An innovative in-flight glass melting technology with thermal plasmas was developed for the purpose of energy conservation and environment protection. In this study, modelling and experiments of argon-oxygen induction thermal plasmas were conducted to investigate the melting behaviour of granulated soda-lime glass powders injected into the plasma. A two-dimensional local thermodynamic equilibrium （LTE） model was performed to simulate the heat and momentum transfer between plasma and particle. Results showed that the particle temperature was strongly affected by the flow rate of carrier gas and the particle size of raw material. A higher flow rate of carrier gas led to lower particle temperature and less energy transferred to particles which resulted in lower vitrification. The incomplete melting of large particles was attributed to the lower central temperature of the particle caused by a larger heat capacity. The numerical analysis explained well the experimental results, which can provide valuable practical guidelines for the process control in the melting process for the glass industry.

Grass pea(Lathyrus sativus L.)is an imperative food crop cultured in dryland agricultural *** is a vital source of dietary protein to millions of populaces living in low-income countries in South-East Asia and *** study highlights the improvement of genomic properties and their application in marker-trait relationships for 17 yield-related characters in 400 grass pea genotypes from China and *** characters were assessed via 56 polymorphic markers using general linear model(GLm)(P+G+Q)and mixed linear model(mLm)(P+G+Q+K)in the tassel software based on the linkage disequilibrium and population structure *** structure analysis showed two major groups and one admixed group in the *** significant loci pairs of linkage disequilibrium(LD)mean value(D′)was 0.479.A total of 99 and 61 marker-trait associations in GLm and mLm models allied to the 17 traits were accepted at a 5%level of *** these markers,21 markers were associated with more than one trait;12 marker-trait associations passed the Bonferroni correction *** models found six markers C41936,C39067,C34100,C47146,C47638,and C43047 significantly associated with days to maturity,flower color,plant height,and seed per pod were detected in the Hebei and Liaoyang location(p≤0.01),and the interpretation rate(R^(2)value)11.2%to 43.6%.Conferring to the consequences,the association analysis methodology may operative system for quantitative,qualitative,and biochemical traits related to gene position mapping and support breeders in improving novel approaches for advancing the grass pea quality.

Composting presents a viable management solution for lignocellulose-rich municipal solid ***,our understanding about the microbial metabolic mechanisms involved in the biodegradation of lignocellulose,particularly in industrial-scale composting plants,remains *** study employed metaproteomics to compare the impact of upgrading from aerated static pile(ASP)to agitated bed(AB)systems on physicochemical parameters,lignocellulose biodegradation,and microbial metabolic pathways during largescale biowaste composting process,marking the first investigation of its *** degradation rates of lignocellulose including cellulose,hemicellulose,and lignin were significantly higher in AB(8.21%-32.54%,10.21%-39.41%,and 6.21%-26.78%)than those(5.72%-23.15%,7.01%-33.26%,and 4.79%-19.76%)in ASP at three thermal stages,*** AB system in comparison to ASP increased the carbohydrate-active enzymes(CAZymes)abundance and production of the three essential enzymes required for lignocellulose decomposition involving a mixture of bacteria and fungi(i.e.,Actinobacteria,Bacilli,Sordariomycetes and Eurotiomycetes).Conversely,ASP primarily produced exoglucanase andβ-glucosidase via fungi(i.e.,Ascomycota).moreover,AB effectively mitigated microbial stress caused by acetic acid accumulation by regulating the key enzymes involved in acetate conversion,including acetyl-coenzyme A synthetase and acetate ***,the AB upgraded from ASP facilitated the lignocellulose degradation and fostered more diverse functional microbial communities in large-scale *** findings offer a valuable scientific basis to guide the engineering feasibility and environmental sustainability for large-scale industrial composting plants for treating lignocellulose-rich *** findings have important implications for establishing green sustainable development models(e.g.,a circular economy based onmaterial recovery)and for achieving sustainable development goals.

microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors（PBRs） has emerged as a promising and sustainable approach to address various environmental and energy challenges, offering a multitude of benefits across diverse *** developments in microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors have contributed substantially to the development and optimization of sustainable bioprocesses. This review presents a comprehensive analysis of recent innovations and breakthroughs in the field of microalgae cultivation, with a specific focus on their application in photobioreactors, aimed at paving the way for a greener future. This study in-depth examines the advantages of microalgae cultivation in photobioreactors, concentrating on its effectiveness in wastewater treatment, CO2bioremediation, and the production of biofuels and high-value products. The review evaluates the effects of light,solar irradiation, temperature, nitrogen and phosphorus concentrations in culture media, CO2concentrations, and pH on microalgae growth performance, including specific growth and biomass productivity. The study also examines open systems like unstirred ponds, raceway ponds, and circular ponds and closed systems like horizontal tubular, vertical bubble-column, airlift, flat panel, and plastic-bag photobioreactors, comparing their pros and cons. To optimize microalgae cultivation, key factors in photobioreactor design, including photosynthetic efficiencies, light/dark（L/D） cycles, CO2concentrations, mass transfer, hydrodynamics behavior, and p H, are extensively investigated. In addition, the review outlines recent developments in large-scale photobioreactors and highlights the challenges and opportunities associated with photobioreactor scale-up and design parameter optimization, including genetic engineering and economic feasibility. multi-strain probiotics provide the most dependable approaches to improve health,immune response,and disease resistance in farmed *** the present study,we examined the effects of multi-species probiotics on the survival,growth,immune response,and disease resistance of rohu(Labeo rohita)*** hatched larvae from the day of first feeding(average weight of 0.003 g)were reared with multi-species probiotics having a combination of Bacillus subtilis(109 colony forming units(cfu)/mL)and Lactobacillus spp.(Lactobacillus plantarum,Lactobacillus buchneri-1011 cfu/mL)in water containing doses of 0(control-C),0.5 mL/L(treatment 1-T1),and 1.0 mL/L(treatment 2-T2)in triplicates for 90 *** the experiment,a challenge test was performed to assess the fish's resistance to pathogenic Aeromonas *** higher survival was recorded in larvae of treated groups(87%in T2 and 79%in T1)compared to the control(62%).Significantly higher growth performance(weight gain and specific growth rate—SGR)was shown by the probiotic-treated larval groups compared to the *** supplementation resulted in significantly higher counts of total viable colony(TVC)and lactic acid bacteria(LAB)in the *** immunological parameters(mucosal fold fattening,goblet cell abundance,expansion of lamina propria and enterocytes)of the gut were significantly better in probiotic-treated *** liver of treated fish showed irregular shape nuclei turning into regular shape and reducing spaces between the hepatic ***-treated fish had the highest post-challenge survival rate(90%)against *** *** erythrocytes of challenged fish treated with probiotics had significantly lower frequencies of various nuclear and cellular *** findings suggest that multi-species probiotic supplements could improve the survival,growth,health status,and immune response of rohu in the early stages of its development.

Spinel cubic ferrites have huge applications in me mory and high frequency *** the improvement of these modern devices,the magnetic coercivity,permeability,and dielectric properties of a ferrite are the important *** article focuses on improving the magnetic coercivity,magnetic permeability,and dielectric properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ferrites,where x=0.00,0.06,and *** X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),field emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEm),energy dispersive X-ray(EDX),vibrating sample magnetometer(VSm),and an impedance analyzer were used to characterize the structural,magnetic,and dielectric properties of the *** XRD patterns indicate the formation of spinel cubic structure of the samples with a secondary peak(EuFeO_(3))for Eu doped *** densities and porosities of the samples follow an inverse trend,where the doped samples’lattice parameters are increased with the increment of rare earth Eu *** FTIR analysis also proves the spinel cubic phase of the *** average grain size of the ferrites is obtained via FESEm images,and it is increased from 121 to 198 *** analysis confirms that doping of the Eu content also changes other hysteresis loop properties of Co_(0.2)Zn_(0.3)Ni_(0.5)Eu_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4) ***,the coercivity of the Eu doped samples is greater than that of the mother alloy(x=0.00).The EDX study shows that there is no impurity contamination in the *** permeability and dielectric measurements show an improved quality factor of the Eu-doped samples with low magnetic and dielectric *** dependent resistivity and impedance analysis also show the improved *** the observed properties of the samples,all the investigated ferrites might be strong candidates for potential applications in memory devices,magnetic sensors,and high frequency applications.

The development of superconducting joining technology for reacted magnesium diboride(mgB_(2))conductors remains a critical challenge for the advancement of cryogen-free mgB_(2)-based magnets for magnetic resonance imaging(mRI).Herein,the fabrication of superconducting joints using reacted carbon-doped multifilament mgB_(2)wires for mRI magnets is *** achieve successful superconducting joints,the powder-in-mold method was employed,which involved tuning the filament protection mechanism,the powder compaction pressure,and the heat treatment *** fabricated joints demonstrated clear superconducting-to-normal transitions in self-field,with effective magnetic field screening up to 0.5 T at 20 *** evaluate the interface between one of the mgB_(2)filaments and the mgB_(2)bulk within the joint,serial sectioning was conducted for the first time in this type of superconducting *** serial sectioning revealed space formation at the interface,potentially caused by the volume shrinkage associated with the mgB_(2)formation or the combined effect of the volume shrinkage and the different thermal expansion coefficients of the mgB_(2)bulk,the filament,the mold,and the sealing *** findings are expected to be pivotal in developing mgB_(2)superconducting joining technology for mRI magnet applications through interface engineering.

Host associated probiotics(HAPs)provide health benefits to the host when administered as dietary ***,a short-term probiotics application strategy has yet to be optimized.A 90-days study was conducted to evaluate the response of malaysian mahseer,Tor tambroides post larvae fed with basal diet enriched HAPs for 30-days,and its response following another 60-days feeding with only basal *** experimental diets(Enterococcus faecalis strain 2674(T1),Aeromonas *** A8-29(T2)and *** strain FC11682(T3))were prepared by spray-coating each HAPs on a basal diet at 1×108 CFU/g *** in growth performances,whole-body proximate and fatty acid composition,muscle morphometry,and gut morphology were *** showed that after 30 days,T3 fish produced highest *** HAP treatment groups showed better muscle distribution profile,improved fatty acid composition,and higher villus length,width and area,than control *** 90 days,the growth of T3 fish was still the *** distribution profile and villus growth were higher in HAP treatments,although only total n-6 PUFA,total mUFA,linoleic acids,and linolenic acids in HAP treated fish remained high after probiotics *** difference in whole-body proximate composition was observed in both 30 and 90 *** findings demonstrated that short-term application of HAPs at an early stage could be used to boost *** growth,with *** strain FC11682 showing the best efficacy.
