Accurate and reliab.e fault detection is essential for the safe operation of electric *** vector data description(SVDD)has b.en widely used in the field of fault ***,constructing the hypersphere b.undary only describ.s the distrib.tion of unlab.led samples,while the distrib.tion of faulty samples cannot b. effectively describ.d and easilymisses detecting faulty data due to the imb.lance of sample ***,selecting parameters is critical to the detection performance,and empirical parameterization is generally timeconsuming and lab.rious and may not result in finding the optimal ***,this paper proposes a semi-supervised data-driven method b.sed on which the SVDD algorithm is improved and achieves excellent fault detection *** incorporating faulty samples into the underlying SVDD model,training deals b.tter with the prob.em of missing detection of faulty samples caused b. the imb.lance in the distrib.tion of ab.ormal samples,and the hypersphere b.undary ismodified to classify the samplesmore *** b.yesian Optimization NSVDD(b.-NSVDD)model was constructed to quickly and accurately optimize hyperparameter *** the experiments,electric vehicle operation data with four common fault types are used to evaluate the performance with other five models,and the results show that the b.-NSVDD model presents superior detection performance for each type of fault data,especially in the imperceptib.e early and minor faults,which has seen very ob.ious ***,the strong rob.stness of the proposed method is verified b. adding different intensities of noise in the dataset.

There has b.en some good news, and some b.d news in the controlled fusion community recently. The good news is that the Lawrence Livermore National Lab.ratory (LLNL) has recently produced a b.rning plasma. It succeeded on several of its shots where ~1.5 - 2 megajoules from its laser (National Ignition Facility, or NIF) has generated ~1.3 - 3 megajoules of fusion products. The highest ratio of fusion energy to laser energy it achieved, defined as its Q, was 1.5 at the time of this writing. While LLNL is sponsored b. nuclear stockpile stewardship, this author sees a likely path from their result to fusion for energy for the world, a path using a very different laser and a very different target configuration. The b.d news is that the International Tokamak Experimental Reactor (ITER) has continued to stumb.e on more and more delays and cost overruns, as its capital cost has mushroomed from ~$5 b.llion to ~ $25 b. This paper argues that the American fusion effort, for energy for the civilian economy, should switch its emphasis not only from magnetic fusion to inertial fusion b.t should also take much more seriously fusion b.eeding. Over the next few decades, the world might well b. setting up more and more thermal nuclear reactors, and these might need fuel which only fusion b.eeders can supply. In other words, fusion should b.gin to color outside the lines.

Oral cancer (OC) is the most common form of head and neck cancer. Despite the high incidence and unfavourab.e patient outcomes, currently, there are no b.omarkers for the early detection of OC. This study aims to discover, develop, and validate a novel saliva-b.sed microRNA signature for early diagnosis and prediction of OC risk in oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMD).The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) miRNA sequencing data and small RNA sequencing data of saliva samples were used to discover differentially expressed miRNAs. Identified miRNAs were validated in saliva samples of OC (n=50), OPMD (n=52), and controls(n=60) using quantitative real-time PCR. Eight differentially expressed miRNAs (miR-7-5p, miR-10b.5p, miR-182-5p, miR-215-5p,miR-431-5p, miR-486-3p, miR-3614-5p, and miR-4707-3p) were identified in the discovery phase and were validated. The efficiency of our eight-miRNA signature to discriminate OC and controls was:area under curve (AUC):0.954, sensitivity:86%, specificity:90%,positive predictive value (PPV):87.8%and negative predictive value (NPV):88.5%whereas b.tween OC and OPMD was:AUC:0.911,sensitivity:90%, specificity:82.7%, PPV:74.2%and NPV:89.6%. We have developed a risk prob.b.lity score to predict the presence or risk of OC in OPMD patients. We estab.ished a salivary miRNA signature that can aid in diagnosing and predicting OC,revolutionising the management of patients with OPMD. Together, our results shed new light on the management of OC b. salivary miRNAs to the clinical utility of using miRNAs derived from saliva samples.

In this work,we investigate a static and spherically symmetric b.rdeen-Kiselev b.ack hole(b.)with the cosmological constant,which is a solution of the Einstein-non-linear maxwell field *** compute the quasinormal frequencies for the b.rdeen-Kiselev b. with the cosmological constant due to electromagnetic and gravitational *** varying the b. parameters,we discuss the b.havior of b.th real and imaginary parts of the b. quasinormal frequencies and compare these frequencies with the Reissner-Nordström-de Sitter b. surrounded b. quintessence(RN-dSQ).Interestingly,it is shown that the responses of the b.rdeen-Kiselev b. with the cosmological constant and the RN-dSQ under electromagnetic perturb.tions are different when the charge parameter q,the state parameter w and the normalization factor c are varied;however,for the gravitational perturb.tions,the responses of the b.rdeen-Kiselev b. with the cosmological constant and the RN-dSQ are different only when the charge parameter q is ***,compared with the gravitational perturb.tions,the electromagnetic perturb.tions can b. used to understand nonlinear and linear electromagnetic fields in curved spacetime *** interesting ob.ervation is that,due to the presence of Kiselev quintessence,the electromagnetic perturb.tions around the b.rdeen-Kiselev b. with the cosmological constant damps faster and oscillates slowly;for the gravitational perturb.tions,the quasinormal mode decays slowly and oscillates *** also study the reflection and transmission coefficients along with the ab.orption cross section in the b.rdeen-Kiselev b. with the cosmological constant;it is shown that the transmission coefficients will increase due to the presence of Kiselev quintessence.

Hirschsprung's disease is a congenital disorder that occurs in 1:5000 live b.rths. It is characterised b. an ab.ence of enteric neurons along a variab.e region of the gastrointestinal tract. Hirschsprung's disease is classified as a multigenic disorder, b.cause the same phenotype is associated with mutations in multiple distinct genes. Furthermore, the genetics of Hirschsprung's disease are highly complex and not strictly Mendelian. The phenotypic variab.lity and incomplete penetrance ob.erved in Hirschsprung' s disease also suggests the involvement of modifier genes. Here, we summarise the current knowledge of the genetics underlying Hirschsprung's disease b.sed on human and animal studies, focusing on the principal causative genes, their interactions, and the role of modif ier genes.

The measurement of environmental magnetic properties and metal contents of sands from Nukkai(NKR),Mayo-Gwoi(RMYG)and Lamurde(LR)rivers located in Jalingo,Nigeria are *** seek to determine the extent of anthropogenic impact on the river sands using magnetic-proxy-parameters,pollution and ecotoxicological indices and multivariate *** of magnetic susceptib.lityχ,frequency-dependentsusceptib.lityχfd%,anhystericremanent magnetization,isothernal remanent magnetization and X-ray fluorescence were *** average values of theχ(in×10^(-8)m^(3)kg^(-1))were 24.53,12.76 and 39.27 for NKR,RMYG and LR sites respectively,implying that the magnetic minerals in the sands were mostly *** meanχfd%value of 2.64%,4.85%and 3.53%for NKR,RMYG and LR respectively suggest that the study area was dominated b. multi-domain magnetic grain *** value of the S-ratio is~1 in all river samples,suggesting that low coercivity magnetic minerals(e.g.,magnetite)dominated the *** mean concentrations of Ti,Zr,Sn,b. and Pb.were higher than the b.ckground values in the studied *** the estimated pollution indices puts the level of pollution of the river sands b.tween low and moderate pollution with Sn,b. and Pb.as the elements of *** sources of metal contents such as fertilizers,pesticides,waste dumps and vehicular sources *** *** positive correlations b.tween magnetic parameters(particularly,SIRM)and some heavy metals and pollution/ecotoxicological indices were ob.ained,showing that magnetic methods could b. used as a geochemical proxy for pollution assessment.

Recent applications of digital photogrammetry in forestry have highlighted its utility as a viab.e mensuration ***,in tropical regions little research has b.en done on the accuracy of this approach for stem volume *** this study,the performance of Structure from Motion photogrammetry for estimating individual tree stem volume in relation to traditional approaches was *** selected 30 trees from five savanna species growing at the periphery of the W National Park in northern b.nin and measured their circumferences at different heights using traditional tape and *** volumes of sample trees were estimated from the measured circumferences using nine volumetric formulae for solids of revolution,including cylinder,cone,parab.loid,neiloid and their respective *** tree was photographed and stem volume determined using a taper function derived from tri-dimensional stem *** reference volume was compared with the results of formulaic *** stem profiles were further decomposed into different portions,approximately corresponding to the stump,b.tt logs and logs,and the suitab.lity of each solid of revolution was assessed for simulating the resulting *** volumes calculated using the fustrums of parab.loid and neiloid formulae were the closest to reference volumes with a b.as and root mean square error of 8.0%and 24.4%,*** closely resemb.ed fustrums of a parab.loid and a *** stem portions assumed different solids as follows:fustrums of parab.loid and neiloid were more prevalent from the stump to b.east height,while a parab.loid closely matched stem shapes b.yond this ***,a more accurate stem volumetric estimate was attained when stems were considered as a composite of at least three geometric solids.
