Analyses and assessments of hazards occurring in work processes are carried out by teams,in which there is usually one representative of the personnel,as the embodiment of the active participation of employees in the assessment of occupational *** is why the article presents research on all employees’knowledge and awareness about risks in their work *** research was carried out in the form of an employee survey in one of the open-pit mines,at workstations dealing with the loading and transporting of excavated *** survey included a list of 40 hazards divided into four groups:(1)hazards related to machines and equipment used,(2)hazards related to exposure,(3)hazards with an impact extending beyond the workstation and(4)hazards of an ergonomic nuisance nature,where employees were required to indicate which hazards apply to their workplaces and determine their level of signifcance,probability of occurrence and the scale of possible *** this way,a hierarchical identifcation of threats occurring at the analyzed workplaces was made,and the obtained results were used to determine the amount of occupational risk both for specifc workstations and for the whole technological *** measures of the magnitude of occupational risk obtained using the proposed method have showed that,according to the respondents,greatest risks at the workstation are associated with moving machines and vehicles and with mobile *** important risks,which were often mentioned by employees,were those directly related to their health,i.e.,related to ergonomic nuisance and *** resulting from geological and mining conditions,considered typical for mining,were important for the surveyed miners but they were not the most important owing to proper prevention,good organization of work and high safety culture The active involvement of the crew in the process of assessing occupational hazards allowed to identify the signifcance of each hazard,in t

Although many causes of Alzheimer’s disease(AD)may exist,both the original amyloid cascade and tau hypotheses posit that abnormal misfolding and accumulation of amyloid-β(Aβ)and tau protein is the central event causing the ***,that conclusion could be only partly true,and there is conflicting evidence about the role of both proteins in AD,being able to precede and influence one *** researchers argue that these proteins are mere executors rather than primary causes of ***,there have been continuing refinements of both hypotheses,with alternative explanations proposed.Aβand tau proteins may be independently involved in specific neurotoxic pathways;yet there may be other crucial processes going on in early ***,accumulating evidence suggests that Aβand tau act synergistically,rather than additively in disease onset(Jeremic et al.,2021,2023a).

Peripheral nerve injuries induce a severe motor and sensory deficit. Since the availability of autologous nerve transplants for nerve repair is very limited, alternative treatment strategies are sought, including the use of tubular nerve guidance conduits(tNGCs). However, the use of tNGCs results in poor functional recovery and central necrosis of the regenerating tissue, which limits their application to short nerve lesion defects(typically shorter than 3 cm). Given the importance of vascularization in nerve regeneration, we hypothesized that enabling the growth of blood vessels from the surrounding tissue into the regenerating nerve within the tNGC would help eliminate necrotic processes and lead to improved regeneration. In this study, we reported the application of macroscopic holes into the tubular walls of silk-based tNGCs and compared the various features of these improved silk^(+) tNGCs with the tubes without holes(silk^(–) tNGCs) and autologous nerve transplants in an 8-mm sciatic nerve defect in rats. Using a combination of micro-computed tomography and histological analyses, we were able to prove that the use of silk^(+) tNGCs induced the growth of blood vessels from the adjacent tissue to the intraluminal neovascular formation. A significantly higher number of blood vessels in the silk^(+) group was found compared with autologous nerve transplants and silk^(–), accompanied by improved axon regeneration at the distal coaptation point compared with the silk^(–) tNGCs at 7 weeks postoperatively. In the 15-mm(critical size) sciatic nerve defect model, we again observed a distinct ingrowth of blood vessels through the tubular walls of silk^(+) tNGCs, but without improved functional recovery at 12 weeks postoperatively. Our data proves that macroporous tNGCs increase the vascular supply of regenerating nerves and facilitate improved axonal regeneration in a short-defect model but not in a critical-size defect model. Two Upper Devonian to lower Carboniferous sections,namely the Bulongguoer and Haer(Gennaren area)in the Junggar Basin,Central Asian Orogenic Belt,in northwestern China were examined with regard to ichnology and *** deposits of the Hongguleleng Formation and Namu Member of the Heishantou Formation,respectively,are mostly unbioturbated or poorly bioturbated,with poorly diversified trace fossils,which indicate unfavourable conditions for the burrowing benthic community during the late Devonian and Early *** main factor governing the growth of the bioturbating population was the rapid sedimentation of fine-grained,volcanic material documented as tempestites,which buried the benthic *** the Bulongguoer section,the presence of miospores Teichertospora torquata and Grandispora gracilis enabled identification of the broad Teichertospora torquata–Grandispora gracilis Miospore Zone from the transitional Frasnian/Famennian *** accurate identification of palynostratigraphical levels(DE and CZ Miospore zones)is only *** the basis of palynofacies analysis,samples from the lower Bulongguoer section indicate deposition in more proximal conditions,whereas samples from the top of the section indicate deposition in a more distal *** the Haer section,only a general biostratigraphic indication for the Tournaisian was possible,owing to poor preservation of organic matter.
