Rotation,Translation and Scale Invariant Sign Word Recognition Using Deep Learning

Communication between people with disabilities and people who do not understand sign language is a growing social need and can be a tedious *** of the main functions of sign language is to communicate with each other through hand *** of hand gestures has become an important challenge for the recognition of sign *** are many existing models that can produce a good accuracy,but if the model test with rotated or translated images,they may face some difficulties to make good performance *** resolve these challenges of hand gesture recognition,we proposed a Rotation,Translation and Scale-invariant sign word recognition system using a convolu-tional neural network(CNN).We have followed three steps in our work:rotated,translated and scaled(RTS)version dataset generation,gesture segmentation,and sign word ***,we have enlarged a benchmark dataset of 20 sign words by making different amounts of Rotation,Translation and Scale of the ori-ginal images to create the RTS version *** we have applied the gesture segmentation *** segmentation consists of three levels,i)Otsu Thresholding with YCbCr,ii)Morphological analysis:dilation through opening morphology and iii)Watershed ***,our designed CNN model has been trained to classify the hand gesture as well as the sign *** model has been evaluated using the twenty sign word dataset,five sign word dataset and the RTS version of these *** achieved 99.30%accuracy from the twenty sign word dataset evaluation,99.10%accuracy from the RTS version of the twenty sign word evolution,100%accuracy from thefive sign word dataset evaluation,and 98.00%accuracy from the RTS versionfive sign word dataset ***,the influence of our model exists in competitive results with state-of-the-art methods in sign word recognition.

Genome-wide identification,characterization and functional prediction of the SRS gene family in sesame(Sesamum indicum L.)

Sesame(Sesamum indicum L.)is an ancient oilseed crop of the Pedaliaceae family with high oil content and potential health *** RELATED SEQUENCE(SRS)proteins are the transcription factors(TFs)specific to plants that contain RING-like zinc finger domain and are associated with the regulation of several physiological and biochemical *** also play vital roles in plant growth and development such as root formation,leaf development,floral development,hormone biosynthesis,signal transduction,and biotic and abiotic stress ***,the SRS gene family was not reported in sesame *** this study,identification,molecular characterization,phylogenetic relationship,cis-acting regulatory elements,protein-protein interaction,syntenic relationship,duplication events and expression pattern of SRS genes were analyzed in *** identified total six SiSRS genes on seven different linkage groups in the *** genome by comparing with the other species,including the model plant Arabidopsis *** SiSRS genes showed variation in their structure like2–5 exons and 1–4 *** other species,SiSRS proteins also contained‘RING-like zinc finger'and‘LRP1'***,the SiSRS genes were clustered into subclasses via phylogenetic analysis with proteins of ***,***,and some other plant *** cis-acting regulatory elements analysis revealed that the promoter region of SiSRS4(SIN_1011561)showed the highest 13 and 16 elements for light-and phytohormone-responses whereas,SiSRS1(SIN_1015187)showed the highest 15 elements for *** ABREs,or ABA-responsive elements,were found in a maximum of 8 copies in the SiSRS3(SIN 1009100).Moreover,the available RNA-seq based expression of SiSRS genes revealed variation in expression patterns between stress-treated and non-treated samples,especially in drought and salinity conditions *** SiSRS genes like SiSRS1(SIN_1015187)and SiSRS5(SIN_1021065),also exhibited variabl

Geochemistry of subsurface Late Quaternary ironstones in Rajshahi and Bogra Districts, Bangladesh: implications for genetic and depositional conditions

The present study deals with the geochemistry of Late Quaternary ironstones in the subsurface in Rajshahi and Bogra districts, Bangladesh with the lithological study of the boreholes sediments. Major lithofacies of the studied boreholes are clay, silty clay, sandy clay, fine to coarse grained sand, gravels and sands with(fragmentary) ironstones. The ironstones contain major oxides, Fe_2 O_3*(*total Fe)(avg. 66.6 wt%), SiO_2(avg. 15.3 wt%), Al_2 O_3(avg. 4.0 wt%), MnO(avg. 7.7 wt%), and CaO(avg. 3.4 wt%). These geochemical data imply that the higher percentage of Fe_2 O_3* along with Al_2 O_3 and MnO indicate the ironstone as goethite and siderite, which is also validated by XRD data. A comparatively higher percentage of SiO_2 indicates the presence of relative amounts of clastic quartz and manganese-rich silicate or clay in these rocks. These ironstones also have significant amounts of MnO(avg. 7.7 wt%) suggesting their depositional environments under oxygenated condition. Chemical data of these ironstones suggest that the source rock suffered deep chemical weathering and iron was mostly carried in association with the clay fraction and organic matter. Iron concretion was mostly formed by bacterial build up in swamps and marshes, and was subsequently embedded in clayey *** the coastal environments, the water table fluctuates and goethite and siderite with mud and quartz became dry and compacted to form ironstone.

Enhancement of the Sensitivity of Gas Sensor Based on Microstructure Optical Fiber

This paper proposes the design and characterization of microstructure optical fiber for gas sensing applications. The aim is to detect toxic and colorless gases over a wide transmission band covering 0.80 gm to 2.00gm wavelength. Numerical investigation is carried out by using the finite element method （FEM）. The numerical study shows that sensitivity of the proposed sensor is moderately increased by introducing four non-circular holes around the defected core of photonic crystal fiber and the confinement loss is also reduced. Furthermore, we confirm that increasing the diameter of central air core and size of the non-circular holes can improve the relative sensitivity and the confinement loss is reduced by increasing the diameter of air holes in the cladding. The enhancement of the relative sensitivity is more than 27.58% （0.1323 to 0.1688） at the wavelength 2=1.33gm that is the absorption line of methane （CH4） and hydrogen fluoride （HF） gases. The confinement loss of the fiber is 1.765x 10-8dB/m.

Optical and electrical properties of crystalline indium tin oxide thin film deposited by vacuum evaporation technique

Indium tin oxide(ITO) thin film was deposited on glass substrate by means of vacuum evaporation technique and annealed at 200 ℃, 300℃ and 400 ℃ in air for 1 h. The characterization and properties of the deposited film samples were analyzed by X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and UV-VIS-NIR spectroscopy techniques. From the XRD patterns, it was found that the deposited thin film was of crystalline at an annealing temperature of 400℃. The crystalline phase was indexed as cubic structure with lattice constant and crystallite size of 0.511 nm and 40 nm, respectively. The SEM images showed that the films exhibited uniform surface morphology with well-defined spherical grains. The optical transmittance of ITO thin film annealed at 400 ℃ was improved from 44% to 84% in the wavelength range from 250 nm to 2 100 nm and an optical band gap was measured as 3.86 e V. Hall effect measurement was used to measure the resistivity and conductivity of the prepared film.
