疏遇难求的通途。

Dependence Theory and Radio： An Evaluation on How Radio Can Change Future Dreams

Radio is all about dreams. This old and tired medium now fights with new media as it is with its old enemy television. Radio has a big impact on dreams. It gives you the sound and makes you dream. Once you get used to this media you start dreaming. If you used to listen radio more, you get in dependence with it. So this day dreaming change to lifeless dreaming. This article gives an evaluation of how radio audience can shape audience future dreams with dependence theory. The paper starts with a conceptual explanation of dependence theory and goes on with a survey done in Turkey to 101 radio listeners. The survey investigates on how people like listening the radio and what makes them enjoy radio. The survey assumes that people listening to radio and getting depended on it start changing the behaviors and habits of listeners. This behavior change effects listeners future dreams and the audience take radio as a model. The paper shows by using the dependence theory that radio listeners take the radio they love as model and use it to build their future business dreams.
