Brick kiln is well known as one of the main sources of air pollution;however,the pollutants produced from it do not remain in the air,they ultimately fall down to the soil and pollute the surroundings,therefore,this study was carried out to assess the status of macro(N,P,K and S)and micro nutrients(Fe,Mn and Zn,Cu)in the agricultural environment near the brick kilns of Young Brahmaputra and Jamuna Floodplain *** soil and plant samples were collected from four distances such as 250 m,500 m,1000 m,and 1500 m in three different ***(2352-3378 mg kg^-1),Zn(86-156 mg kg^-1)and Cu(24.7-46.9 mg kg^-1)are found in the elevated levels near brick kiln soils that is released due to burning of poor quality coal and fire *** alarming news is that plant uptake of S and micro nutrients in the nearest areas of the brick kilns are significantly higher than the areas far from the brick production and their concentration ranges from 23 mg kg^-1 to 101 mg kg^-1 for Zn,10-41 mg kg^-1 for Cu,35-1309 mg kg^-1 for Fe,26-126 mg kg^-1 for Mn and 2590-mg kg^-1 for *** indicates both soil and plant received maximum amount of micronutrients and S concentrations within 500-1000 m distances from brick *** and Mn concentrations vary within a permissible limit but the plant uptake is *** concentrations is increasing with the distance from the brick kilns in both soils and plants but no definite pattern of P and K accumulation was *** suggested avoiding agricultural practice nearby brick kiln soils due to micronutrient contamination in order to preserve adjoined agricultural environment.

Interaction between beta-lactum antibiotic drug ciprofloxacin hydrochloride(CFH)and cationic surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB)was performed conductometrically in aqueous as well as in the occurrence of different salts(NaCl,KCl as well as NH_4Cl)over the temperature range of 298.15–323.15 K at the regular interval of 5 *** drug has been suggested for the treatment of bacterial infections such as urinary tract infections and acute sinusitis.A clear critical micelle concentration(CMC)was obtained for pure CTAB as well as(CFH+CTAB)mixed *** decrease in CMC values of CTAB caused by the addition of CFH reveals the existence of the interaction between the components and therefore it is the indication of micelle formation at lower concentration of CTAB and their CMC values further decrease in attendance of salts.A nonlinear behavior in the CMC versus T plot was observed in all the *** ΔG_m^0 values are found to be negative in present study systems demonstrated the stability of the *** values of ΔH_m^0 and ΔS_m^0 reveal the existence of hydrophobic and electrostatic interactions between CFH and *** thermodynamic properties of transfer for the micellization were also evaluated and discussed in *** dynamic simulation disclosed that environment of water and salts have impact on the hydrophobic interaction between CFH and *** water and salts,CTAB adopts spherical micelle in which charged hydrophilic groups are interacted with waters whereas hydrophobic tails form the core of the *** hydrophobic core region is highly conserved and *** addition,micelle formation is more favorable in aqueous Na Cl solution than other solutions.

Pig meat off-flavor is attributed to trimethylamine(TMA)concentration,and it is considered as the precursor of the fishy off-flavor *** this study,TMA concentrations in pig meat were determined,and the interactions with breed and gender effects were *** addition,the TMA threshold for meat off-flavor and pig meat natural quality was measured in relation to meat storage and movement,and the influential factors including the pig breed and storage time were *** results indicated positive effects on the precursor of the fishy off-flavor and the TMA *** breeds were found to have lower TMA concentrations than European breeds(P<0.01),and females and castrated males had significantly lower TMA concentration than males(P<0.01),The threshold concentration of TMA when meat was classed as off-flavored was 25μg·g^(–1),and this occurred after 35–38 h of *** natural qualities,such as appearance,flavor,color and overall acceptable scores declined significantly after 4 days in storage(P<0.01).It is concluded that pig meat off-flavor,breed and gender were essential factors affecting flavor for meat breeding programs,and storage time is important for pig meat natural quality.

Endothelial cell death due to increased reactive oxygen species(ROS) may contribute to the initial endothelial injury,which promotes atherosclerotic lesion *** sarmentosum(PS),a natural product,has been shown to have an antioxidant property,which is hypothesized to inhibit production of ROS and prevent cell ***,the present study was designed to determine the effects of PS on the hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)-induced oxidative cell damage in cultured human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).In this experiment,HUVECs were obtained by collagenase perfusion of the large vein in the umbilical cord and cultured in medium M200 supplemented with low serum growth supplementation(LSGS).HUVECs were treated with various concentrations of H2O2(0-1000 μmol/L) and it was observed that 180 μmol/L H2O2 reduced cell viability by 50% as denoted by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT) *** the above concentration as the positive control,the H2O2-induced HUVECs were concomitantly treated with various concentrations(100,150,250 and 300 μg/ml) of three different extracts(aqueous,methanol and hexane) of ***(mdA),superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT) and glutathione peroxidase(GPX) levels showed a significant increase(PmdA,SOD,CAT and GPX levels(P<0.05).Furthermore,PS had exhibited ferric reducing antioxidant power with its high phenolic ***,it was concluded that PS plays a beneficial role in reducing oxidative stress in H2O2-induced HUVECs.

Candida species have been associated with the emergence of strains resistant to selected antifungal agents. Plant products have been used traditionally as alternative medicine to ease mucosal fungal infections. This study aimed to investigate the effects of Piper betle extract on the growth profile and the ultrastructure of commonly isolated oral candidal cells. The major component of Po betle was identified using liquid chromatography-mass spectrophotometry （LC-MS/MS）. Seven ATCC control strains of Candida species were cultured in yeast peptone dextrose broth under four different growth environments：（i） in the absence of P. betle extract; and in the presence of P. beUeextract at respective concentrations of （ii） 1 ***-1; （iii） 3 ***-1; and （iv） 6 ***- 1 The growth inhibitory responses of the candidal cells were determined based on changes in the specific growth rates （μ）. Scanning electron microscopy （SEM） was used to observe any ultrastructural alterations in the candida colonies. LC-MS/MS was performed to validate the presence of bioactive compounds in the extract. Following treatment, it was observed that the p-values of the treated cells were significantly different than those of the untreated cells （P〈0.05）, indicating the fungistatic properties of the P. beUe extract. The candidal population was also reduced from an average of 13.44× 10^6 to 1.78×10^6 viable cell counts （CFU）.mL-1, SEM examination exhibited physical damage and considerable morphological alterations of the treated cells. The compound profile from LC-MS/MS indicated the presence of hydroxybenzoic acid, chavibetol and hydroxychavicol in P. betle extract. The effects of P. betle on candida cells could potentiate its antifungal activity.

Determinants of Under-Five Mortality in Bangladesh

This paper examines determinants of under-five mortality in Bangladesh. The study utilizes the data extracted from the 2007 Bangladesh demographic and health survey. Chi-square test for independence and multivariate proportional hazard analysis reflects that father’s education, place of residence, region of residence, number of children under five years of age, previous death of sibling, mother’s age and breastfeeding have significant influence on under-five mortality. The proximate determinants are found to have stronger influence on under-five mortality than the socioeconomic factors considered in the study do.

Failure detection is an essential task in industrial systems for preventing costly downtime and ensuring the seamlessoperation of the system. Current industrial processes are getting smarter with the emergence of Industry ***, various modernized industrial processes have been equipped with quite a few sensors to collectprocess-based data to find faults arising or prevailing in processes along with monitoring the status of *** diagnosis of rotating machines serves a main role in the engineering field and industrial production. Dueto the disadvantages of existing fault, diagnosis approaches, which greatly depend on professional experienceand human knowledge, intellectual fault diagnosis based on deep learning (DL) has attracted the researcher’sinterest. DL reaches the desired fault classification and automatic feature learning. Therefore, this article designs a Gradient Optimizer Algorithm with Hybrid Deep Learning-based Failure Detection and Classification (GOAHDLFDC)in the industrial environment. The presented GOAHDL-FDC technique initially applies continuous wavelettransform (CWT) for preprocessing the actual vibrational signals of the rotating machinery. Next, the residualnetwork (ResNet18) model was exploited for the extraction of features from the vibration signals which are thenfed into theHDLmodel for automated fault detection. Finally, theGOA-based hyperparameter tuning is performedtoadjust the parameter valuesof theHDLmodel *** experimental result analysis of the GOAHDL-FD Calgorithm takes place using a series of simulations and the experimentation outcomes highlight the better resultsof the GOAHDL-FDC technique under different aspects.
