Lignocellulosic biomass is one of the viable solutions to alleviate the global warming. However, the limited utilization of biomass majorly focused on cellulose and hemicellulose restricts the economic and environmental feasibilities. To cope with this issue, we proposed an integrated process of co-producing 1,6-hexanediol（1,6-HDO） with tetrahydrofuran and adipic acid from biomass, referred to as Strategy A. To compare the impacts of lignin upgrading and feedstock, Strategy B, which co-produces tetrahydrofuran alone, and Strategy C, which is the traditional route to produce 1,6-HDO from fossil fuels, were used. Heat networks are also designed to reduce operating costs and indirect carbon emissions due to energy consumption, saving 87% and 83% of the heat and cooling requirements, respectively, in Strategy A. The market competitiveness of Strategy A was evaluated by determining the minimum selling price through techno-economic analysis, and sustainability was thoroughly investigated by quantifying the environmental impacts through both midpoint and endpoint life-cycle assessments（LCAs）.Strategy A was found to be the most favorable both economically（USRDSCHARDOLLAR3,402/ton） and environmentally（-26.9 kg CO2eq.）. This indicates that lignin valorization is not only economically but also environmentally preferred. Finally, changes in economic and environmental feasibilities depending on economic, process, and environmental parameters were investigated using sensitivity and uncertainty analyses. The results of these analyses provide valuable insight into bio-based chemical production.

Objective： TO determine whether jaw-tapping movement, a classically described as an indication of personal well-being and mental health, stimulates the memory and the cognitive regions of the brain and is associated with improved brain performance. Methods： Twelve healthy right-handed female subjects completed the study. Each patient performed a jaw-tapping task and an n-back task during functional magnetic resonance imaging （fMRI）. The subjects were trained to carry out the jaw-tapping movement at home twice a day for 4 weeks. The fMRI was repeated when they returned. Results： During the first and second jaw-tapping session, both sides of precentral gyrus and the right middle frontal gyrus （BA 6） were activated. And during the second session of the jaw-tapping task, parts of frontal lobe and temporal lobe related to memory function were more activated. In addition, the total percent task accuracy in n-beck task significantly increased after 4 weeks of jaw- tapping movement. After jaw-tapping training for 4 weeks, brain areas related to memory showed significantly increased blood oxygen level dependent signals. Conclusion： Jaw-tapping movement might be a useful exercise for stimulating the memory and cognitive regions of the brain.

This study dealt with the electrostrictive responses of polyurethane （PU） actuators with different microphase separation structure, which was a promising candidate for a material used in polymer actuators. In order to construct PUs with different higher-order structure, PUs with various types of polyol were synthesized： poly（neopentyl glycol adipate）（PnaD）, poly（tetramethylene glycol）（PTMG）, and poly（dimethyl siloxnae）（PDMS）. Synthesized PU was characterized by Fourier transform-infrared （FT-IR） spectroscopy and gel per- meation chromatography （GPC）. Thermal analysis and mechanical properties of PU films were carried out with differential scanning calorimetry （DSC） and UTM （universal testing machine）, respectively. And PU actuator was formed in a type of monomorph, which was made by carbon black electrodes on the both surfaces of PU film by spin coating method. Actuation behavior was mainly influenced on microphase separation struc- ture and mechanical property of PU. In result, PU actuator with PnaD, polyester urethane, had the largest field-induced displacement.

Although high-entropy alloys(HEAs)are attracting interest,the physical metallurgical mechanisms related to their properties have mostly not been clarified,and this limits wider industrial applications,in addition to the high alloy *** clarify the physical metallurgical reasons for the materials phenomena(sluggish diffusion and micro-twining at cryogenic temperatures)and investigate the effect of individual elements on solid solution hardening for the equiatomic CoCrFeMnNi HEA based on atomistic simulations(Monte Carlo,molecular dynamics and molecular statics).A significant number of stable vacant lattice sites with high migration energy barriers exists and is thought to cause the sluggish *** predict that the hexagonal close-packed(hcp)structure is more stable than the face-centered cubic(fcc)structure at 0 K,which we propose as the fundamental reason for the micro-twinning at cryogenic *** alloying effect on the critical resolved shear stress(CRSS)is well predicted by the atomistic simulation,used for a design of non-equiatomic fcc HEAs with improved strength,and is experimentally *** study demonstrates the applicability of the proposed atomistic approach combined with a thermodynamic calculation technique to a computational design of advanced HEAs.

Objective:To investigate the anti-inflammatory effects of Sanguisorbae Radix on contact dermatitis(CD).Methods:mice were sensitized by painting 30μL of 1-fluoro-2,4-dinitrofluorobenzene(DNFB)onto each ear for 3 *** days later,mice were challenged by painting with 50μL of DNFB onto the shaved dorsum every 2 *** Radix methanol extract(MESR)was applied onto the shaved dorsum every 2 *** effects of MESR on skin thickness,skin weights,histopathological changes,skin lesions and cytokine production in DNFB-induced CD mice were investigated,as well as its effects on body weights and spleen/body weight ***:Topical application of MESR effectively inhibited enlargement of skin thickness and weight(P<0.05).MESR treatment also inhibited hyperplasia,spongiosis and immune cell infiltration induced by DNFB in inflamed tissues and improved lesions on dorsum skin in CD ***,treatment with MESR suppressed the increase in the levels of tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α,P<0.01)and interferonγ(IFN-γ,P<0.05),***,MESR had no effect on body weight gain or spleen/body weight ***:These data suggest that MESR acts as an anti-inflammatory agent that decreases the production of TNF-α and IFN-γ,resulting in reductions of skin lesions and histopathological changes in inflamed skin tissues.

Post-translational modifications （PTMs） of transcription factors play a crucial role in regulating metabolic homeostasis. These modifications include phosphory- lation, methylation, acetylation, ubiqulUnation, SUMOy- lation, and O-GIcnacylation. Recent studies have shed light on the importance of lysine acetylation at nonhis- tone proteins including transcription factors. Acetyla- tion of transcription factors affects subcellular distribution, Dna affinity, stability, transcriptional activity, and current investigations are aiming to further expand our understanding of the role of lysine acetyla- tion of transcription factors. In this review, we summarize recent studies that provide new insights into the role of protein lysine-acetylation in the transcriptional regulation of metabolic homeostasis.
