The uncertainty in solar energy is different from conventional,dispatchable generation fuels and difficult to incorporate into the standard system operating *** the first part of this work,the machine learning algorithm is used to train models based on solar irradiance data and different meteorological weather information to predict the solar irradiance for different cities to validate the forecasting ***,the intermittent and inertialess nature of photovoltaic(PV)systems can produce significant power oscillations that can cause significant problems with dynamic stability of the power system and also limit the penetration capacity of PV into the *** the second part,it is shown that the residue-based power oscillation damping(POD)controller obviously improves the inter-area oscillation *** validity and effectiveness of the proposed controller are demonstrated on the three-machine two-area test system that combines the conventional synchronous generator and flexible alternating current transmission systems(FACTS)device using *** report overall puts an in-depth analysis with regard to the challenges of solar resources with integrating,planning,operating,and particularly the stability of the rest of the power grid,including existing generation resources,customer requirements,and the transmission system itself that will lead to an improved decision making in resource allocations and grid stability.

A novel (G'/G)-expansion method and its application to the Boussinesq equation

In this article, a novel （G＇/G）-expansion method is proposed to search for the traveling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations. We construct abundant traveling wave solutions involving parameters to the Boussinesq equation by means of the suggested method. The performance of the method is reliable and useful, and gives more general exact solutions than the existing methods. The new （G＇/G）-expansion method provides not only more general forms of solutions but also cuspon, peakon, soliton, and periodic waves.

Copper and Mercury in Food, Biological and Pharmaceutical Samples: Spectrophotometric Estimation as Cu(DDTC)<sub>2</sub>

An alternative spectrophotometric method was optimized and validated for the estimation of mercury using diethyldithiocarbamate (DDTC), a common reagent, widely used for the preconcentration and isolation of metal ions in complex matrices followed by their estimation by varied techniques. Diethyldithiocarbamate forms yellow Cu(DDTC)2 with copper and white Hg(DDTC)2 with mercury (having d10 system) which are extracted in CCl4. The UV-visible spectrum of Cu(DDTC)2 is very stable at pH 5.0 and has a maximum absorption (λmax) at 435 nm. Hg(DDTC)2 is more stable than Cu(DDTC)2. Estimation of mercury is based on a quantitative displacement of Cu(II) of Cu(DDTC)2 with the addition of mercury followed by the measurement of reduced absorbance. Primarily, method was optimized and validated for the estimation of copper. Therefore, simultaneous determination of Cu(II) and Hg(II) in mixture is proposed fractionating the extract. The molar specific coefficient (ε) for the mercury was 1.4 × 104 mol﹣1·L·cm﹣1 and for copper was 3.16 × 105 mol﹣1·L·cm﹣1 at 435 nm. The detection limits of Cu2+ and Hg2+ were 0.023 μg·mL﹣1 and 0.029 μg·mL﹣1, respectively. The calibration curve shows good linearity of 0.02 - 12.0 and 0.02 - 15.0 μg·mL﹣1 for the Cu2+ and Hg2+ determination, respectively. Proposed technique was applied to food, biological and pharmaceutical samples for the determination of Cu(II) and Hg(II).

Exact traveling wave solutions to higher order nonlinear equations

The present paper applies the new generalized(G/G)-expansion method on three non-linear equations including the fifth-order Korteweg-de Vries equation,(3+1)-dimensional Modified KdV-Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation,and(3+1)-dimensional Jimbo-Miwa equations and obtains some new exact traveling wave *** solutions are checked by putting back into the physical model and are observed to be very advantageous over several existing *** newly method could also be utilized to find exact traveling wave solutions for the other nonlinear evolution equations in the field of applied nonlinear sciences.

Numerical Study of Unsteady Behavior of Partial Cavitation on Two Dimensional Hydrofoils

This paper deals with time dependent performance characteristics of cavitating hydrofoils, the flow around which has been simulated using pressure-based finite volume method. A bubble dynamics cavitation model was used to investigate the unsteady behavior of cavitating flow and describe the generation and evaporation of vapor phase. For choosing the turbulence model and mesh size a non cavitating study was conducted. Three turbulence models such as Spalart-Allmaras, Shear Stress Turbulence (SST) k-ω model, Re-Normalization Group (RNG) k-ε model with enhanced wall treatment are used to capture the turbulent boundary layer along the hydrofoil surface. The cavitating study presents an unsteady behavior of the partial cavity attached to the foil at different time steps for σ = 0.8 and σ = 0.4. Moreover, this study is focused on cavitation inception, the shape and general behavior of sheet cavitation, lift and drag forces for different cavitation numbers.

The filler-bitumen interaction mechanism is one of the most essential phases for comprehending the asphalt mixture's ***,despite numerous studies,in-depth knowledge of filler-bitumen reciprocity at a microscale level is yet to be *** goal of this research is to gain a better understanding of the fillerbitumen microscale interaction in terms of the synergy and coaction between the physicochemical and rheological performance of mastics due to filler *** rheological properties of two sustainable mastics,dolomite powder(DP)and lime kiln dust(LKD),together with a neat PEN 60/70 binder,were analysed based on a temperature sweep at elevated temperature ***,frequency sweep and multiple stress creep recovery(MSCR)tests were also conducted at pavement serviceability temperature using the dynamic shear rheometer(DSR).Physicochemical tests using a scanning electron microscope(SEM)and energy dispersive X-rays(EDX)were conducted to analyse the impact of parameters such as particle shape,grain size,texture,and chemical *** DSR test results showcased how the incorporation of fillers in asphalt binder considerably improved the performance of the binder in terms of rutting and ***,its strain and nonrecoverable compliance parameters were substantially reduced at higher filler and binder *** filler attributes of low rigden voids(R.V),high fineness modulus(FM),and high specific surface area(SSA)led to greater interfacial stiffness and elasticity in LKD mastics compared to DP mastics at different loading frequencies and temperature *** SEM/EDX results also indicated that the elemental calcium and carbon composition of each filler component,together with its grain morphology,strongly influenced its rheological performance.

New Generalized (G'/G)-Expansion Method Applications to Coupled Konno-Oono Equation

The new generalized (G'/G)-expansion method is one of the powerful and competent methods that appear in recent time for establishing exact solutions to nonlinear evolution equations (NLEEs). We apply the new generalized (G'/G)-expansion method to solve exact solutions of the new coupled Konno-Oono equation and construct exact solutions expressed in terms of hyperbolic functions, trigonometric functions, and rational functions with arbitrary parameters. The significance of obtained solutions gives credence to the explanation and understanding of related physical phenomena. As a newly developed mathematical tool, this method efficiency for finding exact solutions has been demonstrated through showing its straightforward nature and establishing its ability to handle nonlinearities prototyped by the NLEEs whether in applied mathematics, physics, or engineering contexts.

Synthesis, Spectral Characterization and Thermal Behavior of Newly Derived La(III), Co(III) and Mn(II) Complexes with Schiff Base Derived from Methionine and Salicylaldehyde

Many metal complexes of Schiff base derived from different amino acids are widely employed as biologically active materials, especially as antibacterial agents. Three new metal [Co(III), Mn(II) and La(III)] complexes with the Schiff base (L) derived from salicylaldehyde and amino acid (methionine) were synthesized and investigated by using various physico-chemical techniques such as elemental analysis, FTIR, UV-visible spectroscopy, magnetic measurement, thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA) and X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) method. From spectral studies, it has been concluded that the synthesized ligand acts as a tetra-dentate molecule, coordinates metal through azomethine nitrogen, sulfur, phenolic oxygen and carboxylate oxygen. UV-visible spectrophotometry showed the characteristic absorption bands corresponding to a square planar geometry for La(III) and Mn(II) metal complexes and tetrahedral geometry for Co(III) complex. The XRD data demonstrated that the manganese and cobalt complexes were crystalline but the lanthanum complex was amorphous in nature. The empirical formula of the synthesized complexes based on analytical data were [Co(C12H13SNO3)]·(NO3), [La(C12H13SNO3)](Cl)(H2O) and [Mn (C12H13SNO3)].

Exact Traveling Wave Solutions for the (1 + 1)-Dimensional Compound KdVB Equation via the Novel (G'/G)-Expansion Method

In this work, while applying a new and novel (G'/G)-expansion version technique, we identify four families of the traveling wave solutions to the (1 + 1)-dimensional compound KdVB equation. The exact solutions are derived, in terms of hyperbolic, trigonometric and rational functions, involving various parameters. When the parameters are tuned to special values, both solitary, and periodic wave models are distinguished. State of the art symbolic algebra graphical representations and dynamical interpretations of the obtained solutions physics are provided and discussed. This in turn ends up revealing salient solutions features and demonstrating the used method efficiency.

Assessment of Different Traits to Evaluate Genetic Divergence in Some Wheat (<i>Triticum aestivum</i>L.) Genotypes under Late Sowing Condition

The research work was undertaken to identify the extent of genetic diversity in different parameters of wheat related to heat tolerance mechanism. Performances of currently available 25 spring wheat genotypes were studied at the Regional Wheat Research Institute, Shyampur, Rajshahi during the winter season of 2016/2017. All these genotypes (25) were grouped into five clusters on the basis of non-hierarchical clustering parameters viz. cluster I (G2, G5, G6, G16, G20), II (G4, G7, G9, G11, G12, G17), III (G10, G24), IV (G1, G13, G19, G21) and V (G3, G8, G14, G15, G18, G22, G23, G25). These groups were arranged into five (5) pairs of clusters viz. cluster I and III;II and III;II and V;III and IV;IV and V considering their similar potentiality of different traits. Results revealed that the maximum number of genotypes (8) was found in cluster V while cluster III comprised minimum genotypes (2). The inter-cluster distance was higher than intra-cluster distances. The highest and second highest eigenvalues belonged to spike/m2 (25.23%) and spikelets/spike (20.18%) respectively, along with positive canonical values in both the vectors 1 and 2 for these two traits identified them as major traits by exposing their highest potential toward genetic divergence. Cluster III produced the highest spike/m2 (388.8), grain/spike (48.1), plant height (89.5 cm), SPAD (54.2), yield (2799 kg/ha) and biomass (7758.1 Kg/ha) with lowest heading days (64.7 days), maturity days (98.7 days), canopy temperature at vegetative stage (21.7°C) and canopy temperature at grain filling stage (22.4°C).
