In recent years,growing interest has been focused on the field of cancer *** prevention by chemopreventive agents offers significant promise for re-ducing the incidence and mortality of *** agents may exerttheir effects either by blocking or metabolizing carcinogens or by inhibiting tumorcell *** important benefit of chemopreventive agents is their non-toxic ***,chemopreventive agents have recently been used forcancer treatment in combination with chemotherapeutics or radiotherapy,uncov-ering a novel strategy for cancer *** strategy opens a new avenue fromcancer prevention to cancer *** vitro and in vivo studies have demon-strated that chemopreventive agents could enhance the antitumor activity ofchemotherapeutics,improving the treatment *** evidence hasshown that chemopreventive agents potentiate the efficacy of chemotherapy andradiotherapy through the regulation of multiple signaling pathways,includingAkt,NF-kB,c-Myc,cyclooxygenase-2,apoptosis,and others,suggesting amultitargeted nature of chemopreventive ***,further in-depth mecha-nistic studies,in vivo animal experiments,and clinical trials are needed to investi-gate the effects of chemopreventive agents in combination treatment of cancerwith conventional cancer *** potent natural and synthetic chemo-preventive agents are also needed to improve the efficacy of mechanism-basedand targeted therapeutic strategies against cancer,which are likely to make asignificant impact on saving ***,we have briefly reviewed the role ofchemopreventive agents in cancer prevention,but most importantly,we havereviewed how they could be useful for cancer therapy in combination with con-ventional therapies.

Objective:To evaluate the antidiabetic and antioxidant potential of Emblica officinalis(***)fruit on normal and type 2 diabetic ***:Type 2 diabetes was induced into the male Long-Evans *** rats were divided into nine groups including control groups receiving water,type 2 diabetic controls,type 2 diabetic rats treated with glibenclamide(T2GT)and type 2diabetic rats treated with aqueous extract of fruit pulp of *** were fed orally for8 weeks with a single *** was collected by cutting the tail tip on 0 and 28 days and by decapitation on 56 *** red blood cells and serum were used for evaluating different biochemical ***:Four weeks administration of aqueous extract of *** improved oral glucose tolerance in type 2 rats and after 8 weeks it caused significant(P<0.007)reduction in fasting serum glucose level compared to 0 *** decreased by 14%but there was no significant change in serum ALT,creatinine,cholesterol and insulin level in any ***,reduced erythrocyte malondialdehyde level showed no significant change(P<0.07)but reduced glutathione content was found to be increased significantly(P<0.05).Conclusions:The aqueous extract of *** has a promising antidiabetic and antioxidant properties and may be considered for further clinical studies in drug development.

In irrigated agricultural systems,nitrogen(N)and water are the vital resources for sustainability of the crop production in the modern era of climate *** current study aimed to assess the impact of water and N management on the productivity of irrigated rice *** the context,a field observation was done at the research farm of Bangladesh Agricultural University,Mymensingh,during dry seasons in consecutive two years(2018–2019 and 2019–2020).The experiments were set up following split-plot design assigning water management in the main plots,nitrogen management in the sub-plots,and the cultivars were approved in the split-split plot with three *** two years observation,it was revealed that rice cultivar Binadhan-8 gave the maximum value of leaf area index,number effective tillers hill-1 and grains panicle-1 which lead to the higher grain yield(GY).Substantial relationships were observed among the concentration of N,growth,total dry matter(TDM)and N content,N uptake,N utilization effectiveness,and ***,with little exception,the Combined effect of water and N,cultivars and water management were varied significantly for all ***,the results of the current study concluded that application of irrigation at 8 days after the disappearance of ponded water and source of 105 kg N ha-1 from PU+Poultry manure are the best management approach for the excellent performance of rice cultivar Binadhan-8.

Biochar,an environmentally friendly soil conditioner,is produced using several thermochemical *** has unique characteristics like high surface area,porosity,and surface *** paper reviews the fertilizer value of biochar,and its effects on soil properties,and nutrient use efficiency of *** serves as an important source of plant nutrients,especially nitrogen in biochar produced from manures and wastes at low temperature(≤400℃).The phosphorus,potassium,and other nutrient contents are higher in manure/waste biochars than those in crop residues and woody *** nutrient contents and pH of biochar are positively correlated with pyrolysis temperature,except for nitrogen *** improves the nutrient retention capacity of soil,which depends on porosity and surface charge of *** increases nitrogen retention in soil by reducing leaching and gaseous loss,and also increases phosphorus availability by decreasing the leaching process in ***,for potassium and other nutrients,biochar shows inconsistent(positive and negative)impacts on *** addition of biochar,porosity,aggregate stability,and amount of water held in soil increase and bulk density ***,biochar increases soil pH and,thus,influences nutrient availability for *** also alters soil biological properties by increasing microbial populations,enzyme activity,soil respiration,and microbial ***,nutrient use efficiency and nutrient uptake improve with the application of biochar to ***,biochar can be a potential nutrient reservoir for plants and a good amendment to improve soil properties.

Because of the scarcity of clean water,treated wastewater potentially provides an alternative source for *** the present experiment,the feasibility of using low-cost filtered municipal wastewater in the irrigation of red amaranth(Amaranthus tricolor L ***)cultivation was *** collected municipal wastewater from fish markets,hospitals,clinics,sewage,and kitchens of households in Sylhet City,Bangladesh were mixed and filtered with nylon *** filtration methods were applied using the following materials:sand(T_(1));sand and wood charcoal consecutively(T_(2));sand,wood charcoal and rice husks consecutively(T_(3));sand,wood charcoal,rice husks and sawdust consecutively(T_(4));sand,wood charcoal,rice husks,sawdust and brick chips consecutively(T_(5));and sand,wood charcoal,rice husks,sawdust,brick chips and gravel consecutively(T_(6)).The water from ponds and rivers was considered as the control treatment(T_(o)).The chemical properties and heavy metals content of the water were determined before and after the low cost filtering,and the effects of the wastewater on seed germination,plant growth and the accumulation rate of heavy metals by plants were *** filtration,the pH,EC and TDS ranged from 5.87 to 9.17,292 to 691 μS cm^(-1) and 267 to 729 mg L^(-1),*** EC and TDS were in an acceptable level for use in irrigation,satisfying the recommendations of the ***,select pH values were unsuitable for *** metal concentrations decreased after applying each *** reduction of Fe,Mn,Pb,Cu,As and Zn were 73.23%,92.69%,45.51%,69.57%,75.47%and 95.06%,*** we considered the individual filtering material,the maximum amount of As and Pb was absorbed by sawdust;Cu and Zn by wood charcoal;Mn and Cu by sand and Fe by *** the six filtration treatments,T_(5) showed the highest seed germination(67.14%),similar to the control T0(77.14%).The healthy plants/pot ratio(93.62%)was significantly higher

The performance of Rayleigh fading channels is substantially impacted by the impacts of relays, antennas, and the number of branches. Opportunistic relaying is a potent technique for enhancing the effects of the aforementioned factors while enhancing the performance of fading channels. Due to these issues, a secure wireless multicasting scenario using opportunistic relaying over Rayleigh fading channel in the presence of multiple wiretappers is taken into consideration in this study. So the investigation of a secure wireless multicasting scenario using opportunistic relaying over Rayleigh fading channel in the presence of multiple wiretappers is the focus of this paper. The primary goals of this study are to maximize security in wireless multicasting while minimizing security loss caused by the effects of relays, branches at destinations and wiretappers, as well as multicast users and wiretappers through opportunistic relaying. To comprehend the insight effects of prior parameters, the closed form analytical expressions are constructed for the probability of non-zero secrecy multicast capacity (PNSMC), ergodic secrecy multicast capacity (ESMC), and secure outage probability for multicasting (SOPM). The findings demonstrate that opportunistic relaying is a successful method for reducing the loss of security in multicasting.

Assessment of soil organic matter fractions can be instrumental in understanding the causes of limited nitrogen supply, and thus soil fertility restoration. A study was conducted in cultivated and uncultivated saline soil, in order to assay soil organic carbon (SOC), its particle-size fractions and their influence on cultivation and soil fertility at Sundarbans costal area in Bangladesh. Soil samples were taken from the 0 - 15 and 15 - 30 cm depths from four cultivated fields and from four nearby sites in a native mangrove forest as references. Soil samples were physically fractionated into sand (2000-50 μm), silt (50-2 μm) and clay ( silt > sand. The SOC pool and N in the clay-sized fraction were correlated to soil fertility indicators. More N was stored in the silt + clay size fractions, a generally more stable pool, than in the more labile sand-sized pool. The SOC pool in sand size fractions was far below in cultivated soils than in a reference uncultivated soil. Thus, the sand-sized pool emerged as the most likely cause of limited N supply in cultivated soils.

The effects of scatterers, fluctuation parameter and propagation clusters significantly affect the performance of κ-μ shadowed fading channel. On the other hand, opportunistic relaying is an efficient technique to improve the performance of fading channels reducing the effects of aforementioned parameters. Motivated by these issues, in this paper, a secure wireless multicasting scenario through κ-μ shadowed fading channel is considered in the presence of multiple eavesdroppers with opportunistic relaying. The main purpose of this paper is to ensure the security level in wireless multicasting compensating the loss of security due to the effects of power ratio between dominant and scattered waves, fluctuation parameter, and the number of propagation clusters, multicast users and eavesdroppers, by opportunistic relaying technique. The closed-form analytical expressions are derived for the probability of non-zero secrecy multicast capacity (PNSMC) and the secure outage probability for multicasting (SOPM) to understand the insight of the effects of above parameters. The results show that the loss of security in multicasting through κ-μ shadowed fading channel can be significantly enhanced using opportunistic relaying technique by compensating the effects of scatterers, fluctuation parameter, and the number of propagation clusters, multicast users and eavesdroppers.
