Core 1 synthase glycoprotein-N-acetylgalactosamine 3-β-galactosyltransferase 1(C1GALT1)is known to play a critical role in the development of gastric cancer,but few studies have elucidated associations between genetic variants in C1GALT1 and gastric cancer *** using the genome-wide association study data from the database of Genotype and Phenotype(dbGAP),we evaluated such associations with a multivariable logistic regression model and identified that the rs35999583 G>C in C1GALT1 was associated with gastric cancer risk(odds ratio,0.83;95% confidence interval[CI],0.75-0.92;P=3.95×10^(-4)).C1GALT1 mRNA expression levels were significantly higher in gastric tumor tissues than in normal tissues,and gastric cancer patients with higher C1GALT1 mRNA levels had worse overall survival rates(hazards ratio,1.33;95%CI,1.05-1.68;P_(log-rank)=1.90×10^(-2)).Furthermore,we found that C1GALT1 copy number differed in various immune cells and that C1GALT1 mRNA expression levels were positively correlated with the infiltrating levels of CD4^(+)T cells and *** results suggest that genetic variants of C1GALT1 may play an important role in gastric cancer risk and provide a new insight for C1GALT1 into a promising predictor of gastric cancer susceptibility and immune status.

Core 1 synthase glycoprotein-N-acetylgalactosamine 3-β-galactosyltransferase 1（C1GALT1） is known to play a critical role in the development of gastric cancer, but few studies have elucidated associations between genetic variants in C1GALT1 and gastric cancer risk. 本文依据灾害发展过程视角选取指标构建干旱灾害韧性评价体系,以熵权TOPSIS计算指标权重、构建评价模型;运用Kernel密度估计、ESDA、K-means聚类、障碍度模型等方法,定量分析2000—2022年陕西省县域干旱灾害韧性时空演变特征及其障碍因子。结果表明:①陕西省县域干旱灾害韧性整体与分项韧性呈阶段性上升趋势。②干旱灾害韧性呈现“中间高南北次之”的空间分布特征,大体呈现金字塔—橄榄型—倒梯形—倒金字塔的演变特征;呈现较为显著的空间集聚特征,H—H型分布在关中地区,L—L型分布在陕北地区;抵御—吸收—恢复三项韧性均较强的“综合型”区县逐渐增多。③恢复韧性是影响县域干旱灾害韧性的主要准则层障碍因子;政府防灾资金投入、农林牧副渔产值与人均可支配收入等分别对干旱灾害抵御韧性、吸收韧性和恢复韧性存在显著影响。

The present work aims to create lattice distortion and optimize the surface oxygen vacancy(OV)concentration in a model spinel(Co_(0.2)Cr_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)Ni_(0.2))_(3)O_(4)high-entropy oxide(HEO)through a heteroatom La^(3+)doping *** demonstrated,La^(3+)with a large radius can be doped successfully into the spinel lattice of(Co_(0.2)Cr_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)Ni_(0.2))_(3)O_(4),thereby not only causing lattice distortion to increase oxygen vacancies but also refining crystalline grains and improving the specific *** with the(Co_(0.2)Cr_(0.2)Fe_(0.2)Mn_(0.2)Ni_(0.2))_(3)O_(4)anode,the(La_(0.01)CoCrFeMnNi)_(3/5.01)O_(4) anode with moderate doping exhibits excellent cycling performance(1228 mAh·g^(−1)after 400 cycles at 0.2 A·g^(−1))and yields an increase of 75%rate capability at 3 A·g^(−1)(420 mAh·g^(−1)at 3 A·g^(−1)).The desirable kinetic transport of electrons and diffusion of Li+within the moderately La^(3+)-doped anode and the synergistic interfacial pseudocapacitive behavior satisfy the redox reaction at a high rate,thus increasing rate capability.

Aberrant alternative polyadenylation(APA)events play an important role in cancers,but little is known about whether APA-related genetic variants contribute to the susceptibility to bladder *** genome-wide association study performed APA quantitative trait loci(apaQTL)analyses in bladder cancer,and identified 17955 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs).We found that gene symbols of APA affected by apaQTL-associated SNPs were closely correlated with cancer signaling pathways,high mutational burden,and immune *** analysis showed that apaQTL-associated SNPs rs34402449 C>A,rs2683524 C>T,and rs11540872 C>G were significantly associated with susceptibility to bladder cancer(rs34402449:OR=1.355,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.159-1.583,P=1.33×10^(−4);rs2683524:OR=1.378,95%CI:1.164-1.632,P=2.03×10^(−4);rs11540872:OR=1.472,95%CI:1.193-1.815,P=3.06×10^(−4)).Cumulative effect analysis showed that the number of risk genotypes and smoking status were significantly associated with an increased risk of bladder cancer(P_(trend)=2.87×10^(−12)).We found that PRR13,being demonstrated the most significant effect on cell proliferation in bladder cancer cell lines,was more highly expressed in bladder cancer tissues than in adjacent normal ***,the rs2683524 T allele was correlated with shorter 3′untranslated regions of PRR13 and increased PRR13 expression ***,our findings have provided informative apaQTL resources and insights into the regulatory mechanisms linking apaQTL-associated variants to bladder cancer risk.

Stretchable polymer composites with ultrahigh piezoelectric performance

Flexible piezoelectric materials capable of withstanding large deformation play key roles in flexible electronics. Ferroelectric ceramics with a high piezoelectric coefficient are inherently brittle, whereas polar polymers exhibit a low piezoelectric coefficient. Here we report a highly stretchable/compressible piezoelectric composite composed of ferroelectric ceramic skeleton, elastomer matrix and relaxor ferroelectric-based hybrid at the ceramic/matrix interface as dielectric transition layers, exhibiting a giant piezoelectric coefficient of 250 picometers per volt, high electromechanical coupling factor keff of 65%,ultralow acoustic impedance of 3MRyl and high cyclic stability under 50% compression strain. The superior flexibility and piezoelectric properties are attributed to the electric polarization and mechanical load transfer paths formed by the ceramic skeleton, and dielectric mismatch mitigation between ceramic fillers and elastomer matrix by the dielectric transition layer. The synergistic fusion of ultrahigh piezoelectric properties and superior flexibility in these polymer composites is expected to drive emerging applications in flexible smart electronics.

Immunomodulatory potential of exopolysaccharides from Lactiplantibacillus plantarum YY-112

In vitro simulated colonic fermentation studies have shown the prebiotic potential of exopolysaccharides from Lactiplantibacillus plantarum YY-112 (YEPS). Its immunomodulatory effects and related mechanisms were systematically investigated in this study. We observed that YEPS intervene in immune responses and improve intestinal microbial structure in normal mice， including significantly increasing the relative abundance of Enterorhabdus and norank＿f＿＿norank＿o＿＿Clostridia UCG-014 as well as decreasing that of unclassified＿c＿＿Bacilli (P < 0.05). In the immunocompromised mouse model， YEPS decreased IL-6 levels (P < 0.05) and protected the spleen by regulating lymphocyte levels. YEPS preserved the intestinal barrier by improving Mucin 2， Zonula occludens protein 1， and Occludin expression. Moreover， YEPS significantly reduced the relative abundance of Bacillus， unclassified＿c＿＿Bacilli， Lachnoclostridium， Eubacterium＿xylanophilum＿group， and Desulfovibrio (P < 0.05)， potentially enhancing mice immunity by improving the intestinal microbiota associated with immune function. In conclusion， YEPS can be used as a natural functional extract with prebiotic effects that may improve host immunity. This provided the basis for the application of YEPS as a novel potential food additive.

Crystal-phase-controlled PtSn intermetallic nanowires for efficient methanol oxidation

Developing highly efficient Pt-based methanol oxidation reaction（MOR） catalysts is pivotal for direct methanol fuel cells. Phase engineering of nanomaterials offers a promising strategy to improve their catalytic performance, yet achieving phase modulation in one-dimensional nanowires（NWs） remains a great challenge. Herein, we report a facile and one-pot synthesis approach for the crystal-phase-controlled Pt-Sn intermetallic nanowires（NWs）, realizing the crystal-phases regulation of face-centered cubic Pt3Sn intermetallic NWs（FCC-Pt3Sn INTNWs） and hexagonal close-packed PtSn intermetallic NWs（HCP-PtSn INTNWs） by adjusting the amounts of Sn precursors. Notably, the FCC-Pt3Sn INTNWs exhibit high mass and specific activities of6.4 A mg-1Pt and 11.8 m A cm–2, respectively, surpassing its counterparts, the HCP-PtSn INTNWs and commercial Pt/C *** a 10,000 s durability test, the FCC-Pt3Sn INTNWs still maintain a mass activity of 5.6 A mg-1Pt, which is 24.3 times higher than that of commercial Pt/C catalyst. This dramatic enhancement of MOR performance is primarily attributed to the phasecontrolled structure and accelerated removal of CO intermediates（CO*）. Theoretical calculations and CO stripping experiments demonstrate that the FCC-Pt3Sn INTNWs lower the energy barrier for converting CO* into COOH* by reducing CO* binding and enhancing OH adsorption, thus significantly improving the MOR activity, CO tolerance, and stability.
