Electron-deficient viologens are widely used as ligands or structure-directing agents(SDAs)to synthesize crystalline X-ray induced photochromic ***,a new rational strategy of anion-directed fold-ing a flexible cation(H_(2)imb)^(2+)((H_(2)imb)^(2+)=di-protonated 2,3-bis(imidazolin-2-yl)-2,3-dimethylbutane)has been ***-donating Cl−and(ZnCl4)2−are used to direct folding a flexible electron-deficient(H_(2)imb)^(2+)*** complexes(H_(2)imb)(NO_(3))2(1),(H_(2)imb)Cl2·H_(2)O(2),and(H_(2)imb)ZnCl4(3)have been synthesized in which(H_(2)imb)^(2+)crystallize in an anti-conformation,88.8°-gauche,and 51.8°-gauche,*** contrary to X-ray silent complex 1,X-ray induced photochromism has been achieved in both complex 2 and *** intermolecular charge-transfer mechanism has been elucidated and the anion directed folding of(H_(2)imb)^(2+)has been validated to be critical to yield colored long-lived charge-separated states.

Self-modeling(Sm)and self-control(SC)feedback can be presented as two solutions for learning ***,the aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of Sm and SC feedback on 100-m freestyle performance of professional swimmers and waterpolo players.25 elite male swimmers and waterpolo players,were randomly assigned to four groups:swimmer group with Sm,swimmer group with Sm and SC feedback,waterpolo players group with Sm,and waterpolo players group with Sm and SC feedback.100-m freestyle times and performance were *** and SC feedback for the participants were utilized at the acquisition *** device used included a Lenovo B570 laptop and an Exilim ZR200 canon *** and SC feedback presented to the swimmers and waterpolo players led to improved speed and results,and the effect of presenting Sm with SC feedback to swimmers had better *** conclusion,the present study indicates that SC modeling of watching video is a suitable method for professional *** polo trainers can also use Sm and SC feedback to enhance their players'swimming technique.

A biosynthetic gene cluster for the bioactive fungal sesterterpenoids variecolin(1)and variecolactone(2)was identified in Aspergillus aculeatus ATCC *** production of 1 and 2 was achieved in Aspergillus oryzae by expressing the sesterterpene synthase VrcA and the cytochrome P450 ***,the replacement of VrcB with homologous P450s from other fungal terpenoid pathways yielded three new variecolin analogues(5-7).Analysis of the compounds’anticancer activity in vitro and in vivo revealed that although 5 and 1 had comparable activities,5 was associated with significantly reduced toxic side effects in cancer-bearing mice,indicating its potentially broader therapeutic *** study describes the first tests of variecolin and its analogues in animals and demonstrates the utility of synthetic biology for creating molecules with improved biological activities.

Optically targeted electrochemical cell microscopy(OTECCm)was applied to measure electrocatalytic rates at individual Cu nanoparticles(NPs)under electrolyte conditions relevant to CO_(2) *** electrocatalytic responses from individual NPs were found to exhibit a wide variation in behavior,with significant NP-to-NP variations in the magnitude of electrocata-lytic currents and necessary overpotentials being *** of these quantities with metrics of NP size suggest no significant variations in the inherent electrocatalytic activity of the NPs with *** element simulations of diffusion in this system demonstrate the observed diffusion-limited currents are significantly smaller than expected,attributable to the presence of a significant amount of residual ligand on the surface of the Cu NPs,which were prepared via an organic phase *** results presented here further demonstrate the promise of techniques which employ correlated optical and electrochemical measurements,such as OTECCm,for studying electrocatalysis at individual NPs.

Song plays a fundamental role in intraspecific communication in *** temporal and structural components of songs can vary in different *** include urban habitats where anthropogenic sounds and alteration of habitat structure can significantly affect songbird vocal ***-rural variations in song complexity,song length and syllable rate are not fully *** this study,using the oriental magpie-robin(Copsychus saularis)as a model,we investigated urban-rural variation in song complexity,song length,syllable rate,syllable length and inter-syllable *** urban and rural songs from 7 countries across its natural Asiatic range(Bangladesh,India,malaysia,Nepal,Singapore,Sri Lanka and Thailand),we found no significant differences in oriental magpie-robin song ***,we found significant differences in temporal song variables between urban and rural *** songs and inter-syllable intervals in addition to slower syllable rates within urban sites contributed the most to this *** indicates that the urban environment may have driven production of longer and slower songs to maximize efficient transmission of important song information in urban habitats.

Abstract-An analytic method is proposed to compute the price-reserve offer curve at the consumer level in hierarchical direct load *** convexification of the consumer reserve provision is examined,and the analytic expression of the optimal solution within each critical region is ***,based on multi-parametric programming,a combinatorial enumeration method in conjunction with efficient reduction and pruning strategy is proposed to compute the optimal response of consumers in the whole price *** tests along with an application example in the bi-level aggregator pricing problem demonstrate the merit of this method.
