Optimization of Ilmenite Dissolution by Synergistic Effect of Oxalic Acid and Hydrochloric Acid for Preparing Synthetic Rutile

This study was carried out to investigate the interaction of oxalic acid with hydrochloric acid to attain the better performance for iron dissolution in comparison to absence of oxalic acid. The effects of oxalic acid on ratio of hydrochloric acid, acid concentration, ratio of liquid to solid, temperature and dissolution time are investigated for the dissolution of Fe and Ti from ilmenite to produce synthetic rutile. The DX7 software basing on an experimental design method with the central composite of response surface design is applied to specify the effects of the parameters and to optimize the leaching process. The optimum condition was determined by analysis of variance (ANOVA), indicating that the ratio of oxalic acid to hydrochloric acid for Fe dissolution and acid concentration for Ti dissolution were the most effective parameters. The results showed that the dissolution of Fe and Ti in 30% (w/w) hydrochloric acid solution was only 48.65% and 5.14%, respectively, while at the same condition and in the presence of oxalic acid with twice the ratio, these values are increased to 78.65% and 12.06%, respectively. The optimum values of parameters were as follows: oxalic acid to hydrochloric acid ratio (2:1), acid concentration (30%), ratio of liquid to solid (10), temperature (160 °C), and dissolution time (3 h). By applying the optimized parameters, Fe and Ti dissolution of 97.15% and 2.8% were predicted by the software with a desirability of 0.745. The results of leaching tests indicated that the Fe and Ti dissolution of 97.58% and 2.43%, were achieved, respectively, which are very close to the predicted value.

The Selection of Equipment and Parameters for Green Salt Production by Hydro-fluorination of UO2

According to the specific properties of UO2 obtained by the thermal decomposition and reduction of ammonium uranyl carbonate and the experimental data analysis of dynamics, in combination with the practical experience of production, we determined to use the hydro-fluorination process of horizontal stirred furnace. The productive operations and modifications for hydro-fluorination of UO2 are mainly summarized in this paper. The dimension of a furnace cylinder is 0.16 m × 2 m and two furnaces link up in series. Gas phase reacts with solid phase in counter flow. The temperature gradient of the reaction from the feed ends of raw material UO2 the discharge and of UF4 is 250-300-400-480 °C. The UF4 content in product is greater than/or equal to 92%, and the hydrogen fluoride concentration in tail gas is 20± 5%.

Management of Vascular Malformations in Dangerous Area of Oral Cavity: The Iranian Experience and Review of Treatment Modalities

Aim: To evaluate the effect of a highly potent corticosteroid (dexamethasone) in the treatment of vascular malformation when the location is difficult to reach and complications such as uncontrolled bleeding is predictable in surgery. Background: Vascular malformation is not a common lesion in oral cavity especially in alveolar ridge with extension to the pillar uvula. These lesions arise from capillary or venous malformations with various surgical or non-surgical treatment modalities. Case Description: We performed weekly intralesional injection of dexamethasone in a patient with a vascular malformation in alveolar ridge extending to the lingual side of alveolar ridge and posterior extension to the uvula. Complete resolution of lesion was observed after 6th injection. Conclusion: Intralesional injection of dexamethasone is a potentially curative method to treat oral vascular malformation. Clinical Significance: Injection of dexamethasone is a simple and cost-effective therapy that can be used as a safe treatment for vascular malformations prior to or as a substitute for surgery.

Detection, Identification and Tracking of Flying Objects in Three Dimensions Using Multistatic Radars

Multistatic radar systems can be used in many applications such as homeland security, anti-air defense, anti-missile defense, ship’s navigation and traffic control systems. Multistatic radars, which are capable of detecting and tracking flying objects in three-dimension coordinate systems, are simulated in this paper. The location and velocity of flying objects as well as their radar cross sections are computed. The object’s path is also estimated by tracking the object.

Quasicrystals are material with perfect long-range order, but with no three-dimensional translation periodicity. They are typically binary and ternary metallic alloys. Quasicrystals have characteristic physical properties. Some resemble those of periodic crystals while others have similar properties to amorphous alloys. Many of their mechanical physical prop- erties are quite unusual by the standards of common metals. The peculiar physical properties of quasicrystals certainly give rise to the hope that they may become of some practical importance in the future. Some of these properties are surface related. This provides the main motivation for surface scientists to study this material. In this paper;quasicrystals, types of them, physical properties, surface science and potential applications of them have been discussed.

Organic and inorganic clusteroluminescence have attracted great attention while the underlying mechanisms is still not well ***,we employed a series of ancient inorganic complexes platinocyanides with aggregation-induced emission property to elucidate the mechanism of clusteroluminescence including how does the chromophore form and how does the solid structures influence the luminescence *** results indicate that the isolated platinocyanide cannot work as a chromophore to emit visible light,while their clusterization at aggregate state can trigger the d-orbitals coupling of the platinum atoms to facilitate the electron exchange and delocalization to form a new chromophore to emit visible ***,the counter ions and H2O ligands help to rigidify the three-dimensional network structure of the platinocyanides to suppress the excited state nonradiative decay,resulting in the high quantum yield of up to 96%.This work fundamentally helps understanding both the organic and inorganic clusteroluminescence phenomenon.

Usually the oral manifestations of NHL are secondary to a more widespread involvement throughout the body, however, it can rarely present as a primary lesion in the oral cavity, having 0.1% - 0.2% prevalence. In this paper we report a case of highly proliferative oral non-Hodgkin lymphoma which presented with very mild symptoms, but had a sudden and significant progression in less than two weeks with involvement of all four quadrants of the oral cavity.

施工企业所实施的设备方针和建立的设备管理系统，对企业的经济效益在很长的时间内都有其重大的持续的影响，尤其是对机械设备投资大企业更是如此，为此，我们设计了FLEET设备管理系统。FLEET包括四个部分：（1）库存管理模。（2）费用、时间、工作录模。（3）维修管理模。（4）报表输出模。库存管理模包括下列数据、机械设备的编号、说明书、系列编号、生产厂有、购置机械的日期，购置价，机械使用，机械的市场价值及机械保管员。费用、时间工作启示摸包括了设备在生产、费用、与工作时间方面的有关数据：机械设备的编号、所从事工作名称、每小时工作费用率、折旧、保险、利息、税金、机械设备的保管费用、燃油、润滑油、轮胎损耗，机械设备的日常保养、保养工作人员、保养小时数、停机保养时间、闲置时间及生产量等，这些数据统计以后都被贮存在一张主盘上。维修管理模由两个文件组成，一个文件用来安排设备的维修，另珍上文件用来记录设备的维修履历（包括预防维修、现场／车间维修和大修）。这三个模的资料最后都通过报表输出整理成适合的表格输出，供管理者参考，以便做出正确的决策，也可以随机掌握每天的工作情况。但于对生产的管理。采用并不断完善设备管理系统对于施工企业经济效益的提高有重大意义。

The fire and smoke monitoring systems are useful in different industry such as military,social security and *** recent methods for fire and smoke detection are used only motion and color characteristics thus many wrong alarms are happening and this is decrease the performance of the *** research presents a new method for fire and smoke detection through image *** this algorithm all objects in an image is considered and then check them to figure out which objects are smoke and *** color,motion and disorder are useful characteristics in fire and smoke detection *** of fire will blur the whole or part of the *** by processing of the video frames,different objects will *** to evaluate the features of objects,the goal objects （fire and smoke） can be defined ***-dimensional wavelet analysis is used in the presented *** results of this research present the proposed features that can reduce the wrong alarms and increase the system performances.

伊朗的地震危险性

1 地震危险性评定历史伊朗有若干个地区易发生破坏性地震。从1930～1985年,Wilson(1930)、Niazi和Basford(1968)、Nowroozi(1972,1976)、Banisadr(1971)、Ambraseys和Moinfar(1973),以及Berberian(1973)等开展了地震危险性评定研究工作。Neghabat和Liu(1977)根据20～1000年复发周期的地震烈度,分析了伊朗的地震带并编制了区域等震线图。对伊朗25个主要城市,计算了不同年危险性的地面峰值加速度,以50年和500年复发周期伊朗等加速度值的地震危险性图的形式(图1)给出了结果。
