A rust disease caused by Uropyxis daleae (Dietel & Holw.) Magnus was registered on the natural population of Dalea pennelli (Mac Bride) Mac Bride var. chilensis Barneby in the highland near the Andes in the northernmost of Chile. This pathogen shows uredinia with the presence of paraphyses and features, larger urediniospores and teliospores than U. daleae (Dietel & Holway) Magn. var. daleae. Based on morphological combined with 28S sequence analysis, we propose this pathogen as a new fungal variety: U. daleae var. socoromensis. This is the first report of Uropyxis daleae var. socoromensis attacking D. pennelli var. chilensis in Northern Chile.

Metals obtain optimum conditions of metallurgical and physical properties through a heat treatment. Brass is one of the copper alloys which has many applications in everyday life and in the industry. In this work, the influence of the precipitation heat treatment temperature on the metallurgical microstructure, structure, thermal properties, and microhardness of an alpha brass is analyzed. Samples were heat treated by precipitation for 2 h at 300°C, 400°C, 500°C, 600°C, and 700°C. The best mechanical properties were found at 500°C of precipitation heat treatment temperature. Specimens were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Vickers microhardness, photothermal radiometry, and photoacoustic to study the thermal diffusivity and conductivity, as well as the heat capacity. The inverse of the full width at the half maximum analysis showed that the crystallinity decreased as the precipitation heat treatment temperature increased. Metallurgical microstructure and microhardness were correlated to the precipitation heat treatment temperatures to determine the effect on the metallurgical and mechanical properties, as well as the effect on the thermal properties of alpha brass.

Let f be a Maass cusp form for Г0（N） with Fourier coefficients 1 k2. λf（n） and Laplace eigenvalue 1/4 ＋k2 For real α≠0 and β 〉 0, consider the sum Sx（f; α,β） = ∑n λf（n）e（αnβ）φ（n/X）, where φ is a smooth function of compact support. We prove bounds for the second spectral moment of Sx （f;α, β）, with the eigenvalue tending towards infinity. When the eigenvalue is sufficiently large, we obtain an average bound for this sum in terms of X. This implies that if f has its eigenvalue beyond X1/2＋ε, the standard resonance main term for Sx（f; ±2√q 1/2）, q ∈Z＋, cannot appear in general. The method is adopted from proofs of subconvexity bounds for Rankin-Selberg L-functions for GL（2） × GL（2）. It contains in particular a proof of an asymptotic expansion of a well-known oscillatory integral with an enlarged range of Kε≤ L≤ K1-ε. The same bounds can be proved in a similar way for holomorphie cusp forms.

The primary aim of this study is to correlate the impact of aggregates,if any,on the viscoelastic behavior of rejuvenated asphalt mixtures containing very high amounts of reclaimed asphalt pavement(RAP)(>50%).First,gradation of 100%RAP was rectified,using a modified Bailey method by adding virgin aggregates to achieve two coarse dense-graded and one fine dense-graded *** modulus test was then performed from−35 to+35℃and 0.01–10 *** addition to performance grade(PG)testing,extracted and recovered binders from different asphalt mixtures underwent shear complex modulus test within−8℃to high temperature PG and frequencies from 0.001 to 30 ***−Cole,Black space,complex modulus and phase angle master curves were constructed and ShiftHomothety-Shift in time-Shift(SHStS)transformation was used to compare the linear viscoelastic behavior of asphalt binders and *** influence of aggregates on the viscoelastic behavior of asphalt mixtures depends on temperature and/or *** role of asphalt binders in the behavior of asphalt mixtures is more pronounced at high temperatures and the effect of the aggregate structure increases as the temperature *** maximum difference(60%to 70%)in the viscoelastic behavior of the binder and mixture based on SHStS transformed Cole−Cole curves is within the phase angle of 15°–20°.

The conceptual design and optimization of a tilt-rotor Micro Air Vehicle(MAV) for a well-defined mission are performed. The objective of this design cycle is to decrease the design time in order to efficiently create a functional tilt-rotor drone. A flight mission is firstly defined for a tiltrotor MAV performing hovering and cruise flight scenarios. Secondly, a complex wing shape is chosen and modeled in order to determine the final shape. The initial shape is scaled in order to acquire an arbitrary wingspan of one meter. For the specific area and wingspan, the aspect ratio of the designed wing shape is found to be equal to 2.32. Thirdly, a constraint analysis of the MAV is performed by using an energy balance analysis for six different flight scenarios. This analysis yields the required power loading and wing loading. Fourthly, the weight of the vehicle is estimated using both statistical and computational methods. After estimating the total weight and the wing loading of the MAV, the surface of the wing is determined, yielding a final wingspan of 0.76 m. Subsequently, considering the total weight of the designed MAV, the needed lift coefficient is ***, using the lift coefficient in conjunction with XLFR5, a batch of airfoils is selected and analyzed to evaluate the aerodynamic coefficients of the wing with each airfoil. This analysis ultimately leads to the optimum airfoil being selected. Finally, design of the fuselage and tail, internal components selection, and servo-mechanisms design are carried out prior to a stability analysis. All these proposed steps are needed to design efficient and functional tilt-rotor MAVs.

This paper analyzes the effect of the depth of submetering(i.e.,from whole-building level to system level to equipment level and further to sensor level)on the energy savings that can be achieved in energy analytics or energy information system(EIS)*** EIS is defined as a combination of software and hardware systems that gather energy-related data,feed it into an analytics engine,and present building operators with analyses that allow them to reduce energy *** regarding the energy savings,the depth of sub-metering in the EIS implementation,and the cost of submetering was gathered for 21 case(building portfolio)studies and analyzed to determine if there is a relationship between the depth of submetering and the energy savings *** was found that in general,deeper submetering does in fact appear to enable deeper energy *** one exception to this is sensor-level data:the addition of detailed sensor level metering to other higher levels of metering data does not seem to enable deeper energy savings in EIS *** findings in energy savings,cost and cost-effectiveness were presented for different levels of metering that may provide insightful rule-of-thumb estimations for similar implementations.

The environmental potential of perforated surfaces in the tropics is noticeable. They allow obtaining higher attenuation and spatial dispersion of both direct and diffuse lighting in indoor spaces, whereas in outdoor areas, the openwork elements reduce surfaces temperature and mitigate the characteristic glare of smooth surfaces when exposed to sunlight. Openwork walls have an immense sustainability potential in modern tropical buildings： they limit the solar rays＇ admission, as well as provide an advantageous use of natural light and cross ventilation, but the research on their solar behavior is scarce. In order to obtain suitable levels of solar gain, relationships among shape, proportion, thickness and partitions composing openwork elements must be studied. This research evaluates solar gain in perforated surfaces by defining the ＂solar applicability range＂, a property useful to identify intervals of guidance where a perforated pattern shape will present a definite solar gain, giving valuable input in the geometric design of openwork elements and introducing shade performance in the design of openwork walls. Results give geometric guidelines that allow to widen the solar applicability range of a perforation pattern and to define two perforation features that have impact on the solar performance of perforated surfaces： focalization and solar performance shift.

Exoskeletons are mechatronic devices used to increase human muscle strength and resistance. In the last decade these devices have become a very useful tool to assist active kinesiotherapy. This paper presents the design of exoskeleton focused on the rehabilitation of ankle and knee for the right leg. The construction of prototype like Exoskeleton for Lower Limb Training with Instrumented Orthoses （ELLTIO） using Series Elastic Actuator （SEA） to reduce the effort in the human joints, and a control law to perform a rehabilitation routine using an adaptive control scheme were first implemented in simulation to verify the control strategy and make a real rehabilitation test. The adaptive control law is proposed with the intention that the exoskeleton can adapt to user parameters at the time when performing the exercise. The results show the parameters estimation and tracking trajectory for the exoskeleton were proposed, and this trajectory could be a routine rehabilitation proposed by the therapist.
