Drought is one of the critical limitations to agricultural soils and crop *** of water is increasing due to climate change that lead to increasing threats to global food ***,ecofriendly and cost effective strategies are highly desirable for mitigating drought stress along with sustainable and smart agricultural *** aim of the study was to mitigate DS using seed priming and exogenous supplementation ofβ-aminobutyric acid(BABA)in linseed(Linum usitatissimum L.).Different doses(0,50,100 and 150μM)of BABA were used for seed priming agent and foliar spraying under three soil moisture levels viz.,25%(SM25),45%(SM45)and 65%(SM65).The response variables of both experiments included different agro-botanical traits and oxidative stress indicators such as melondialdehyde content,free proline accumulation,and antioxidant defense in *** linseed plants showed water stress at SM25 that reduced plant height,number of branches per plant,time taken to flower initiation and heading,and root and shoot dry ***,the number of capsules and seeds per capsule showed a significant decline at SM25,which led to a drastic reduction in 100-seed weight yield in linseed plants in both ***,seed priming and foliar supplementation with of BABA(50–100μM)significantly improved these morpho-agronomical attributes in linseed plants under *** results revealed that the BABA was fully active in linseed plants at ***,the combination of SM25 with BABA significantly improved the antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),ascorbate peroxidase(APX),and peroxidase(POD)activity,which significantly enhanced DS tolerance in linseed *** findings might be useful to oil seed breeders and farmers linseed for breeding program in linseed plants as well as sustainable agricultural production of oil seed crop plants.

为探讨南方双季稻区超级稻高产栽培技术,于2008—2010年在湖南长沙和浏阳以超级早稻陆两优996、陵两优268和超级晚稻天优华占、丰源优299为材料进行大田定位试验,比较了"三定"栽培、免耕摆栽和传统栽培下双季超级稻的产量形成特点和生理特性。与传统栽培相比,"三定"栽培齐穗期的颖花伤流量、根系氧化力、根冠比、叶面积指数及籽粒结实期剑叶的光合速率较高,齐穗后剑叶SPAD值下降缓慢、干物质积累量大,有效穗数和每穗粒数多,早季平均产量为7.18thm-2,增产11.68%,晚季平均产量为8.39thm-2,增产7.41%;免耕摆栽干物质积累量大、有效穗数多,但其收获指数、每穗粒数和结实率居劣势,使其单季增产效果不显著。由此可见,南方双季超级稻在"三定"栽培下后期生理优势明显,产量构成因子协调,增产效果显著。

Cloud computing is a kind of computing that depends on shared figuring assets instead of having nearby servers or individual gadgets to deal with applications. Technology is moving to the cloud more and more. It’s not just a trend, the shift away from ancient package models to package as service has steadily gained momentum over the last ten years. Looking forward, the following decade of cloud computing guarantees significantly more approaches to work from anyplace, utilizing cell phones. Cloud computing focused on better performances, better scalability and resource consumption but it also has some security issue with the data stored in it. The proposed algorithm intents to come with some solutions that will reduce the security threats and ensure far better security to the data stored in cloud.

Phytocompounds of Anonna muricata leaves extract and cytotoxic effects on breast cancer cells

Objective: To identify the phytochemical compounds from Annona muricata(A. muricata) and to determine their in vitro anti-proliferative activities against breast cancer cells, MCF7 and md.-MB-231. Methods: A. muricata leaves were successively extracted by soxhlet method using n-hexane, ethyl acetate and methanol, and decocted with water. Each extract was analysed by gas chromatography mass spectrometry(GCMS) and characterized with Wiley and NIST library searches. Anti-proliferative activity of each extract was evaluated on MCF7 and md.-MB-231 breast cancer cells using MTT assay. Results: The GCMS analysis of different solvent extracts of A. muricata leaves showed presence of different chemical groups of compounds such as steroids, terpenoids, phenolic compounds, sugars, sugars alcohol and others including vitamin E. Ethyl acetate leaves extract exhibited the lowest IC_(50) value on the md.-MB-231 breast cancer cell and n-hexane leaves extract showed the the lowest IC_(50) value on the MCF-7 breast cancer cell. Conclusion: Steroids and phenolic compounds were the main phytocompound groups identified from all A. muricata leaves extracts. The antiproliferative activity of n-hexane and ethyl acetate extract towards breast cancer MCF7 and md.-MB-231 respectively might be due to the presence of biologically active compounds in the extracts, hence, providing some scientific evidences of the effectiveness of its traditional usages.

Structural, elastic and electronic properties for M_2 XC (M=Ti and Cr, X=Ga and Al) phases from ab initio calculations

The first-principles study of the structural, elastic and electronic properties of the M2XC phases depending on the type of M transition metal （M are Ti and Cr） and on X （X are Ga and A1） was reported. The calculations are performed using the pseudo-potential plane-wave approach in both the local density and generalized gradient approximations. The elastic constants are calculated using the static finite strain technique. Features such as structural and elastic parameters, Debye tem- perature, sound velocities and their pressure dependence have been investigated. In agreement with experimental and previous theoretical findings, it is found that the compressibility along a and c axis depends on the valence electron concentration （VEC）. Correlations revealing the governing role of the X and M elements on the machinability indices of the material have been examined. The electronic properties have been discussed in terms of chemical bonding showing that bonding is due to md.Cp and md.Xp hybridizations. M-C bonds are stiffer than M-X ones and A1-Ti （Cr-C） bonds are stiffer than those corresponding to Ti-C （A1-Cr）. It is shown that the stiffness of the M-X and M-C bonds increases with increasing the number of VEC.

Changing paradigms in lower extremity reconstruction in war-related injuries

Background: Ballistic high-energy trauma has substantially increased the severity of non-fatal extremity injuries incurred in modern warfare. Expedient medical care, refinement in surgical techniques, and soft tissue coverage have brought about a paradigm shift in the management of lower extremity wounds during the last decade with an increased emphasis on limb ***: A literature-based study was conducted to analyze reconstructive modalities based on the location, depth, and severity of wounds, as well as mechanism of injury, concomitant vascular injuries and open fractures, choice of flap, timing of definitive reconstruction, and ***: Extremity injuries account for over 60% of injuries in the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, with the majority secondary to explosive devices. The severity of these injuries is profound compared with civilian registries, and conventional injury scoring systems have failed to accurately predict outcomes in combat trauma. The mainstay of treatment is serial debridement, negative pressure therapy, fracture stabilization, and treatment of concomitant injuries by the forward medical teams with subsequent definitive reconstruction after transport to an advanced military treatment facility. Autologous reconstruction with free tissue transfer and pedicled flaps remains the primary modality for soft tissue coverage in limb salvage. Adjunct innovative modalities, such as external tissue expansion, dermal substitutes, and regenerative matrices, have also been successfully utilized for limb ***: Lower extremity injuries account for the vast majority of injuries in modern warzones. Explosive devices represent the most common mechanism of injury, with blast impact leading to extensive soft tissue injuries necessitating complex reconstructive strategies. Petroleum supplies a large portion of the world’s energy, thereby driving industrial civilization. It remains an important factor in dictating market prices of diverse products and services. Distillation of crude oil is a common fractionation method of petroleum producing desirable products, such as automotive fuel and kerosene. Conventional distillation has been the current fractionation process for decades, producing distillates of interest and is conducted without any involvement of biological materials. The process involves tremendous amount of thermal energy and requiring a long time. This research offers an improved distillation performance and yield. A small amount of rhamnolipid produced from a microbial culture Pseudomonas aeruginosa USM-AR2, is added and mixed thoroughly with the crude oil prior to distillation. This results in a drastic reduction in distillation time without affecting or reducing the quality of the distillate. The pretreatment accelerates the emulsification and biodegradation process by decreasing surface tension and viscosity of oil, which in turn resulted in the shorter distillation times. Reducing the distillation times translates to energy and cost savings in producing petroleum products. Since oil prices affect many other industries, this discovery will have a great impact on the economy.

Melting and second order slip effect on convective flow of nanofluid past a radiating stretching/shrinking sheet

A mathematical model is presented for forced convective slip flow of a nanofluid past a radiating stretching/shrinking *** boundary condition is taken into *** nanofluid model involves the Brownian motion and thermophoresis *** group transformation is used to the transport equations as well as the boundary conditions to develop the similarity equations,before being solved numerically using the Runge-Kutta-Fehlberg fourth-fifth order numerical *** show the effects of the controlling parameters on the dimensionless velocity,temperature,nanoparticle volume fraction,skin friction factor,local Nusselt,and local Sherwood numbers,numerical results are presented both in graphical and tabular *** is found that the friction factor decreases with slip and melting parameters for both stretching/shrinking *** is also found that the Nusselt number decreases with the first order slip while it increases with melting and radiation parameters in both ***,the Sherwood number decreases with the melting parameter both for radiating and non-radiating stretching/shrinking *** excellent agreement is found between the present numerical results and published results.
