Breast cancer is the number one cause of can- cer deaths among Hispanic women in the United States, and in Mexico, it recently became the primary cause of cancer deaths. This malign- nancy represents a poorly understood and un- derstudied disease in Hispanic women. The ELLA Binational Breast Cancer Study was es- tablished in 2006 as a multi-center study to as- sess patterns of breast tumor markers, clinical characteristics, and their risk factors in women of Mexican descent. We describe the design and implementation of the ELLA Study and provide a risk factor comparison between women in the U.S. and those in Mexico based on a sample of 765 patients (364 in the U.S. and 401 in Mexico). Compared to women in Mexico, U.S. women had significantly (p < 0.05) lower parity (3.2 vs. 3.9 mean live births) and breastfeeding rates (57.5% vs. 80.5%), higher use of oral contraceptives (60.7% vs. 50.1%) and hormone replacement therapy (23.3% vs. 7.6%), and higher family history of breast cancer (15.7% vs. 9.0%). Re- sults show that differences in breast cancer risk factor patterns exist between Mexico and U.S. women. We provide lessons learned from the conduct of our study. Binational studies are an important step in understanding disease pat- terns and etiology for women in both countries.

In this paper we describe the potential of the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry(eXTP) mission for studies related to accretion flows in the strong field gravity regime around both stellar-mass and supermassive black-holes. eXTP has the unique capability of using advanced "spectral-timing-polarimetry" techniques to analyze the rapid variations with three orthogonal diagnostics of the flow and its geometry, yielding unprecedented insight into the inner accreting regions, the effects of strong field gravity on the material within them and the powerful outflows which are driven by the accretion process.

*** strongest locus which associated with type 2 diabetes(T2D)by the common variant rs7903146 is the transcription factor 7-like 2 gene(TCF7L2).We aimed to quantify the interaction of diet/lifestyle interventions and the genetic effect of TCF7L2 rs7903146 on glycemic traits,body weight,or waist circumference in overweight or obese adults in several randomized controlled trials(RCTs).*** October 2016 to May 2018,a large collaborative analysis was performed by pooling individualparticipant data from 7 *** RCTs reported changes in glycemic control and adiposity of the variant rs7903146 after dietary/lifestyle-related interventions in overweight or obese *** treatment interaction models which used the genetic effect encoded by the allele dose and common covariates were applicable to individual participant data in all *** the joint analysis,a total of 7 eligible RCTs were included(n=4,114).Importantly,we observed a significant effect modification of diet/lifestyle-related interventions on the TCF7L2 variant rs7903146 and changes in fasting *** with the control group,diet/lifestyle interventions were related to lower fasting glucose by-3.06(95%CI,-5.77 to-0.36)mg/dL(test for heterogeneity and overall effect:I^(2)=45:1%,p<0:05;z=2:20,p=0:028)per one copy of the TCF7L2 T risk ***,regardless of genetic risk,diet/lifestyle interventions were associated with lower waist ***,there was no significant change for diet/lifestyle interventions in other glycemic control and adiposity traits per one copy of TCF7L2 risk *** findings suggest that carrying the TCF7L2 T risk allele may have a modestly greater benefit for specific diet/lifestyle interventions to improve the control of fasting glucose in overweight or obese adults.

背景脂肪基质血管细胞群（stromal vascular fraction cells，SVFCs）是再生医学中脂肪来源间充质干细胞（adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells，ADMSCs）的重要来源。从脂肪组织中获取SVFCs的方法有很多，包括机械法和酶消化法。获得的SVFCs的细胞组成可对其能力产生影响。因此，我们比较了采用不同方法从抽吸脂肪中获得的SVFCs的细胞组成和数量，包括离心、涡旋和胶原酶消化。方法采用真空负压抽吸法，从9例成年人皮下脂肪组织获取脂肪，年龄21～55岁，平均BMI为28。分别采用高速离心，离心后涡旋分离3min和酶消化法分离SVFCs。红细胞裂解后，对SVFCs进行细胞计数、增殖能力检测和流式细胞术检测。计量ADMSCs（CIM5-CD73＋CD90＋）、内皮细胞（CD45-CD31＋）和单核细胞／巨噬细胞的相对百分比。结果酶消化法获得的SVFCs数量最高（2．3×10^5／ml抽吸脂肪），高速离心法获得的SVFCs数量为其1／10，涡旋分离法获得的SVFCs数量为其1／20。3种方法获得的细胞活性相似（80％～90％）。3种方法获得的SVFCs成分有很大差异。酶消化法获得的SVFCs中，造血源性细胞的比例（32％）少于机械分离法获得的SVFCs中造血源性细胞的比例（70％～85％）；酶消化法获得的ADMSCs数量（60％）多于机械分离法获得的ADMSCs数量（6％～13％）。另外，与机械分离法相比，酶消化法获得的SVFCs中，炎性单核细胞／巨噬细胞的数量较少，而内皮细胞数量较多。结论虽然3种分离方法均能获得再生细胞，但机械分离法获得的造血细胞和炎性细胞的数量较高，而ADMSCs和内皮细胞的数量较低，这可能会降低其在再生医学中应用的潜能。

虽然国际组织以及早期的文献都已经认识到可持续性报告对当今政府的重要性,但一些研究表明,这个问题没有得到人们充分的关注,因此需要进一步的研究。这篇文章对于地方政府有关可持续性问题的信息公布情况进行了研究,分析了不同的可持续性信息披露水平与社会经济、财政以及人口变量之间的关系。基于地方政府对互联网使用的增加,在本文方法论的应用上,我们选取了'全球报汇倡议'指南中的61个主题,对西班牙主要城镇和城市的55家网站进行分析。通过应用多重线性回归分析,我们研究了13个因素对这些市政当局所提供的可持续性报告的影响。研究结果表明,社会信息最易于被广泛传播,而且被抚养人口对可持续性信息的公开有正面的影响。可持续性实践水平的提高主要在于,通过可持续性报告的正式公布,以及加强各职能部门在信息发布方面的工作协调,来改善经济与环境信息的披露水平。
