The development of a nation is deeply related to its energy consumption.2D nanomaterials have become a spotlight for energy harvesting applications from the small-scale of low-power electronics to a large-scale for industry-level applications,such as self-powered sensor devices,environmental monitoring,and large-scale power *** from around the world are working to utilize their engrossing properties to overcome the challenges in material selection and fabrication technologies for compact energy scavenging devices to replace batteries and traditional power *** this review,the variety of techniques for scavenging energies from sustainable sources such as solar,air,waste heat,and surrounding mechanical forces are discussed that exploit the fascinating properties of 2D *** addition,practical applications of these fabricated power generating devices and their performance as an alternative to conventional power supplies are discussed with the future pertinence to solve the energy problems in various fields and applications.

近几十年来,随着公共卫生安全事件的频发,个体防护意识的逐步增强增强,抗菌纺织品逐渐引起人们广泛的关注。在织物抗菌整理研究中,常见的抗菌整理剂如金属银(Ag)基纳米材料、光催化材料氧化锌(Zn O)和二氧化钛(Ti O)、有机季铵盐化合物(QACs)及天然抗菌剂如壳聚糖等已经得到了深入探索。相比天然抗菌剂的来源受限、有机抗菌剂的生物毒性,无机抗菌剂仍是目前整理剂的首选。随着纳米技术的不断进步,贵金属纳米材料如纳米银颗粒(Ag NPs)、纳米金颗粒(Au NPs)和纳米铂颗粒(Pt NPs)被广泛应用于纺织品的抗菌整理中,取得了令人满意的效果。然而,对于超小尺寸、多功能化的铂纳米团簇基材料(Pt NCs)的抗菌性能研究甚少。本研究采用简单的一锅还原法制备了一种聚乙烯基亚胺稳定的Pt NCs基新型抗菌整理剂。透射电子显微镜(TEM)、X射线光电子能谱(XPS)和傅里叶变换红外光谱(FTIR)等手段用来检测Pt NCs的形貌和结构表征。结果表明合成的Pt NCs具有1.6±0.4 nm的超小球形,并呈现零价态。选取大肠杆菌和铜绿假单胞菌为目标检测细菌,通过抑菌圈试验和OD值测试,检测制备的新型Pt NCs材料的抑菌效果。Pt NCs基抗菌剂的浓度为0.035 mg/m L和0.018 mg/m L时,对大肠杆菌和铜绿假单胞菌均有一定的抗菌作用,这是由于Pt NCs材料带正电荷,更容易进入负电的细菌体内产生活性氧(ROS)进而破坏细菌的DNA,起到抗菌的效果。随后,这种令人满意的Pt NCs基抗菌剂通过浸渍法、汽蒸法和涂覆法三种方法对棉织物进行整理,并采用振荡法验证对于大肠杆菌的抑制效果,光学显微镜、拉伸强度测试仪和白度测试仪测定Pt NCs基抗菌剂整理后棉织物的形态、机械性能和白度。浸渍法实验中,整理后的棉织物在光学显微镜下结构形貌变化不大;兼顾织物白度性能,当Pt NCs基抗菌剂的用量为0.06 mg/m L,浸渍时间为48 h时抗菌效果最佳。汽蒸法整理后的棉织物在相同条件下的抑菌率普遍高于浸渍法处理后的织物,但由于汽蒸后抗菌整理剂进入棉织物的不均匀问题,限制了其实际应用。涂覆法抗菌整理的抗菌效果要明显优于浸渍法和汽蒸法。本研究采用水性聚氨酯和有机硅树脂两种助剂,配方为胶粘剂10%、增稠剂2%、分散剂0.2%进行整理实验。实验结果表明,两种助剂结合Pt NCs基抗菌剂涂覆在棉织物均展现出对于大肠杆菌较好的抑菌性能。整理后的织物在光学电子显微镜下表现出与原布样不同的状态,反映了纤维表面被涂层助剂的附着,改善了织物形态结构。另一方面,抗菌整理后的织物,其机械拉伸性能明显提高,但在白度方面,三种方法抗菌整理后织物的白度数据与未抗菌整理的棉织物的白度数据有一定差异。结合在白度和拉伸性能数据,以水性聚氨酯为粘合剂,Pt NCs基抗菌剂添加量为0.14 mg/m L时,对棉织物涂布整理达到的抗菌效果最佳。结果也反映了合成的Pt NCs基抗菌剂与水溶性粘合剂有着更好的相溶性和亲和力,这种涂覆方法更有利实现Pt NCs基抗菌剂的纺织品整理的应用。随着抗菌研究逐渐成为人们关注的热点问题,抗菌剂的开发和应用在未来将有着非常可观的市场应用前景。本研究提出了一种新型Pt NCs基抗菌整理剂的抗菌效果以及其在棉织物整理的最佳工艺。相比于传统的纳米银等抗菌剂,这种新型Pt NCs抗菌整理剂具有用量小、抗菌效果好的优点,为开发新型抗菌整理剂提供了具有价值的理论依据和支撑,同时也能补充无机抗菌剂的种类,丰富了纺织品在抗菌整理过程中的多种选择,具有一定的市场应用价值。

Rotation,Translation and Scale Invariant Sign Word Recognition Using Deep Learning

Communication between people with disabilities and people who do not understand sign language is a growing social need and can be a tedious *** of the main functions of sign language is to communicate with each other through hand *** of hand gestures has become an important challenge for the recognition of sign *** are many existing models that can produce a good accuracy,but if the model test with rotated or translated images,they may face some difficulties to make good performance *** resolve these challenges of hand gesture recognition,we proposed a Rotation,Translation and Scale-invariant sign word recognition system using a convolu-tional neural network(CNN).We have followed three steps in our work:rotated,translated and scaled(RTS)version dataset generation,gesture segmentation,and sign word ***,we have enlarged a benchmark dataset of 20 sign words by making different amounts of Rotation,Translation and Scale of the ori-ginal images to create the RTS version *** we have applied the gesture segmentation *** segmentation consists of three levels,i)Otsu Thresholding with YCbCr,ii)Morphological analysis:dilation through opening morphology and iii)Watershed ***,our designed CNN model has been trained to classify the hand gesture as well as the sign *** model has been evaluated using the twenty sign word dataset,five sign word dataset and the RTS version of these *** achieved 99.30%accuracy from the twenty sign word dataset evaluation,99.10%accuracy from the RTS version of the twenty sign word evolution,100%accuracy from thefive sign word dataset evaluation,and 98.00%accuracy from the RTS versionfive sign word dataset ***,the influence of our model exists in competitive results with state-of-the-art methods in sign word recognition.

Characterization of subgrade soil mixed with recycled asphalt pavement

Due to awareness to greener environment, use of recycled asphalt material has become popular in asphalt pavement industry. The use of recycled asphalt pavement （RAP） ma- terials in subgrade soil can be an additional scope of utilizing RAP. This study investigates the effect of RAP on the resilient modulus （MR） of subgrade soils mixed with RAP materials. Note that MR is the principal material input parameter for designing asphalt pavement using the recent mechanistic-empirical pavement design software. As a first step of the current study, different percentages of RAP and moisture were thoroughly mixed with subgrade soils. Then, the MR of these RAP mixed soils were determined using the AASHTO T 307 （1999） at different stress levels in the laboratory. Results show that the MR of RAP mixed soil increases with the applied deviatoric and bulk stresses, however, it is less sensitive to applied confining pressure. Use of RAP materials has made the soils stiff enough not to respond to the confining pressure. As expected, the MR value reaches a maximum at the optimum moisture content and increases linearly with RAP content. The MR values and characteristics of the RAP mixed subgrade soils, as determined by the current study, can be used for subgrade design and stabilization using RAP for better pavement design.

Possibilities of urban flood reduction through distributed-scale rainwater harvesting

Urban flooding in Chittagong City usually occurs during the monsoon season and a rainwater harvesting(RWH)system can be used as a remedial *** study examines the feasibility of rain barrel RWH system at a distributed scale within an urbanized area located in the northwestern part of Chittagong City that experiences flash flooding on a regular *** flood modeling,the storm water management model(SWMM)was employed with rain barrel low-impact development(LID)as a flood reduction *** Hydrologic Engineering Center's River Analysis System(HEC-RAS)inundation model was coupled with SWMM to observe the detailed and spatial extent of flood *** to SWMM simulated floods,the simulated inundation depth using remote sensing data and the HEC-RAS showed a reasonable match,i.e.,the correlation coefficients were found to be 0.70 and 0.98,***,using LID,i.e.,RWH,a reduction of 28.66%could be achieved for reducing flood ***,the study showed that 10%e60%imperviousness of the subcatchment area can yield a monthly RWH potential of 0.04e0.45 m3 from a square meter of rooftop *** model can be used for necessary decision making for flood reduction and to establish a distributed RWH system in the study area.

Development and Performance Study of Controlled Atmosphere for Fresh Tomato

Development of a controlled atmosphere (CA) plant and shelf-life of fresh tomatoes at different storage conditions were studied in this research. The controlled chamber (4.5' × 4.5' × 4.5') with supplement of 1% L-ascorbic acid as antioxidant source was constructed using locally available materials. Fresh tomatoes were kept with wrapping by low density polyethylene under refrigerated and CA storage conditions. The maximum shelf-life of fresh tomato was 42 days under CA condition and followed by 35 days in refrigeration condition. Though initial cost of controlled atmosphere was high but it resulted in maximum shelf life of tomato. However, CA condition retained the physiological changes namely, color change, TSS, and weight loss of fresh tomatoes than that of stored in refrigerated condition. From nutritional point of view, it was concluded that developed CA plant could be used to extend the shelf-life of fresh tomatoes with minimum physico-chemical changes throughout the storage period.

Electrical conductivity retention and electrochemical activity of CSA doped graphene/gold nanoparticle@ polyaniline composites

This paper reports the synthesis of CTAB mediated CSA doped PANI and GN/GNP@ PANI composite nanofibers. The as synthesized composite nanofibers were examined by TEM, SEM, XRD, Raman spectroscopy; UV–visible diffused reflectance spectroscopy and TGA. The CTAB mediated CSA doped composite nanofibers showed 59% higher DC electrical conductivity at ambient temperature than that of PANI,which might be due to the enhancement in the mobility of the charge carriers and reduction in hopping distance in the composite system. The CTAB mediated CSA doped composite nanofibers compared to PANI was observed to be showing enhanced DC electrical conductivity retention after various cycles of heating, suggesting an enhancement in thermal stability of the composite structure, which could be attributed to the synergistic effect of GN,GNP and PANI. Additionally, the composite nanofibers showed greater electrochemical activity and better capacitive performance and reduced optical bandgap than that of PANI.

Hydrothermal synthesis of triangular CeCO3OH particles and photoluminescence properties

Ru/CeO_2[RC] and Ru/CeO_2/ethylene glycol（EG） [RCE] nanoparticles were produced by performing a simple hydrothermal reaction at 200℃ for 24 h and found to have two distinct morphologies. The RC nanoparticles are phase pureCeO_2; triangular highly crystallineCeCO_3OH nanoparticles are formed from the solution containing EG under the same hydrothermal reaction conditions at p H 8.5. EG plays an important role in the formation of the triangularCeCO_3OH nanoparticles. The polycrystallineCeCO_3OH nanoparticles retain their triangular structure even after calcination at 600℃in air but are transformed into a pureCeO_2 phase. The room temperature photoluminescence of the RC and RCE nanoparticles and of RCE calcined at 600℃[RCE-600] was also investigated. It was found that the high crystallinity triangular RCE-600 sample exhibits the highest photoluminescence intensity.

Developing a scalable process is critical to manufacture conductive fabric for commercial *** paper describes a scalable coating process that is compatible with existing industrial finishing processes of *** this process,the fabric is continuously dipped in water-based metal salt and the reducing agent solution to impart conductive particles on the fiber *** 10 consecutive cycles of dip coating,the fabric shows 6Ω/*** *** process is tuned to minimize process cost and material cost,and maximize the durability of the *** paper also introduces an easy protective coating technique of the conductive fabric that improves the durability of the conductive fabric without sacrificing the comfort properties of textile fabrics such as breathability and *** encapsulated conductive fabric shows good air-permeability and it is 6.96 cm^(3)/cm^(2)/***,the conductivity of the encapsulated fabric is quite stable after four accelerated washing ***,the fabric remains conductive on the surfaces and is suitable for using as a conductive track and connectors.

Pocket Switched Networks(PSN)represent a particular remittent network for direct communication between the handheld mobile *** to traditional networks,there is no stable topology structure for PSN where the nodes observe the mobility model of human *** is a kind of Delay Tolerant Networks(DTNs)that gives a description to circulate information among the network nodes by the way of taking the benefit of transferring nodes from one area to *** its inception,there are several schemes for message routing in the infrastructure-less environment in which human mobility is only the best manner to exchange *** routing messages,PSN uses different techniques such asDistributed Expectation-Based Spatio-Temporal(DEBT)Epidemic(DEBTE),DEBT Cluster(DEBTC),and DEBT Tree(DEBTT).Understanding on how the network environment is affected for these routing strategies are the main motivation of this *** this paper,we have investigated the impact of network nodes,the message copies per transmission,and the overall carrying out of these routing *** simulator was used to analyze those techniques on the basis of delivery,overhead,and *** result of this task demonstrates that for a particular simulation setting,DEBTE is the best PSN routing technique among all,against DEBTC and DEBTT.
