Although many causes of Alzheimer’s disease(AD)may exist,both the original amyloid cascade and tau hypotheses posit that abnormal misfolding and accumulation of amyloid-β(Aβ)and tau protein is the central event causing the ***,that conclusion could be only partly true,and there is conflicting evidence about the role of both proteins in AD,being able to precede and influence one *** researchers argue that these proteins are mere executors rather than primary causes of ***,there have been continuing refinements of both hypotheses,with alternative explanations proposed.Aβand tau proteins may be independently involved in specific neurotoxic pathways;yet there may be other crucial processes going on in early ***,accumulating evidence suggests that Aβand tau act synergistically,rather than additively in disease onset(Jeremic et al.,2021,2023a).

Hydrocarbons separation in petrochemical industries is a key,energy-consuming stage in the manufacture of high-quality added-value products—hence the need for more efficient materials and environmentally friendly methodologies to improve this *** this context,we have studied the effect of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)pore functionalization in hexane isomers separation,isolating the robust isoreticular zinc(ll)bipyrazolates Zn(BPZ),showing no pore decoration,Zn(Me_(2)BPZ),the pores of which are decorated with apolar methyl groups,and Zn(BPZ(NH_(2))_(2)),the spacers of which possess polar Lewis-basic functions(H_(2)BPZ=1H,1'H-4,4'-bipyrazole;H_(2)Me_(2)BPZ=3,3'-dimethyl-1H,1'H-4,4'-bipyrazole;H_(2)BPZ(NH_(2))_(2)=3,5-diamino-1H,1'H-4,4'-bipyrazole;DMF=dimethylformamide).After characterizing Zn(BPZ(NH_(2))_(2))as per its crystal structure and thermal behaviour,and all the three MOFs as per their textural properties,we investigated,from the experimental and computational points of view,the impact of the square one-dimensional channels decoration on the separation of the hexane isomers,demonstrating the relevance of pore constrictions in the resolution of the title alkanes mixture.

CTP synthase is compartmentalized within a subcellular structure,termed the cytoophidium,in a range of organisms including bacteria, yeast,fruit fly and *** we show that CTP synthase is also compartmentalized into cytoophidia in human ***,the occurrence of cytoophidia in human cells increases upon treatment with a glutamine analog 6-diazo-5-oxo-L-norleucine（DON）,an inhibitor of glutamine-dependent enzymes including CTP *** in flies confirmed that DON globally promotes cytoophidium *** analysis via CTP synthase RNA interference in somatic cells indicates that CTP synthase expression level is critical for the formation of ***,DON facilitates cytoophidium assembly even when CTP synthase level is low.A second glutamine analog azaserine also promotes cytoophidum *** data demonstrate that glutamine analogs serve as useful tools in the study of cytoophidia.

The amount of piggery wastewater as domestic livestock is *** volume of piggery wastewater produced is less than the volume of other wastewaters,but piggery wastewater has a heavy impact on wastewater streams due to an extremely high concentration of nitrogen and *** this study,laboratory reactors were operated using piggery wastewater and the effluent of anaerobic digester from piggery wastewater *** purpose of this study was to induce the nitritation process,which is an economically advantageous nitrogen removal method that converts ammonium nitrogen into *** results showed that the effluent of anaerobic digester from piggery wastewater was more efficient than raw piggery wastewater in terms of inducing *** can be deduced that nitritation is largely affected by an organic fraction of piggery *** can also be concluded that a small amount of biodegradable organic matter in piggery wastewater is efficient in inducing nitritation.
