Diabetes is a chronic and debilitating disease,which is associated with a range of complications putting tremendous burden on medical,economic and socio-technological infrastructure *** the higher authorities of health services are facing the excruciating cumulative reasons of diabetes as a very imperative worldwide issue in the 21st *** study aims to relook at the misapplication of the processed radio frequency that frailties in the pancreas within and around the personal body boundary *** administered sensor data were obtained at laboratory experiments from the selected specimens on dogs and cats in light and dark *** study shows the frequent urine flow speed varies with sudden infection due to treated wireless sensor networks in active open *** overweight and obese persons are increasingly affected in diabetes with comprehensive urinary pressure due to continuous staying at dark *** findings replicate the increasing tide of diabetes *** study also represents the difficulties of physicians to provide adequate diabetic management according to their expectancy due to insecure personal area network control *** sensor network is indispensable for healthcare but such network is at risk to health security due to digitalized poisoning within GPS *** study recommends the anti-radiation integrated system policy with user’s security alternative approach to inspire dealing with National Health Policy and Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

Investigating the Prospect of Small-Scale Wind Turbines Based on Regional Wind Velocities in Bangladesh

The wind turbine has the advantage of operating uninterruptedly, which ensures a constant source of electricity. This investigation includes a clear overview of the wind velocity, the flow direction;the amount of energy reserved, suitable regions for wind turbine installation, etc. The feasibility and possibility of installing a wind energy conversion system for several locations in Bangladesh are analyzed. A brief study of wind characteristics in different locations in Bangladesh is reported. Wind data obtained from the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (Bmd) for Mongla, Patuakhali, Kutubdia, and Bhola stations are analyzed through wind rose, frequency distribution, and average wind velocity. The performance of suitable small-scale wind turbines will be assessed in order to confirm the prospect of wind turbines in Bangladesh.

First Report of Pseudopestalotiopsis theae Causing Aloe vera Leaf Spot Disease in Bangladesh

Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f. is one of the important medicinal plants, has been commercially cultivated in the Northern part of Bangladesh. An experiment was conducted to detect A. vera leaf disease collected from Natore district, Bangladesh. Fungal leaf spot disease caused by Pseudopestalotiopsis theae (Sawada) Maharachch., K.D. Hyde & Crous was identified through morphological features and sequencing of internal transcribed spacer region of ribosomal DNA. After submitting nucleotide sequences to NCBI, we received an accession number MH333081.1: Pseudopestalotiopsis theae. The growth pattern of the isolated fungal pathogen was evaluated on different solid culture media, at different temperature and light conditions. The results showed the maximum mycelial growth of the fungus on the Richard Agar medium under the complete dark condition at 25°C. We evaluated fungal antagonists against the isolated pathogenic fungus, in which Trichoderma asperellum showed optimistic results. Synthetic fungicides—Tilt 250EC and Ridomil Gold completely inhibited the studied fungus’s vegetative growth. Pseudopestalotiopsis theae causing A. vera leaf spot disease in Bangladesh is a new record to the best of our knowledge.

The depletion in non-renewable energy sources and a fast-growing population in Bangladesh are exacerbating the already existing energy scarcity,highlighting the need for an efficient and robust renewable-energy supply *** primary goal of this study is to evaluate the most optimized renewable-energy supply chain based on natural resource availability and government policies of *** the present study,four renewable energy resources,including solar,biomass,wind and hydropower,are studied and nine subcriteria are defined under four primary criteria for each supply *** for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS)and VIseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje(VIKOR)are multicriteria decision-making approaches used in this study to compare and choose the best renewable-energy supply *** relative significance of four supply-chain criteria for primary renewable energy in this study,namely energy procurement,production,operations and maintenance costs,and social and environmental impact,is gathered via a *** results of this research,supported by a comprehensive sensitivity analysis,indicate that hydropower is the best renewable-energy supply chain,followed by wind as a compromise solution,biomass and *** study also demonstrates that no energy source can satisfy all supply-chain criteria alone;each resource is better for a specific criterion-solar is better for procurement,hydropower is significant for production and wind is remarkable for operations and social ***,to maximize output,renewable energy sources must be *** Bangladesh’s perspective,for the first time,by using TOPSIS and VIKOR together,this study offers significant insights to establish an efficient and sustainable renewable-energy supply chain for practitioners,academics and policymakers.

In order to harness wind energy with high coefficients, horizontal axis wind turbines (HAWT), like propeller-type wind turbines, have an advantage in terms of practical utilization because of their scale merit. However, large size and high tip-speed ratio are inherently related to material strength problems and low frequency noise emissions to the environment. In contrast to HAWT, we will discuss a flapping-type turbine driven at low speed. The flapping turbine works using lift force like the HAWT, but employs a new wind turbine concept in the present report. The concept involves the unique flapping motion of a wind blade mounted on a Chebyshev-dyad linkage by which the wing transforms wind energy into mechanical rotation. Both static and dynamic numerical estimates are developed to optimize all fundamental parameters of this linkage in order to obtain the desired torque. In this paper, the results of primitive optimization for determining the fundamental characteristics of motion and the trajectory of the wind turbine blade are demonstrated in order to obtain smooth rotation of the generator-driving shaft. It is also shown that the present turbine can be driven at low speed with a suitable energy conversion rate. Moreover, the practicality of operating slow flapping-type wind turbines is demonstrated, focusing on usage near residential areas or, e.g., on rooftops owing to lower noise. The feasibility of “figure eight” trajectory diversity is discussed along with geometrical parameters. Assuming one-blade motion with a variable trajectory for optimization, the smooth motion and required torque at slow rotation speeds are studied.

The objective of this research is mainly focused on environment-friendly and moderately slow flapping wind turbine which can easily operate in or near urban areas or rooftops owing to scale merit with low-frequency turbine noise, installation cost, avian mortality rate and safety consideration etc. The authors are focusing on lift based (LB) slow flapping wind turbine operated within a small attack angle amplitude whereas the previous research treated a lift and drag based (LDB) flapping turbine. Here, a unique trajectory for the wing motion was yet designed by using the Chebyshev dyad linkage mechanism as well as the previous report. The wind energy transferred to the mechanical rotation, adopting a single symmetric wing NACA0012. To obtain a smooth flapping motion for the blade, we optimize all fundamental parameters with our simulation model for optimum performance of the turbine. Both static and dynamic analysis has been conducted to confirm the feasibility of the present design. In addition, wind turbine performance was studied for a suitable range of free stream wind velocities. This report confirms that the developed flapping wind turbine can drive at slow speed with suitable energy extraction rate at different wind velocities. Moreover, we made a simple comparative study of the outcomes obtained from our previous lift and drag based flapping wind turbine with present one, i.e., lift based flapping turbine.

Mechanisms of NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated hepatic stellate cell activation: Therapeutic potential for liver fibrosis

The liver injury leads to an inflammatory response, which causes the activation of hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) that further secrete ECM proteins and play an important role in liver fibrosis. Moreover, the inflammatory response is a driving force for fibrogenesis, which is triggered by many types of injuries. Exaggerated inflammatory immune responses are mediated by cytoplasmic protein complexes known as inflammasomes, which are involved in many chronic liver diseases. Inflammasomes are pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) that can sense any microbial motifs known as pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs), and host- or environmental-derived stress signals known as damage-associated molecular patterns (DAMPs). The inflammasomes cause caspase-mediated proteolytic cleavage of pro-IL-1β and pro-IL-18 into active IL-1β and IL-18. In this review, we provide a comprehensive summary of the important roles of NLRP3 inflammasome in the pathogenesis of liver fibrosis with an emphasis on several direct and indirect pathways responsible for the NLRP3 inflammasome-mediated HSCs activation and fibrogenesis. In addition, we discuss the general pharmacological and genetics strategies for the inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome activation and its downstream signaling with examples of emerging pharmacotherapeutics, targeting the NLRP3 inflammasome signaling as well as a possible way to develop effective and safer NLRP3 inflammasome inhibitors.
