We have investigated the mode of action of synthetic biocides,(2-(thiocyanomethylthio)benzothiazole(TCMTB),dichlorophen,(commonly used in leather industry for preservation)and natural biocides,oregano and eucalyptus oils,on Aeromonas hydrophila using Raman spectroscopy in collaboration with multivariate analysis and 2D correlation spectroscopy to evaluate whether Raman spectra acquired contained valuable information to study the action of biocides on bacterial *** growth of *** in clear and outer edge zone of inhibition differ in their reaction with different biocides,which allows us to highlight the differences as a characteristic of two kinds of *** classification helps identify oregano oil as the most effective biocide by altering clear and outer edge zone of *** disk diffusion assay method was used for screening biocide bacteria interactions and later analysed by Raman *** paper also presents the introduction of TCMTB and oregano oil into leather processing stages to examine and determine the antimicrobial effect as an application to real-world ***,we conclude that Raman spectroscopy with appropriate computational tools constitutes a powerful approach for screening biocides,which provide solutions to all the industries using biocides including leather industry,considering the potentially harmful effect of biocides to humans and the environment.

BACKGROUND The lymphocyte to monocyte ratio(LMR)is considered a marker of systemic inflammation in cardiovascular disease and acts as predictor of mortality in coronary artery *** To investigate the predictive role of LMR in diabetic coronary artery disease *** This cross-sectional study was conducted at tertiary care super-specialty hospital at New Delhi,India.A total of 200 angiography-proven coronary artery disease(CAD)patients were enrolled and grouped into two categories:Group I[CAD patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)levels≥6.5%],and Group II(CAD patients without T2DM and HbA1c levels<6.5%).Serum lipoproteins,HbA1c,and complete blood count of enrolled patients were analyzed using fully automatic *** The logistic regression analysis showed an odds ratio of 1.48(95%CI:1.28-1.72,P<0.05)for diabetic coronary artery disease patients(Group I)in unadjusted *** adjusting for age,gender,diet,smoking,and hypertension history,the odds ratio increased to 1.49(95%CI:1.29-1.74,P<0.01)in close association with *** adjustment for high cholesterol and triglycerides yielded the same odds ratio of 1.49(95%CI:1.27-1.75,P<0.01).Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis revealed 74%sensitivity,64%specificity,and 0.74 area under the curve(95%CI:0.67-0.80,P<0.001),suggesting moderate predictive accuracy for diabetic CAD *** LMR showed positive association with diabetic coronary artery disease,with moderate predictive *** findings have implications for improving CAD management in diabetics,necessitating further research and targeted interventions.

Distinct migratory pathways and trafficking of dendritic cells to the central nervous system (CNS): The immune system is a host defense mechanism protecting against invaders, such as bacteria and viruses, while maintaining tolerance to self. Nonetheless, a few sites throughout the body are believed to be immunologically inert, such as the testes, the eye and the brain. Indeed, experiments in the mid-20th century gave rise to the concept of the brain as a site of immune privilege. Originally, the immune privilege of the brain was thought to be absolute, attributed by a physical blood-brain barrier (BBB) protecting the CNS from the entry of pathogens and circulating immune cells. These views have changed and currently, the CNS is seen as an immune-specialized site regulated by immunological components into and within the CNS.

Objective:To assess the prevalence of Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV)and associated risk factors in the swine population of ***:A total of 432 swine serum and blood samples were collected from Barpeta and Sonitpur districts of Assam and were screened for the presence of JEV *** related to risk factors was collected using a self-designed questionnaire from 120 swine-rearing ***-mixed models were used for prevalence *** and multivariate regression models were constructed to evaluate the association of demography,season and management practices with JEV positive ***:Overall,the JEV infection prevalence was 51.6%at farm and 47.1%at slaughter *** analysis of partial sequence of envelope gene of two positive field samples revealed that both isolates belonged to genotypeⅢ*** 1 shared a common clade with human isolates while isolate 2 belonged to the same clade as that of other JEV swine strain isolated from *** final multivariate model showed that two factors including monsoon season(Adjusted OR 5.6;95%CI 2.1-14.9;P<0.001)and water logging in the area near the pig shelter(Adjusted OR 16.9;95%CI 6.1-47.3;P<0.001)were associated with greater odds of swine being infected with ***:High prevalence of JEV in swine population of Assam state indicates a significant risk of virus transmission to humans while risk factor study underlines the urgent need for awareness campaigns in the Assam.

A dual S shaped micro strip antenna with a realistic feed is proposed for generation of tilted beam radiation pattern pertaining for beam steering applications. To achieve this, four feeding points are located at a distance of 5.6 mm from the antenna centre. These feeding points when excited one by one generate four tilted beams in four different space quadrants, thus yielding a beam steerable antenna, Importantly, since the proposed antenna is symmetrical in the structure, all the four tilted beams have the same radiation pattern characteristics. A further enhancement of the antenna bandwidth is also achieved using 100-μn capacitive coupling between the feed and the antenna strip.
