The objective of this study is to utilize the pH sensitivity of modified silica nanoparticles (SNIL) by imidazole-based ionic liquid for oral delivery of insulin. In the first time, the imidazole was covalently attached to the 3-trimethoxysily-lpropyl chloride with replacement of all the chlorine atoms. Then, a silica nanoparticle was modified by N-(3-trimeth-oxysilylpropyl) imidazole. The nanocapsule (NCIL) was achieved after the etching of the modified silica nanoparticle template with hydrofluoric acid. The nanoparticles connected through an ionic liquid-like network were characterized by FTIR and SEM. Insulin was entrapped in these carriers and the in vitro release profiles were established separately in both enzyme-free simulated gastric and intestinal fluids (SGF, pH 1) and (SIF, pH 7.4), respectively. When these drug-loaded nanoparticles was placed in physiological buffer solution (pH 7.4), a partial negative surface charge on the modified silica nanoparticle was generated due to the deprotonation of silanol groups, and the strong electrostatic repulsion triggered a sustained release of the loaded molecules.

The first step in automatic supervision, condition monitoring and fault detection of photovoltaic system is recognition, exploration and classification of all possible faults that maybe happen in the system. This paper aims to perceive, classified, simulate and discus all electrical faults in DC side of photovoltaic system, regarding electrical voltage and current inspections. For that, simplified hybrid model of photovoltaic panel in MATLAB environment is used. Investigation and classification of each type of faults is down and the effects of the faults are illustrated in this paper. Flash test are applied to improved electrical model. Current-Voltage curves signature are interpreted and investigated in simulation environment.

好作文的特征之一就是作者能准确贴切地使用连接词来表达思想。然而,不少外语学习者会觉得真正恰当地使用连接词并不容易。尽管有关连接词本身的研究文献已经非常丰富,但是,对如何在英语写作中行之有效地给学生教授连接词的使用鲜有研究。本研究用术语学的方法就这一研究问题做一次探讨。笔者认为,现存的对连接词术语各种各样的称谓对英语学习尤其是写作教学极其不利。为了梳理澄清‘连接词’的核心内核,我们把已经出版并广泛使用的14本不同的语法书里所提到的16个和连贯相关的术语通过自建的语料库就其使用的质和量进行分析。我们也就学生对这些术语的熟练程度及使用情况通过查阅和核实他们的作文其进行了测评。基于对每个术语使用的情况的研究发现,我们勾勒出有视觉清晰感的术语网络图,以便说明不同术语的使用频率,也为课堂教师如何更加有效地教授连接词的使用提供了可供参考的教学资源。

Background: Central hepatectomy(CH) is more difficult than extended hepatectomy(EH) and is associated with greater morbidity. In this modern era of liver management with aims to prevent posthepatectomy liver failure(PHLF), there is a need to assess outcomes of CH as a parenchyma-sparing procedure for centrally located liver tumors. Methods: A total of 178 major liver resections performed by specialist surgeons from two Australian tertiary institutions between June 2009 and March 2017 were reviewed. Eleven patients had CH and 24 had EH over this study period. Indications and perioperative outcomes were compared between the groups. Results: The main indication for performing CH was colorectal liver metastases. There was no perioperative mortality in the CH group and four(16.7%) in the EH group( P = 0.285). No group differences were found in median operative time [CH vs. EH: 450 min(290–840) vs. 523 min(310–860), P = 0.328], intraoperative blood loss [850 mL(40 0–150 0) vs. 650 mL(10 0–20 0 0), P = 0.746] or patients requiring intraoperative blood transfusion [1(9.1%) vs. 7(30.4%), P = 0.227]. There was a trend towards fewer hepatectomyspecific complications in the CH group [3(27.3%) vs. 13(54.2%), P = 0.167], including PHLF(CH vs. EH: 0 vs. 29.2%, P = 0.072). Median length of stay was similar between groups [CH vs. EH: 9 days(5–23) vs. 12 days(4–85), P = 0.244]. Conclusions: CH has equivalent postoperative outcomes to EH. There is a trend towards fewer hepatectomy-specific complications, including PHLF. In appropriate patients, CH may be considered as a safe parenchyma-sparing alternative to EH.

To improve quality and quantity of apple fruits,this study conducted in factorial experiment in randomized complete block design with 6 *** showed that foliar application was applied only in the spring,the yield *** positive effect of foliar application in spring and fall on the yield increase was superior to the control,but highest yield was obtained in foliar application in the fall+*** spite of the increased yield through localized fertilization treatment and foliar application in the fall+spring no decrease was observed in fruit texture ***,the specific weight of fruits and the TSS/TA ratio were *** of the increased yield in fall+spring foliar application,the fruits diameter was *** results showed that in order to avoid alternation and to increase the yield,the foliar application of nutrients will be effective in the spring,fall or both,especially for low yield gardens.

Analysis of the expression of coxsackievirus and adenovirus receptor in five colon cancer cell lines

AIM: To investigate the expression of coxsackievirus and adenovirus receptor (CAR) and adenovirus-mediated reporter gene transfer in five human colon cancer cell lines. METHODS: Expression of CAR-specific mRNA and protein was analyzed by reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting,respectively. Adenovirus-based gene delivery was evaluated by infection of cells with adenoviral vector carrying the green fluorescent protein (GFP) gene. RESULTS: All the colon cancer cell lines examined (HT29,LS180,SW480,SW948 and SW1116) expressed CAR full-length mRNA and an alternatively-spliced variant that lacks the transmembrane coding exon. All cell lines were detected as CAR-positive by Western blot analysis. Further,all cells we examined were efficiently infected with adenoviral vector-GFP. CONCLUSION: The data indicated that the five colon cancer cell lines tested expressed adenovirus primary receptor and could be efficiently infected by adenoviral vectors. Therefore,these cell lines will be useful for adenovirus-based gene transfer and research.
