High sulphur loading and lean electrolyte conditions are important to achieve the high theoretical energy density of lithiumsulphur(Li-s)***,serious problems such as low sulphur utilization and fast capacity fade are typically experienced under low electrolyte/sulphur(E/s)ratios and high sulphur loading *** address these issues,a cobaltcontaining three-dimensional conductive honeycomb(Co@N-HPC)is proposed in this work as a material for sulphur *** good electrical conductivity and high density of catalytic sites of(Co@N-HPC)allow fast redox kinetics of lithium polysulfide(LiPs)in high-sulphur-loading *** addition,the hierarchical structure and good wettability by the electrolyte of Co@NHPC facilitates electrolyte penetration and LiPs conversion,leading to a high utilization of sulphur under lean electrolyte ***,at a current density of 0.2 C,a volumetric capacity of 1,410 mAh·cm^(−3)was attained with a sulphur loading of 5.1 mg·cm^(−2)and an E/s ratio of 5μL·mg^(−1).This work provides ideas for the development of lean electrolyte Li-s batteries with a high sulphur loading.

In a recent study published in Cancer Cell,Bagaev et *** a pan-cancer tumor microenvironment(TME)classification that can be predictive of response to immune checkpoint inhibitor(ICI)therapy.1 The authors presented a detailed visualization that can be generated for each tumor,which combines the 29 functional gene expression signatures(Fges)used to subtype the TME with targetable genomic *** the compartments and pathways within the TME could aid decision-making in patient-specific treatment of cancer,especially in the context of immunotherapies.2 The increasing use of ICIs have shown promising clinical outcomes in several cancer ***,response to treatment is heterogenous and often results in immune-related adverse events.3 Therefore,efforts are focused on the development of prognostic tools to predict response to *** analysis of 468 melanoma patients resulted in grouping of the TME into four major subsets based on manually curated Fges.

Newton＇s iteration is modified for the computation of the group inverses of singular Toeplitz matrices. At each iteration, the iteration matrix is approximated by a matrix with a low displacement rank. Because of the displacement structure of the iteration matrix, the matrix-vector multiplication involved in Newton＇s iteration can be done efficiently. We show that the convergence of the modified Newton iteration is still very fast. Numerical results are presented to demonstrate the fast convergence of the proposed method.

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) is a common health problem with a high mortality burden due to its liver- and vascular-specific complications. It is associated with obesity, high-fat diet as well as with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM) and metabolic syndrome(Mets).Impaired hepatic fatty acid(FA) turnover together with insulin resistance are key players in NAFLD pathogenesis. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors(PPARs)are involved in lipid and glucose metabolic *** novel concept is that the activation of the PPARαsubunit may protect from liver steatosis. Fenofibrate, by activating PPARα, effectively improves the atherogenic lipid profile associated with T2DM and Mets. Experimental evidence suggested various protective effects of the drug against liver steatosis. Namely, fenofibraterelated PPARα activation may enhance the expression of genes promoting hepatic FA β-oxidation. Furthermore, fenofibrate reduces hepatic insulin resistance. It also inhibits the expression of inflammatory mediators involved in non-alcoholic steatohepatitis *** include tumor necrosis factor-α, intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1, vascular cell adhesion molecule-1and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1. Consequently, fenofibrate can limit hepatic macrophage infiltration. Other liver-protective effects include decreased oxidative stress and improved liver microvasculature function. Experimental studies showed that fenofibrate can limit liver steatosis associated with high-fat diet,T2DM and obesity-related insulin resistance. Few studies showed that these benefits are also relevant even in the clinical setting. However, these have certain limitations. Namely, these were uncontrolled, their sample size was small, fenofibrate was used as a part of multifactorial approach, while histological data were *** this context, there is a need for large prospective studies, including proper control groups and full assessment of liver histology.

This paper investigates the free vibration and transient response of interconnected structures including double curved beams and intermediate straight beams,which are all constructed from functionally graded porous(FGP) materials. The strain potential and kinetic energies of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is introduced to derive stiffness and mass matrices, along with the force vector. The curved and straight beams are discretized, and their assembled stiffness, mass matrices, and force vectors, are *** conditions at the joints are used to derive the total matrices of the entire structure. subsequently, the natural frequencies and transient response of the system are determined. The accuracy of the mathematical model and the self-developed computer program is validated through the comparison of the obtained results with those of the existing literature and commercial software ANsYs, demonstrating excellent ***, a comprehensive study is conducted to investigate the effects of various parameters on the free vibration and transient response of the considered structure.

Cytomegalovirus(CMV)infection of the gastrointestinal (GI)tract has been reported in both immunocompetent and,more frequently,in immunocompromised *** describe a case of a 19-year-old male who developed CMV infection of the terminal ileum while receiving immunosuppression for lupus nephritis. This was a distinctly unusual site of infection which clinically mimicked Crohn's *** note that reports of terminal ileal CMV infection have been infrequent. Despite a complicated hospital course,ganciclovir therapy was effective in resolving his symptoms and normalizing his ileal *** report highlights the importance of accurate histological diagnosis and clinical follow-up of lupus patients with GI symptoms undergoing intense immunosuppression.

Histone ubiquitylation has emerged as an important chromatin modification associated with DNA damage signaling and repair *** histone marks,laid down by E3 ubiquitin ligases that include RNF8 and RNF168,decorate chromatin domains surrounding DNA double-strand breaks(DsBs).Recent work implicated ubiquitylated histones in orchestrating cell cycle checkpoints,DNA repair and gene *** we summarize recent advances that contribute to our current knowledge of the highly dynamic nature of DsB-associated histone ubiquitylation,and discuss major challenges ahead in understanding the versatility of ubiquitin conjugation in maintaining genome stability.

swarming,as a special form of mating aggregation,is most noteworthy in insects of the orders Ephemeroptera,Diptera,and *** in extant trichopterans is well understood in terms of sex composition,specific mating behaviors,and functional morphological specializations of adults,but an exploration of the evolution of such aggregative behaviors is hampered by the dearth of available examples from the fossil record as well as the ability to reliably distinguish the few gatherings as the result of swarming relative to other taphonomic or behavioral *** we describe five new fossil species of caddisflies preserved in mid-Cretaceous amber from Myanmar,all preserved as large *** aggregations of these five new species can be positively identified as swarms based on morphological traits of wing shape,as well as the presence of particular forms of sexual *** of a phylogenetic reconstruction of both molecular and morphological data as well as ancestral-trait reconstructions and tip-dating analyses indicate that swarming was likely present in the Triassic as a feature of the trichopteran *** most Mesozoic insectivorous predators were diurnal based on morphological evidence,largely nocturnal caddisflies would have been freed from such *** phylogeny also shows a correlation between the rise of nocturnal bat predators from the Paleocene or early Eocene and the repeated loss of swarming from various clades of caddisflies,revealing the potential impact of bat predation on reshaping the behavioral landscape of Trichoptera during the Cenozoic.

The last few years important changes have occurred in the field of diabetes *** priority in the therapy of patients with diabetes is not glycemic control per se rather an overall management of risk factors,while individualization of glycemic target is ***,regulatory authorities now require evidence of cardiovascular(CV)safety in order to approve new antidiabetic *** most novel drug classes,i.e.,sodium-glucose transporter 2 inhibitors(sGLT2-i)and some glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonists(GLP-1 RA),have been demonstrated to reduce major adverse CV events and,thus,have a prominent position in the therapeutic algorithm of *** this context,the role of previously used hypoglycemic agents,including dipeptidyl peptidase 4(DPP-4)inhibitors,has been ***-4 inhibitors have a favorable safety profile,do not cause hypoglycemia or weight gain and do not require dose ***,they can be administered in patients with chronic kidney disease after dose modification and elderly patients with ***,though,they have been undermined to a third line therapeutic choice as they have not been shown to reduce CV events as is the case with sGLT2-i and GLP-1 ***,DPP-4 inhibitors appear to have a place in the management of patients with diabetes as a safe class of oral glucose lowering agents with great experience in their use.
