Higher strength and lower degradation rate of Fe compared to magnesium and zinc have made it the most reliable for orthopaedic ***,this paper studies the morphological and mechanical characteristics of porous Fe fabricated using subtractive manufacturing for load bearing bone *** types of porous Fe(19%,39%and 59%)were prepared and then modelled into a 3D model for finite element *** mechanical properties evaluated through finite element analysis were then validated by the experimental *** fluid dynamics was done in this study to evaluate the permeability and wall shear stress of the porous *** between morphological indices,mechanical properties,shear stress and permeability were then *** mechanical behaviour of porous Fe investigated through finite element analysis was in good agreement with the experimental *** mechanical properties of porous Fe specimen particularly sample C(modulus:5.63 GPa and yield strength:145.7 MPa)was tailored to the cancellous bone(modulus:0.5 GPa-18 GPa and yield strength:101 MPa-169.6 MPa).As the porosity increased,the performance of porous Fe regarding mechanical properties and morphological properties were enhanced.

The effect of frequency and sintering temperature on initial permeability of Ni0.55Zn0.45Fe2O4 ferrites have been studied by using an impedance analyzer. The samples were prepared by conventional double sintering ceramic technique using oxide nanoparticles of grain size 30 - 50 nm. Single phase spinal structure has been confirmed for the prepared samples by X-ray diffraction. As the sintering temperatures increase from 1160℃ to 1300℃, the permeability gradually increases. The increase of permeability is ascribed to the increase of density and grain size. Grain size is expected to grow with the increase of sintering temperature. Ferrites with large average grain size posses higher initial permeability. The Curie temperatures determined from temperature dependence of permeability of the samples sintered at different temperatures are found to be Tc = (321 ± 1)℃ and independent of sintering temperature. At Ts = 1300℃, Tc is found to increase substantially which can be explained by the fact that Zn has evaporated from the surface layer.

Sugarcane is one of the major important sugar yielding crops in *** an exhaustive crop,sugarcane removes a huge amount of plant nutrients from the ***,the combined use of organic and inorganic fertilizers can be a good approach to deal with nutrient depletion and promote sustainable crop production as well as improve soil ***,an attempt was made to identify the most fruitful and profitable integrated nutrient management on the aspects of growth,yield and quality of sugarcane in two consecutive growing *** treatments:T_(1)=Control,T_(2)=165:55:120:30:10:2.5:4 kg N:P:K:S:Mg:Zn:B ha^(−1),T_(3)=Poultry Litter(PL)at 5 t ha^(−1)+95:51:87:9:10:2.5:4 kg N:P:K:S:Mg:Zn:B ha^(−1),T_(4)=Cow Dung(CD)at 15 t ha^(−1)+36:52:60:17:10:2.5:4 kg N:P:K:S:Mg:Zn:B ha^(−1),T_(5)=Press Mud(PM)at 15 t ha^(−1)+10:50:43:0:10:2.5:4 kg N:P:K:S:Mg:Zn:B ha^(−1),T_(6)=Mustard Oil Cake(MOC)at 0.5 t ha^(−1)+140:54:115:25:10:2.5:4 kg N:P:K:S:Mg:Zn:B ha^(−1)and T_(7)=GM(Green Manure)at 5 t ha^(−1)+140:53:100:28:10:2.5:4 kg N:P:K:S:Mg:Zn:B ha^(−1)were used in this *** years data showed that treatment T_(3)produced the maximum amount of tillers,total dry matter yield,millable sugarcane,cane yield and sugar yield,followed by the T_(4)*** highest stalk heights were recorded in the T_(3)treatment,which was statistically similar to all other treatments except T_(1)and T_(2).The juice quality parameters viz.,brix and pol in cane were found significant in treatment T_(3)while the highest purity was obtained in the T_(7)*** the data of Jaggery(goor)quality parameters,the highest sucrose content,color transmittance,Jaggery(goor)recovery and the lowest ash content of Jaggery(goor)were observed in the T_(3)treatment,which was statistically similar to the T_(4)treatment in both *** highest cost of production was obtained from the T_(6)treatment while the highest gross return,net return and BCR were recorded in the T_(3)*** sig

Organic Amendments Improve Plant Morpho-Physiology and Antioxidant Metabolism in Mitigating Drought Stress in Bread Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.)

Due to the unpredictable climate change,drought stress is being considered as one of the major threats to crop ***(Triticum aestivum *** Gom-26)being a dry season crop frequently faces scarcity of water and results in a lower ***,this experiment aims to explore the role of different organic amendments(OAs)in mitigating drought stress-induced *** pot experiment consisted of different organic amendments ***,vermicompost and poultry manure@0.09 kg m^(−2)soil,biochar@2.5%w/w soil and chitosan@1%w/w soil which was imposed on the plants grown under both well-watered and drought *** showed that drought stress reduced plant height(15%),SPAD value(16%),relative water content(13%),number of spikelet spike^(−1)(17%),number of grains spike^(−1)(12%),and 100-grain weight(18%).Organic amendments act as a protectant and reduce drought stress-induced damages by enhancing the morpho-physiological and yield *** enhanced SPAD value by 18%,number of spikelets spike^(−1)by 20%,number of grains spike^(−1)by 17%,whereas poultry manure increased plant height by 16%under drought condition compared to control *** other OAs applied,vermicompost was proved to be capable of reducing the higher lipid peroxidation and proline content raised by drought *** stress-induced increment of catalase,ascorbate peroxidase and glutathione reductase activities were also efficiently modulated by the organic amendment *** present study concluded that OAs play significant roles in alleviating drought stressinduced damages by improving the morpho-physiological attributes and among the different types of OAs used vermicompost performed better which in addition ceased the production of reactive oxygen species.

A well-balanced numerical model is presented for two-dimensional, depth-averaged, shallow water flows based on the Discontinuous Galerkin （DG） method. The model is applied to simulate dam-break flood in natural rivers with wet/dry bed and complex topography. To eliminate numerical imbalance, the pressure force and bed slope terms are combined in the shallow water flow equations. For partially wet/dry elements, a treatment of the source term that preserves the well-balanced property is presented. A treatment for modeling flow over initially dry bed is presented. Numerical results show that the time step used is related to the dry bed criterion. The intercell numerical flux in the DG method is computed by the Harten-Lax-van Contact （HLLC） approximate Riemann solver. A two-dimensional slope limiting procedure is employed to prevent spurious oscillation. The robustness and accuracy of the model are demonstrated through several test cases, including dam-break flow in a channel with three bumps, laboratory dam-break tests over a triangular bump and an L-shape bend, dam-break flood in the Paute River, and the Malpasset dam-break case. Numerical results show that the model is robust and accurate to simulate dam-break flood over natural rivers with complex geometry and wet/dry beds.

In this paper, a novel structural modification approach has been adopted to eliminate the early coupling between the bending and torsional mode shapes of vibrations for a cable stayed bridge model generated using ABAQUS software. Two lateral steel beams are added to the middle span of the structure. Frequency analysis is dedicated to obtain the natural frequencies of the first eight mode shapes of vibrations before and after the structural modification approach. Numerical simulations of wind excitations are conducted for the 3D model of the cable stayed bridge with duration of 30 s supporting on real data of a strong wind from the literature. Both vertical and torsional displacements are calculated at the mid span of the deck to analyze both the bending and the torsional stiffness of the system before and after the structural modification. The results of the frequency analysis after applying lateral steel beams declared a safer structure against vertical and torsional vibrations and rarely expected flutter wind speed. Furthermore, the coupling between the vertical and torsional mode shapes has been removed to larger natural frequencies magnitudes with a high factor of safety. The novel structural approach manifested great efficiency in increasing vertical and torsional stiffness of the structure.

Infrared Spectroscopy-Based Chemometric Analysis for Lard Differentiation in Meat Samples

One of the most pressing concerns for the consumer market is the detection of adulteration in meat products due to their *** rapid and accurate identification mechanism for lard adulteration in meat products is highly necessary,for developing a mechanism trusted by consumers and that can be used to make a definitive *** Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR)is used in this work to identify lard adulteration in cow,lamb,and chicken samples.A simplified extraction method was implied to obtain the lipids from pure and adulterated *** samples were obtained by mixing lard with chicken,lamb,and beef with different concentrations(10%–50%v/v).Principal component analysis(PCA)and partial least square(PLS)were used to develop a calibration model at 800–3500 cm^(−1).Three-dimension PCA was successfully used by dividing the spectrum in three regions to classify lard meat adulteration in chicken,lamb,and beef *** corresponding FTIR peaks for the lard have been observed at 1159.6,1743.4,2853.1,and 2922.5 cm−1,which differentiate chicken,lamb,and beef *** wavenumbers offer the highest determination coefficient R2 value of 0.846 and lowest root mean square error of calibration(RMSEC)and root mean square error prediction(RMSEP)with an accuracy of 84.6%.Even the tiniest fat adulteration up to 10%can be reliably discovered using this methodology.
