Design and Numerical Analysis of Ultra-High Negative Dispersion, Highly Birefringent Nonlinear Single Mode Core-Tune Photonic Crystal Fiber (CT-PCF) over Communication Bands

This paper presents the development of a highly efficient CT-PCF (Core-Tune Photonic Crystal Fiber) with substantial birefringence, tailored for applications in high-bit-rate communication and sensing while minimizing signal loss. The design incorporates a modified broadband dispersion compensating structure, optimized for operation across the E, S, C, and L communication bands within a wavelength range spanning 1360 nm to 1625 nm. Notably, the CT-PCF demonstrates a remarkable birefringence of 2.372 × 10-2 at 1550 nm, surpassing traditional PCF structures. Single-mode performance is evaluated using the Higher Order Mode Extinction Ratio (HOMER) method, revealing a peak HOMER value of 104 at 1550 nm. Furthermore, at 1550 nm, the CT-PCF exhibits exceptional nonlinear characteristics, featuring a high nonlinearity of 50.74 W-1⋅Km-1 for y polarization. In comparison to existing designs, the proposed CT-PCF exhibits superior performance metrics and optical characteristics. Additionally, the y polarization dispersion coefficient of the CT-PCF at 1550 nm is measured at -3534 ps/(nm⋅km). Overall, the CT-PCF represents a significant advancement, outperforming established systems in terms of performance metrics and optical properties.

Light-driven dry reforming of methane toward syngas presents a proper solution for alleviating climate change and for the sustainable supply of transportation fuels and ***,Rh/InGaN_(1-x)O_(x) nanowires supported by silicon wafer are explored as an ideal platform for loading Rh nanoparticles,thus assembling a new nanoarchitecture for this grand *** combination with the remarkable photothermal synergy,the O atoms in Rh/InGaN_(1-x)O_(x) can significantly lower the apparent activation energy of dry reforming of methane from 2.96 eV downward to 1.70 *** as-designed Rh/InGaN_(1-x)O_(x) NWs nanoarchitecture thus demonstrates a measurable syngas evolution rate of 180.9 mmol g_(cat)^(-1) h^(-1) with a marked selectivity of 96.3% under concentrated light illumination of 6 W cm^(-2).What is more,a high turnover number(TON)of 4182 mol syngas per mole Rh has been realized after six reuse cycles without obvious activity *** correlative 18O isotope labeling experiments,in-situ irradiated X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(ISI-XPS)and in-situ diffuse reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy characterizations,as well as density functional theory calculations reveal that under light illumination,Rh/InGaN_(1-x)O_(x) NWs facilitate releasing^(*)CH_(3) and H^(+)from CH_(4) by holes,followed by H_(2) evolution from H^(+)reduction with ***,the O atoms in Rh/InGaN_(1-x)O_(x) can directly participate in CO generation by reacting with the ^(*)C species from CH_(4) dehydrogenation and contributes to the coke elimination,in concurrent formation of O *** resultant O vacancies are then replenished by CO_(2),showing an ideal chemical *** work presents a green strategy for syngas production via light-driven dry reforming of methane.

Viscous and Joules Dissipation on MHD Flow past a Stretching Porous Surface Embedded in a Porous Medium

This paper investigates the influence of both viscous and joules dissipation on the problem of magneto-hydrodynamic flow past a stretching porous surface embedded in a porous medium for rotating case. Using similarity approach the system of partial differential equations is transformed into ordinary differential equations which strongly depend on the magnetic parameter, stretching parameter, rotation parameter, permeability parameter and Prandtl number. The coupled differential equations are numerically simulated using the Nactsheim-Swigert shooting technique together with Runge-Kutta six order iteration schemes. The velocity and temperature profiles are discussed and presented graphically. The comparisons for dimensionless skin friction coefficient and local Nusselt number are also taken into account and discussed and presented graphically.

A Production Inventory Model of Constant Production Rate and Demand of Level Dependent Linear Trend

The proposed model considers the products with finite shelf-life which causes a small amount of decay. The market demand is assumed to be level dependent and in a linear form. The model has also considered the constant production rate which stops attaining a desired level of inventories and that is the highest level of inventories. Production starts with a buffer stock and without any sort of backlogs. Due to the market demand and product’s decay, the inventory reduces to the level of buffer stock where again the production cycle starts. With a numerical search procedure the proof of the proposed model has been shown. The objective of the model is to obtain the total average optimum inventory cost and optimum ordering cycle.

This paper considers a model regarding the products with finite life which allows defective items in reproduction and causes a small amount of decay. The market demand is assumed to be level dependent linear type. The model has also considered the constant production rate which stops after a desired level of inventories and that is the highest level of it. Due to the market demand, defective item and product’s decay, the inventory reduces to the zero level where again the production cycle starts. With a numerical search procedure, the proof of the proposed model has been shown. The objective of the proposed model is to find out the total optimum inventory cost, optimum ordering cost and optimum ordering cycle.

A Time Dependent Inventory Model for Exponential Demand Rate with Constant Production Where Shelf-Life of the Product Is Finite

In this paper a time dependent inventory model is developed on the basis of constant production rate and market demands which are exponentially decreasing. It advances in quest of total average optimum cost considering those products which have finite shelf-life. The model also considers the small amount of decay. Without having any sort of backlogs, production starts. Reaching at the desired level of inventories, it stops production. After that due to demands along with the deterioration of the items it initiates its depletion and after certain periods the inventory gets zero. The decay of the products is level dependent. The objective of this paper is to find out the optimum inventory cost and optimum time cycle. The model has also been justified with proving the convex property and by giving a numerical example.
