Establishment and validation of an adherence prediction system for lifestyle interventions in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

BACKgROUND Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is the most common liver disease worldwide,affecting about 1/4th of the global population and causing a huge global economic *** date,no drugs have been approved for the treatment of NAFLD,making the correction of unhealthy lifestyles the principle method of *** patients with poor adherence to lifestyle correction and attempting to improve their adherence are therefore very *** To develop and validate a scale that can rapidly assess the adherence of patients with NAFLD to lifestyle *** The Exercise and Diet Adherence Scale(EDAS)was designed based on com-pilation using the Delphi method,and its reliability was subsequently *** and laboratory indicators were measured,and patients completed the EDAS questionnaire at baseline and after 6 *** efficacy of the EDAS was evaluated in the initial ***,the efficacy of the EDAS was internally verified in a validation *** The EDAS consisted of 33 items in six dimensions,with a total of 165 *** EDAS score correlated significantly with daily number of exercise and daily reduction in calorie intake(Pght loss.A total score of 116 was excellent in predicting adherence to daily reduction in calorie intake(>500 kacl/d),(sensitivity/specificity was 100.0%/75.8%),while patients score below 97 could nearly rule out the possibility of daily exercise(sensitivity/specificity was 89.5%/44.4%).Total EDAS scores≥116,97-115,andgood,average,and poor adherence,respectively,to diet and exercise *** The EDAS can reliably assess the adherence of patients with NAFLD to lifestyle interventions and have clinical application in this population.

Lake microbiome composition determines community adaptability to warmi.g perturbations

Background microbial communities are crucial for ecosystems. A central goal of microbial ecological research is to simplify the biodiversity in natural environments and quantify the functional roles to explore how the ecosystems respond under different environmental conditions. However, the research on the stability and dynamics of lake microbes in response to repeated warmi.g stress is *** To exclude confounding environmental factors, we conducted a 20-day repeated warmi.g simulation experiment to examine the composition and function dynamics of lake microbial *** Experimental warmi.g significantly altered the community structure of bacteria instead of fungi. microbial community structure, together with microbial biomass, jointly regulated the function of microbial communities. The plummeting of aerobic denitrifiers Pseudomonadaceae decreased by 99%(P gh temperature, leading to reduced microbial nitrogen metabolism on nitrogen respiration and nitrate respiration. Under warmi.g conditions, the microbial community with higher adaptability showed more positive correlations and less competitive relationships in co-occurrence networks to acclimate to *** microbiome composition controlled carbon and nitrogen metabolism, thus determining lake microbial communities' adaptability to heat stress. Unsupervised Multi-Expert Learning Model for Underwater Image Enhancement

Underwater image enhancement aims to restore a clean appearance and thus improves the quality of underwater degraded *** methods feed the whole image directly into the model for ***,they ignored that the R,g and B channels of underwater degraded images present varied degrees of degradation,due to the selective absorption for the *** address this issue,we propose an unsupervised multi-expert learning model by considering the enhancement of each color ***,an unsupervised architecture based on generative adversarial network is employed to alleviate the need for paired underwater *** on this,we design a generator,including a multi-expert encoder,a feature fusion module and a feature fusion-guided decoder,to generate the clear underwater ***,a multi-expert discriminator is proposed to verify the authenticity of the R,g and B channels,*** addition,content perceptual loss and edge loss are introduced into the loss function to further improve the content and details of the enhanced *** experiments on public datasets demonstrate that our method achieves more pleasing results in vision *** metrics(PSNR,SSIM,UIQM and UCIQE) evaluated on our enhanced images have been improved obviously.

Transition metal phosphides with metallic properties are a promising candidate for electrocatalytic water oxidation,and developing highly active and stable metal phosphide-based oxygen evolution reaction catalysts is still ***,we present a facile ion exchange and phosphating processes to transform intestine-like CoNiPx@P,N-C into lotus pod-like CoNiFePx@P,N-C heterostructure in which numerous P,N-codoped carboncoated CoNiFePxnanoparticles tightly anchors on the 2D carbon ***,the as-prepared CoNiFePx@P,N-C enables a core-shell structure,high specific surface area,and hierarchical pore structure,which present abundant heterointerfaces and fully exposed active ***,the incorporation of Fe can also induce electron transfer in CoNiPx@P,IM-C,thereby promoting the oxygen evolution ***,CoNiFePx@P,IM-C delivers a low overpotential of 278 mV （vs RHE） at a current density of10 mA cm-1and inherits excellent long-term stability with no observable current density decay after 30 h of chronoamperometry *** work not only highlights heteroatom induction to tune the electronic structure but also provides a facile approach for developing advanced and stable oxygen evolution reaction electrocatalysts with abundant heterointerfaces.

Achieving single-cell-resolution lineage tracing in zebrafish by continuous barcoding mutations during embryogenesis

Unraveling the lineage relationships of all descendants from a zygote is fundamental to advancing our understanding of developmental and stem cell ***,existing cell barcoding technologies in zebrafish lack the resolution to capture the majority of cell divisions during embryogenesis.A recently developed method,a substitution mutation-aided lineage-tracing system(SMALT),successfully reconstructed high-resolution cell phylogenetic trees for Drosophila ***,we implement the SMALT system in zebrafish,recording a median of 14 substitution mutations on a one-kilobase-pair barcoding sequence for one-day post-fertilization *** this system,we reconstruct four cell lineage trees for zebrafish fin cells,encompassing both original and regenerated *** tree consists of hundreds of internal nodes with a median bootstrap support of 99%.Analysis of the obtained cell lineage trees reveals that regenerated fin cells mainly originate from cells in the same part of the *** multiple times sampling germ cells from the same individual,we show the stability of the germ cell pool and the early separation of germ cell and somatic cell *** system offers the potential for reconstructing high-quality cell phylogenies across diverse tissues,providing valuable insights into development and disease in zebrafish.

Direct-acting antivirals failed to reduce the incidence of hepatocellular carcinoma occurrence in hepatitis C virus associated cirrhosis: A real-world study

BACKgROUND Direct-acting antivirals(DAAs)revolutionized the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus(HCV)-associated disease achieving high rates of sustained virological response(SVR).However,whether DAAs can reduce the occurrence of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)in patients with HCV-associated cirrhosis who are at high risk have not been *** To investigate the effect of DAAs on the occurrence of HCC in patients with HCVassociated cirrhosis after achieving *** Of 427 inpatients with HCV-associated cirrhosis were enrolled in Tianjin Second People's Hospital from January 2014 to April 2020.118 patients weren’t received antiviral treatment with any reasons named non-antiviral treatment group,and 236 patients obtained from the 309 DAAs treatment patients according to the propensity score matching named DAAs treatment *** information and laboratory data were collected from baseline and the following ***-Meier curve and Log-Rank test were used to compare the incidence and cumulative incidence of HCC between the two *** proportional risk regression was used to re-evaluate the risk factors for *** HCC incidence was 4.68/100PY(95%CI,3.09-6.81)in the DAAs treatment group,while it was 3.00/100PY(95%CI,1.50-5.37)in the non-antiviral treatment group,and the relative risk was 1.82(95%CI,0.93-3.53,P>0.05).The incidence of HCC at 12,24,36 and 48 months was 3.39%,6.36%,8.47%and 10.17%in the DAAs treatment group,and it was 0%,0%,3.39%and 9.32%in the non-antiviral treatment group,***>58[hazard ratio(HR)=1.089;95%CI,1.033-1.147;P=0.002]and liver stiffness measurement>27.85 kPa(HR=1.043;95%CI,1.022-1.065;P=0.000)were risk factors for HCC in all patients(n=427),and DAAs treatment didn’t show protective *** DAAs treatment seems failed to reduce the incidence of HCC occurrence in HCV-associated cirrhosis in 48 months,and even increased the incidence of HCC in 36 months.

Rare earth co-doped phosphor for fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR) thermometer has gained increasing attention in recent years. Herein, the novel Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+)co-doped K_(3)SrBi(P_(2)O_(7))_(2)(KSBP) phosphate phosphors were reported. The crystal structure of the title phosphor was determined using Rietveld refinement and proved to have a three-dimensional structure. The time-resolved spectroscopy reveals that there is almost no energy transfer between Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+). More importantly, Tb^(3+)and Eu^(3+)emissions show different thermal quenching behaviors, which claims the potential of this material for application in optical thermometer. The FIR of the typical KSBP:0.02Tb^(3+),0.04Eu^(3+)sample demonstrates a polynomial relationship as a function of temperature and the absolute and relative sensitivity are0.025 K^(-1) and 0.59%/K, respectively. In general, our study reports a novel and potential KSBP:Tb^(3+),Eu^(3+)phosphate phosphor that is promising for use in high-sensitive FIR thermometers.

Multicolor circularly polarized phosphorescence of axially chiral binuclear platinum(Ⅱ) complexes

D-A charge transfer, including through-bond charge transfer and through-space charge transfer between two different electron donors（D） and electron acceptors（A）, is a fundamental and powerful tool to tune the optical properties of organic dyes. Herein,we demonstrate a unique strategy to tune phosphorescence and circularly polarized luminescence properties of axially chiral binuclear Pt（Ⅱ） complexes through long-range charge transfer, even though these molecules have two totally identical segments on either side of the chiral core. The presence of axial chirality would break not only the symmetry of molecular structure and π-conjugation system but also the symmetry of charge distribution for long-range charge transfer. These binaphthyl-based Pt（Ⅱ）complexes bearing coordinated atoms far away from chiral axis exhibit no Pt-Pt interactions but colorful concentrationdependent phosphorescence with quantum yield up to 86.4% and could be applied as emitters in highly efficient solutionprocessed organic light-emitting diodes to achieve luminance, luminance efficiency, power efficiency, external quantum efficiency, and asymmetry factor up to 8.94 × 10～3cd m-2, 41.9 cd A-1, 18.8 lm W-1, 12.6% and 2.98 × 10-3, respectively. Therefore,the present work affords a new and simple way to utilize the inherently asymmetric advantage of chirality for the design of D-Abased organic dyes.
