Cyclic dinucleotides(CDNs)are natural agonists of the stimulator of interferon genes(STING),which is an attractive immunotherapy ***,CDNs and their derivatives are being investigated ***,the poor bioavailability of exogenous CDNs has limited their application in *** nanocarriers are widely used for cytosolic delivery of CDNs,their loading capacity is insufficient,and their complicated composition and purification process raises bio-compatibility ***,we report a super-simplified CDN self-assembly strategy for carrier-free delivery of *** the presence of excess K^(+),CDNs form oligomers which further self-assemble with divalent metal ions(such as Mn^(2+))to form nanoparticles(NPs)in aqueous *** demonstrate that the self-assembled CDN NPs promote cellular uptake of CDNs and enhance tumor immunogenicity by remodeling the tumor microenvironment,inducing immunogenic tumor cell death and increasing tumorinfiltrating lymphocytes,which is conducive to the generation of tumor neoantigen-specific T-cell *** also demonstrate that the use of CDN NPs alone or in combination with immune checkpoint blockades inhibits tumor growth,highlighting the fact that CDN NPs are a potent platform for cancer immunotherapy.

Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is a worldwide public health *** to delay or prevent the onset of RA have attracted much attention in recent years,and researchers are now exploring various prevention *** present,there is still no unified consensus for RA prevention,but targeting therapeutic windows and implementing interventions for at-risk individuals are extremely *** to the limited number of clinical trials on pharmacologic interventions,further studies are needed to explore and establish optimal intervention regimens and effective measures to prevent progression to *** this review,we introduce the RA disease process and risk factors,and present research on the use of both Western and Chinese medicine from clinical perspectives regarding RA ***,we describe several complete and ongoing clinical studies on the use of Chinese herbal formulae for the prevention of RA.

Pristine liNi0.5Mnl.5O4 and FePO4-coated one with Fd-3m space groups were prepared by a sol-gel method. The structure and performance were studied by X-ray diffraction （XRD） rietveld refinement, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, high resolution transmission electron microscopy （HRTEM）, energy dispersive spectrometer （EDS） mapping, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy （EIS） and charge- discharge tests, respectively. The lattice parameters of all samples almost remain the same from the Rietveld refinement, revealing that the crystallographic structure has no obvious difference between pris- tine liNi0.5Mn1.5O4 and FePO4-coated one. All materials show similar morphologies with uniform particle distribution with small particle size, and FePO4 coating does not affect the morphology of liNi0.5Mnl05O 4 material. EDS mapping and HRTEM show that FePO4 may be successfully wrapped around the surfaces of ***.s04 particles, and provides an effective coating layer between the electrolyte and the surface of liNi0.5Mn1.5O4 particles. FePO4 （1 wt%）-coated ***.504 cathode shows the highest discharge capac- ity at high rate （2 C） among all samples. After 80 cycles, the reversible discharge capacity of FePO4 （1 wt%） coated liNi0.5Mn0.5O4 is 117 mAh g^-1, but the pristine one only has 50 mAh g^-1. FeP04 coating is an effec- tive and controllable way to stabilize the liNi0.5Mn1.5O4/electrolyte interface, and avoids the direct con- tact between liNi0.5Mn1.5O4 powders and electrolyte, then suppresses the side reactions and enhances the electrochemical performance of the liNi0.5Mn1.5O4.

Alzheimer's disease(AD) is one of the most common types of dementia whose hallmarks include neurofibrillary tangles and senile plaques. The latter are mainly composed of amyloid-β proteins(Aβ), and it's suggested that Aβ may be the causative factor in AD pathogenesis. Immunotherapy targeting Aβ for preventing aggregation of Aβ and mildly clearing amyloid plaques has been a hot topic since 1999. Although the first clinical trial of Aβ vaccine, AN-1792, failed in phase II, its results suggested some key points in the design of Aβ vaccines. Avoiding the possible toxic Aβ specific T cell response and inducing a Th2 type cellular immune response may be beneficial for Aβ immunotherapy. Many associations and research groups are working on Aβ vaccine and some progress has been made in recent years. In this review, we have provided a detailed summary of past Aβ vaccines, which have been sorted by the immunogen, and we also discuss some recent progress and future perspectives.

In saline water flotation, the salinity can cause a distinguishable slime coating of clay minerals on chalcopyrite particles through its effect on their electrical double layers in aqueous solutions. In this work, kaolinite was used as a representative clay mineral for studying slime coating during chalcopyrite flotation. The flotation of chalcopyrite in the presence and absence of kaolinite in tap water, seawater, and gypsum-saturated water and the stability of chalcopyrite and kaolinite particles in slurries are presented. Zeta-potential distributions and scanning electron microscopy images were used to characterize and explain the different slime coating degrees and the different flotation performances. Kaolinite particles induced slime coating on chalcopyrite surfaces and reduced chalcopyrite floatability to the greatest extent when the p H value was in the alkaline range. At 0.24 wt% of kaolinite, the chalcopyrite floatability was depressed by more than 10% at alkaline p H levels in tap water. Salinity in seawater and gypsum-saturated water compressed the electrical double layers and resulted in extensive slime coating.

The spontaneous condensation of the amphiphilic N-（O,O-dihexadecyl）phosphorylalanine on the cast film was observed by in situ investigation of transmission infrared spectroscopy The particular orientation and ordered packing of the monomers within the multilayers of the cast film is concluded to attribute to the spontaneous condensation between the monomers.

Edge detection and mathematic fitting for corneal surface with Matlab software

AIM：To select the optimal edge detection methods to identify the corneal surface,and compare three fitting curve equations with Matlab software. METHODS：Fifteen subjects were recruited. The corneal images from optical coherence tomography（OCT）were imported into Matlab software. Five edge detection methods（Canny,Log,Prewitt,Roberts,Sobel）were used to identify the corneal surface. Then two manual identifying methods（ginput and getpts）were applied to identify the edge coordinates respectively. The differences among these methods were compared. Binomial curve（y=Ax2＋Bx＋C）,Polynomial curve [p（x）=p1xn＋p2x（n-1）＋....＋pnx＋pn＋1] and Conic section（Ax2＋Bxy＋Cy2＋Dx＋Ey＋F=0）were used for curve fitting the corneal surface respectively. The relative merits among three fitting curves were analyzed. Finally,the eccentricity（e）obtained by corneal topography and conic section were compared with paired t-test. RESULTS：Five edge detection algorithms all had continuous coordinates which indicated the edge of the corneal surface. The ordinates of manual identifying were close to the inside of the actual edges. Binomial curve was greatly affected by tilt angle. Polynomial curve was lack of geometrical properties and unstable. Conic section could calculate the tilted symmetry axis,eccentricity,circle center,etc. There were no significant differences between ＇e＇ values by corneal topography and conic section（t=0.9143,P=0.3760 〉0.05）.CONCLUSION：It is feasible to simulate the corneal surface with mathematical curve with Matlab software. Edge detection has better repeatability and higher efficiency. The manual identifying approach is an indispensable complement for detection. Polynomial and conic section are both the alternative methods for corneal curve fitting. Conic curve was the optimal choice based on the specific geometrical properties.
