Even with implementation of current influenza vaccines,influenza still claims up to 500,000 lives worldwide annually,indicating a need for a better vaccine *** have developed a technology to generate unique S_(60)-HA1 pseudovirus nanoparticles(PVNPs)that display the receptor-binding HA1 domains of influenza *** self-assembled S_(60)-HA1 PVNP consists of a T=1 icosahedral S_(60) nanoparticle that resembles the inner shell of norovirus capsid and 60 surface-displayed HA1 antigens that are excellent vaccine *** S_(60)-HA1 PVNPs presenting HA1 antigens of H7N9 influenza virus subtypes have been produced efficiently in large *** three-dimensional(3D)structures have been solved by cryogenic electron *** PVNP-displayed HA1 antigens react with HA-specific antibody,and retain authentic sialic acid binding specificity and hemagglutinate human *** PVNPs are highly immunogenic,eliciting high titers of HA1-specific antibodies in mice and the mouse sera strongly inhibited hemagglutinations of homologous and heterologous influenza virus HA ***,the S_(60)-HA1 PVNPs may provide useful reagents to study influenza viruses and offer a potential new vaccine tactic to fight the deadly influenza disease.

The uncertainty in solar energy is different from conventional,dispatchable generation fuels and difficult to incorporate into the standard system operating *** the first part of this work,the machine learning algorithm is used to train models based on solar irradiance data and different meteorological weather information to predict the solar irradiance for different cities to validate the forecasting ***,the intermittent and inertialess nature of photovoltaic(PV)systems can produce significant power oscillations that can cause significant problems with dynamic stability of the power system and also limit the penetration capacity of PV into the *** the second part,it is shown that the residue-based power oscillation damping(POD)controller obviously improves the inter-area oscillation *** validity and effectiveness of the proposed controller are demonstrated on the three-machine two-area test system that combines the conventional synchronous generator and flexible alternating current transmission systems(FACTS)device using *** report overall puts an in-depth analysis with regard to the challenges of solar resources with integrating,planning,operating,and particularly the stability of the rest of the power grid,including existing generation resources,customer requirements,and the transmission system itself that will lead to an improved decision making in resource allocations and grid stability.

New Schiff Bases from 6,6’-Diformyl-2,2’-Bipyridyl with Amines Containing O, S, N and F: Synthesis and Characterization

Eight novel Schiff Bases, from 6,6′-diformyl-2,2′-bipyridyl (1a, 43%)with O, N, S and F containing amines: Thiosemicarbazide (2a, 70%), 4-Ethyl-3-thiosemicabazide (2b, 75%), 4,4-Dimethyl-3-thio-semicarbazide (2c, 75%), S-benzyldithiocarbazide, SBDTC (2d, 80%), (Trifluromethyl) phenylhy-drazine (2e, 80%), 4-Phenyl-3-thiosemcarbazide (2f, 80%), Thiocarbazide (2g, 70%), 2-Amino-thiophenol (2h, 65%), have been synthesized. The conventional method of synthesis of the Schiff bases involves refluxing the reaction mixture containing the diformyls and amines for 1 hour. The solid products that had formed were filtered off using suction filtration. In few reactions, 2 - 3 drops of conc. sulfuric acid were used to obtain high yield. The structures of all eight novel synthesized compounds have fully been characterized by spectroscopic (IR, NMR, MS) methods.

Synthesis and Characterization of 2,2’-Bipyridyl-5,5’-Dialdehyde Schiff Bases from O,S,N and F-Containing Amines

Design and synthesis of organic chelating agents containing nitrogen and sulfur as donor atoms and their metal complexes is an interesting field of research for their different types of activities. The bi-dentate N,N chelating agent such as 2,2-Bipyridal has been playing a vital role in synthetic and medicinal chemistry. 2,2-Bipyridal has been used to prepare many mixed-ligand complexes. Different ligand complexes prepared from 2,2-Bipyridyl are used in different areas such as molecular catalysis, solar energy conversion, calorimetric analysis, herbicides, molecular recognition, self-assembly, antineoplastic agents, and nucleic acid probes. Another important property of these types of compounds is the triplet state photosensitizing character of bipyridyl nucleus, which is shown in metal complexes. It is also found that compounds containing O,S,N atoms have received considerable attention because of their pharmacological studies like anticancer, antibacterial, and antitumour activities. Therefore, it has been decided to synthesize Schiff bases derived from 2,2’- bipyridyl-5,5’-dicarbaldehyde compounds with O,S,N and F-containing amines and study their antibacterial properties. Several new Schiff bases have been synthesized and fully characterized by spectral data. This paper presents the synthesis and characterization of newly designed Schiff bases.

This paper provides a technical analysis of energy harvesting (EH) in the field of power and energy sector, including different aspects of harvesting energy, individual case history, control strategies of harvesting in the field of power and energy sector together with the current trend and future aspects of it. EH is comparatively a new concept which is growing very fast since the 20th century and catching new generation research approaches. This paper not only describes the past and current scenarios of harvesting energy with radio frequency (RF) and renewables but also gives author’s own anticipation of the upcoming future trends of it by comparing the case histories.

The effect of temperature,p H and metal ions on the activity and stability of crude protease from Bacillus licheniformis MZK03 was *** fermentation in shake culture revealed that maximum level of enzyme was produced at 37°C and p H 8.5 after 39 hr at 120 *** lost its activity rapidly above 50°C and half-life of the protease at this temperature was 50 min with optimum activity at 40°*** was most stable at p H 8.5 and lost its activity rapidly above p H 10.0,and at p H 11.0 reached30% of the activity obtained at p H *** enzyme lost its activity completely at p H *** proteolytic activity was found at 40 o C and p H *** enzyme activity was accelerated by the addition of Mg2+,Ca2+ and Mn2+,whereas it was inhibited by Hg2+.
