AzoR is a homodimeric,flavin mononucleotide（FMN）-containing,NADH-dependent azoreductase from Escherichia *** this paper,we investigated the effect of the concentration of both AzoR and R59 G on the spectral behavior of the bound FMN using two-dimensional fluorescence correlation *** cross peaks（530,490） and（580,530） were observed from the dilution-induced 2D asynchronous correlation map of wt AzoR,while only one cross peak appeared at（600,530） for R59 C *** result indicated that the mutation at site 59 influenced the formation of dilution-induced *** specific activity of both AzoR and R59 G mutant was unaffected by dilution when the enzyme concentration is below 1 μmol/L,which suggested that no significant dissociation of FMN occurred at low ***,in order to explore the origin of these intermediates,we carried out a2 D correlation analysis using excitation wavelength-dependent fluorescence emission *** results showed that there coexisted two types of FMN that emitted fluorescence at 530 nm and 500 nm,*** together,these results suggested that the 2D method is a very powerful method to identify the heterogeneous distribution of the bound FMN in solution.

The electrochemical formation of Mg-Li alloys was investigated in a molten LiCl-KCl (58-42 mol%) eutectic melt at 723 K. The cyclic voltammogram. for a Mo electrode showed that the electroreduction of Li+ proceeds in a single step and the deposition potential of Li metal was -2.40 V (vs. Ag/AgCl). For Mg electrode, the electroreduction of Li+ takes place at less cathodic potential than that at the Mo electrode which was caused by the formation of Mg-Li alloys. Phase of the deposited Mg-Li alloys could be controlled by the electrolysis potential, and the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that alpha-Mg and beta-Li phases were obtained at -2.35 and -2.55 V, respectively. (c) 2007 mi Lin zhang. Published by Elsevier B.V. on behalf of Chinese Chemical Society. To understand the real experiences of patients with cancer-related fatigue and to promote quality of life,the researchers used computer searches of PubMed,EMbase,CINAHL,PsycINFO,Web of Science,and China National Knowledge Infrastructure,China Biology Medicine disc,Wanfang Data,China Science and Technology Journal Database for relevant qualitative studies from the inception to November 1,*** results showed that a total of 16 papers were included,and 57 outcomes were distilled into 9 categories,which were pooled into four integrated outcomes,such as somatic,psychological and social support and so *** is concluded that patients with cancer-related fatigue are not only in the midst of multidimensional,unspeakable somatic experiences,and complex psychological experiences,they are also hindered in coping with fatigue symptom and social ***,healthcare professionals should provide health interventions and psychological support to those patients whenever possible.

The electrochemical co-reduction of Ho(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)ions was investigated on Mo electrode in eutectic LiCl–KCl salts at temperature of 773 K using various electrochemical *** voltammogram(CV)and square wave voltammogram exhibit three reduction peaks corresponding to the reduction of Ho(Ⅲ)on pre-deposited Mg electrode,whose potentials are more positive than that of Ho on Mo electrode because of the formation of Mg-Ho intermetallic compounds by co-reduction of Ho(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)***,chronopotentiometry and open-circuit chronopotentiometry were used to explore the electrochemical formation of Mg–Ho ***–Ho alloys were produced by galvanostatic electrolysis at the current of 1.5 A for different electrolysis ***_(5)Mg_(24),HoMg_(2) and HoMg intermetallic compounds were acquired and characterized by X-ray diffraction(XRD)and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)coupled with energy-dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).The results indicate that Mg–Ho intermetallic compounds,Ho_(5)Mg_(24),HoMg_(2) and HoMg,could be prepared by molten salts electrolysis.

Volatile organic compounds(VOCs) are typical pollutants that affect air *** plasma is thought to be a potential method that can remove VOCs from flue *** this experiment,pulsed corona discharge plasma combined with a biological tower was carried out to remove the benzene series,and toluene was selected as the typical *** results indicated that the removal efficiency of toluene by pulsed corona plasma was slightly higher than that of direct current(DC) corona plasma,while its energy efficiency was much higher than DC corona *** the optimal experimental conditions of pulse voltage 8.5 kV,initial toluene concentration 1400 mg m^(-3),and toluene flow rate of 121h^(-1),the toluene removal efficiency reached 77.11% by the single method of pulsed corona discharge plasma,and the energy efficiency was up to 1.515 g/(kW·h) under the pulse voltage of 4.0 *** trickling biofilter was constructed by using the screened and domesticated Acinetobacter baumannii,and the highest toluene removal efficiency by the pulsed corona discharge plasma combined with the trickling biofilter rose up to 97.84%.Part of the toluene was degraded into CO_(2),H_(2)O,and some intermediate products such as o-diphenol under the influence of Acinetobacter *** the remaining waste gas passed through the discharge plasma reactor,the benzene ring structure could be directly destroyed by the collision between toluene and ***,O·,OH·,and some other oxidizing radicals generated by the discharge also join into the oxidative decomposition of toluene and its intermediate products,thereby further improving the removal efficiency of ***,the two-stage plasma-biofilter system not only showed a high toluene removal efficiency,but also had a good energy *** results of this study will provide theoretical support and technical reference for industrial VOC treatment.

Mounting evidence indicates that amyloid β protein（Aβ） exerts neurotoxicity by disrupting the blood-brain barrier（BBB） in Alzheimer＇s disease. Hyperoside has neuroprotective effects both in vitro and in vivo against Aβ. Our previous study found that hyperoside suppressed Aβ1-42-induced leakage of the BBB, however, the mechanism remains unclear. In this study, bEnd.3 cells were pretreated with 50, 200, or 500 μM hyperoside for 2 hours, and then exposed to Aβ1-42 for 24 hours. Cell viability was determined using 3-（4,5-dimethyl-2-thiazolyl）-2,5-diphenyl-2-H-tetrazolium bromide assay. Flow cytometry and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated d UTP nick-end labeling assay were used to analyze cell apoptosis. Western blot assay was carried out to analyze expression levels of Bax, Bcl-2, cytochrome c, caspase-3, caspse-8, caspase-9, caspase-12, occludin, claudin-5, zonula occludens-1, matrix metalloproteinase-2（MMP-2）, and MMP-9. Exposure to Aβ1-42 alone remarkably induced bEnd.3 cell apoptosis; increased ratios of cleaved caspase-9/caspase-9, Bax/Bcl-2, cleav ed caspase-8/caspase-8, and cleaved caspase-12/caspase-12; increased expression of cytochrome c and activity of caspase-3; diminished levels of zonula occludens-1, claudin-5, and occludin; and increased levels of MMP-2 and MMP-9. However, hyperoside pretreatment reversed these changes in a dose-dependent manner. Our findings confirm that hyperoside alleviates fibrillar Aβ1-42-induced BBB disruption, thus offering a feasible therapeutic application in Alzheimer＇s disease.

Hexagonal barium ferrite BaFe12O19 particles were prepared by sol-gel and coprecipitation methods, respectively. The composition of the so-obtained materials was investigated by means of XRD. By the sol-gel method, non-anticipated intermediate crystalline phases, such as γ-Fe2O3, α-Fe2O3, BaCO3, and BaFe2O4 etc., were formed with the delay of the formation of BaFe12O19. The formation of single phase BaFe12O19 required calcination at 850 oC for 4 h. On the other hand, using coprecipitation technique, amorphous hydroxide precursor was directly transferred into BaFe12O19 almost without the formation of intermediate crystalline phases. BaFe12O19 was prepared by calcining at 700 oC for 3 h. The results were confirmed by ESEM and VSM analyses. Based on the already reported results and the observed results in this study, it can be concluded that the coprecipitaion technique is easier to control than the sol-gel method for preparation of BaFe12O19 at a low temperature.

The oncoprotein SET is frequently overexpressed in many types of tumors and contributes to malignant initiation and progression through multiple mechanisms,including the hijacking of the tumor suppressors p53 and *** aberrant SET represents a promising strategy for cancer ***,the mechanism by which endogenous SET is regulated in cancer cells remains largely ***,we identified the tumor suppressor p53 as a key regulator that transcriptionally repressed the expression of SET in both normal and cancer *** addition,p53 stimulated PP2A phosphatase activity via p53-mediated transcriptional repression of SET,whereby SET-mediated inhibition of PP2A was ***,targeting the interaction between SET and PP2A catalytic subunit(PP2Ac)with FTY720 enhanced stress-induced p53 activation via PP2A-mediated dephosphorylation of p53 on threonine 55(Thr55).Therefore,our findings uncovered a previously unknown p53-SETPP2A regulatory feedback *** functionally potentiate this feedback loop,we designed a combined therapeutic strategy by simultaneously administrating a p53 activator and SET antagonist in cancer cells and observed a dramatic synergistic effect on tumor *** study reveals mechanistic insight into the regulation of the oncoprotein SET and raises a potential strategy for cancer therapy by stimulating the p53-SET-PP2A feedback loop.

Electrocatalytic CO2reduction(ECR) coupled with organic oxidation is a promising strategy to produce high value-added chemicals and improve energy efficiency. However, achieving the efficient redox coupling reaction is still challenging due to the lack of suitable electrocatalysts. Herein, we designed two bifunctional polyimides-linked covalent organic frameworks(PI-COFs) through assembling phthalocyanine(Pc) and porphyrin(Por) by non-toxic hydrothermal methods in pure water to realize the above catalytic *** to the high conductivity and well-defined active sites with different chemical environments, Ni Pc-Ni Por COF performs efficient ECR coupled with methanol oxidation reaction(MOR)(Faradaic efficiency of CO(FECO) = 98.12%, partial current densities of CO(j CO) = 6.14 m A cm-2for ECR, FEHCOOH = 93.75%,j HCOOH = 5.81 m A cm-2for MOR at low cell voltage(2.1 V) and remarkable long-term stability).Furthermore, experimental evidences and density functional theory(DFT) calculations demonstrate that the ECR process mainly conducts on Ni Pc unit with the assistance of Ni Por, meanwhile, the MOR prefers Ni Por conjugating with Ni Pc. The two units of Ni Pc-Ni Por COF collaboratively promote the coupled oxidation-reduction reaction. For the first time, this work achieves the rational design of bifunctional COFs for coupled heterogeneous catalysis, which opens a new area for crystalline material catalysts.

Preparation of Mg-Li alloys by electrolysis in molten salt at low temperature

A new technology for preparation of low cost Mg-Li alloys was studied. The alloys were prepared by electrolysis in molten LiCl-KCl （weight ratio is 1：1） electrolyte with Mg rod severing as the consumed cathode. Main factors that affect current efficiency were investigated, and optimal electrolysis parameters were obtained. Mg-Li alloys with low lithium Content （about 25%） were prepared by the unique method of a higher post-thermal treatment temperature after electrolysis at low temperature. The results showed that the electrolysis can be carried out at low temperature, which resulted in reducing preparation cost due to energy saving. The new technology for the oreoaration of Mg-Li alloy by electrolysis in molten salt was laroved to be feasible.
