Based on numerous high-resolution seismic profiles,sediment waves and their distribution,morphological characteristics,internal structure,and potential origins were revealed in the eastern waters of *** sediment waves are located at the junction between the Taitung Canyon and other canyons in the *** wave length and the wave height of a single waveform ranged from 0.8 to 7.2 km and from 18 to 75 m,respectively(NE-SW direction).Sediment waves,located inside the bend of the Taitung Canyon,were characterized by an upward migration and showed mass transport deposits(MTDs)at the bottom,while the inner curve of the bend was subdivided into lower and upper wavy transition *** sediment waves on the outer curve of the bend were characterized by vertical accumulation,and there was no mass flow deposit at the *** to the geometry of the sediment waves,the calculated flow thicknesses across the entire wave field ranged from 196 to 356 m,and the current velocity ranged from 15 to 21 cm/*** morphological characteristics,the internal structure,and the distribution of sediment waves,as well as the numerical calculations,evidenced that these sediment waves had formed by turbidity *** development of the sediment wave field in eastern Taiwan was found to be similar to that in southwestern *** was the sedimentary response of the tectonic movement between 3 and^1 Ma which created the sedimentary systems where gravity flow processes *** current sediments settled in the place of less topographical constraints or overflowed in the bend section of the Taitung Canyon,which resulted in the formation of sediment wave fields.

Natural products, and especially the active ingredients found in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM), have a thousand-year-long history of clinical use and a strong theoretical basis in TCM. As such,traditional remedies provide shortcuts for the development of original new drugs in China, and increasing numbers of natural products are showing great therapeutic potential in various diseases. This paper reviews the molecular mechanisms of action of natural products from different sources used in the treatment of inflammatory diseases and cancer, introduces the methods and newly emerging technologies used to identify and validate the targets of natural active ingredients, enumerates the expansive list of TCM used to treat inflammatory diseases and cancer, and summarizes the patterns of action of emerging technologies such as single-cell multiomics, network pharmacology, and artificial intelligence in the pharmacological studies of natural products to provide insights for the development of innovative natural product-based drugs. Our hope is that we can make use of advances in target identification and singlecell multiomics to obtain a deeper understanding of actions of mechanisms of natural products that will allow innovation and revitalization of TCM and its swift industrialization and internationalization.

目的探究炎症性肠病患者恐惧疾病进展的潜在剖面类别,并分析不同类别的影响因素。方法采用便利抽样法,选取2022年7月—2023年7月在南京市某三级甲等医院住院的炎症性肠病患者作为调查对象。使用一般资料调查表、中文版恐惧疾病进展简化量表、中文版炎症性肠病自我效能量表和社会支持评定量表进行调查。对炎症性肠病患者恐惧疾病进展进行潜在剖面分析,并通过单因素分析和多元Logistic回归分析探讨其影响因素。结果共回收问卷310份,其中有效问卷303份,有效问卷回收率为97.74%。潜在剖面分析结果显示,炎症性肠病患者恐惧疾病进展分为“低恐惧风险-疾病适应组”(n=127,41.91%)、“中恐惧风险-疾病困扰组”(n=139,45.88%)、“高恐惧风险-功能失调组”(n=37,12.21%)3个潜在剖面类别。其影响因素包括居住地、自评经济压力水平、疾病分期、自我效能(P<0.05)。结论炎症性肠病患者恐惧疾病进展水平具有明显的异质性。护理人员应根据该分类特点制订个性化干预策略,着重提高患者的自我效能,提升其疾病、压力及情绪管理水平。

Sedimentary evolution and control factors of the Rizhao Canyons in the Zhongjiannan Basin, western South China Sea

Submarine canyon is an important channel for long-distance sediment transport, and an important part of deepwater sedimentary system. The large-scale Rizhao Canyons have been discovered for the first time in 2015 in the continental slope area of the western South China Sea. Based on the interpretation and analysis of multi-beam bathymetry and two-dimensional multi-channel seismic data, the geology of the canyons has however not been studied yet. In this paper, the morphology and distribution characteristics of the canyon are carefully described,the sedimentary filling structure and its evolution process of the canyon are analyzed, and then its controlling factors are discussed. The results show that Rizhao Canyons group is a large slope restricted canyon group composed of one east-west west main and nine branch canyons extending to the south. The canyon was formed from the late Miocene to the Quaternary. The east-west main canyon is located in the transition zone between the northern terrace and the southern Zhongjiannan Slope, and it is mainly formed by the scouring and erosion of the material source from the west, approximately along the slope direction. Its development and evolution is mainly controlled by sediment supply and topographic conditions, the development of 9 branch canyons is mainly controlled by gravity flow and collapse from the east-west main canyon. This understanding result is a supplement to the study of “source-channel–sink” sedimentary system in the west of the South China Sea, and has important guiding significance for the study of marine geological hazards.

Deep learning(DL)is currently revolutionizing peptide drug development due to both computational advances and the substantial recent expansion of digitized biological ***,progress in oligopeptide drug development has been limited,likely due to the lack of suitable datasets and difficulty in identifying informative features to use as inputs for DL ***,we utilized an unsupervised deep learning model to learn a semantic pattern based on the intrinsically disordered regions of~171 known osteogenic ***,oligopeptides were generated from this semantic pattern based on Monte Carlo simulation,followed by in vivo functional characterization.A five amino acid oligopeptide(AIB5P)had strong bone-formation-promoting effects,as determined in multiple mouse models(e.g.,osteoporosis,fracture,and osseointegration of implants).Mechanistically,we showed that AIB5P promotes osteogenesis by binding to the integrinα5 subunit and thereby activating FAK *** summary,we successfully established an oligopeptide discovery strategy based on a DL model and demonstrated its utility from cytological screening to animal experimental verification.

Cell division is precisely regulated and highly tissue-specific;studies have suggested that diverse signals in the epidermis,especially the epidermal brassinosteroids(BRs),can regulate root ***,the underlying molecular mechanisms that integrate hormonal cues such as BR signaling with other endogenous,tissue-specific developmental programs to regulate epidermal cell proliferation remain *** this study,we used molecular and biochemical approaches,microscopic imaging and genetic analysis to investigate the function and mechanisms of a P-type cyclin in root growth *** found that CYCP3;1,specifically expressed in the root meristem epidermis and lateral root cap,can regulate meristem cell *** analyses and biochemical studies demonstrated that CYCP3;1 promotes cell division at the G2-M duration by associating and activating cyclin-dependent kinase B2-1(CDKB2;i).Furthermore,we found that CYCP^;1 expression was inhibited by BR signaling through BRI1-EMS-SUPPRESSOR1(BES1),a positive downstream transcription factor in the BR signaling *** findings not only provide a mechanism of how root epidermal-specific regulators modulate root growth,but also reveal why the excess of BRs or enhanced BR signaling inhibits cell division in the meristem to negatively regulate root growth.
