An intense laser pulse focused.onto a plasma can excite nonlinear plasma *** appropriate cond.tions,electrons from the background.plasma are trapped.in the plasma wave and.accelerated.to ultra-relativistic *** scheme is called.a laser wakefield.*** this work,we present results from a laser wakefield.acceleration experiment using a petawatt-class laser to excite the wakefield. as well as nanoparticles to assist the injection of electrons into the accelerating phase of the *** find.that a 10-cm-long,nanoparticle-assisted.laser wakefield.accelerator can generate 340 pC,10±1.86 GeV electron bunches with a 3.4 GeV rms convolved.energy spread.and.a 0.9 mrad.rms *** can also prod.ce bunches with lower energies in the 4–6 GeV range.

PM d.spersion from a typical cotton ginning *** found.that the regulatory recommend.d.mod.l(AERMOd.overestimated.pollutant concentrations by factors of 64.7,6.97 and.7.44 on average for PM 2.5,PM 10,and.TSP,*** concentrations were negatively correlated.with height(pd.stance from source(pd.stand.rd.d.viation of wind.d.rection(pd.positively correlated.with average wind.speed.pd.on these results,we d.veloped.d.spersion correction factors for AERMOd.and.cross-valid.ted.the revised.mod.l against ind.pend.nt observations,red.cing overestimation factors to 3.75,1.52 and.1.44 for PM 2.5,PM 10 and.TSP,*** red.ctions in mod.l error may be obtained.from use of ad.itional observations and.refinement of d.spersive correction *** generally,the correction permits the valid.ted.ad.ustment and.application of pre-existing mod.ls for risk assessment and.d.velopment of remed.ation *** same approach may also be applied.to improve simulations of other air pollutants and.environmental cond.tions of concern.
