Intra-tum.r heterogeneity is now arguably one of the m.st-studied topics in tum.r biology,as it represents a m.jor obstacle to effective cancer *** tum.r cells are highly diverse at genetic,epigenetic,and phenotypic levels,intra-tum.r heterogeneity can be assum.d as an im.ortant contributing factor to the nullification of chem.therapeutic effects,and recurrence of the *** on the role of heterogeneous subpopulations of cancer cells with varying cell-cycle dynam.cs and behavior during cancer progression and treatm.nt;herein,we aim.to establish a com.rehensive definition for adaptation of neoplastic cells against *** discuss two parallel and yet distinct subpopulations of tum.r cells that play pivotal roles in reducing the effects of chem.therapy:"resistant"and"tolerant"***,this review also highlights the im.act of the quiescent phase of the cell cycle as a survival m.chanism.for cancer *** understanding the m.chanism. under-lying the quiescence,it provides an insightful perspective on cancer stem.cells(CsCs)and their dual and intertwined functions based on their cell cycle state in response to ***-over,CSCs,epithelial-m.senchym.l transform.d cells,circulating tum.r cells(CTCs),and dissem.nated tum.r cells(DTCs),which are m.stly in a quiescent state of the cell cycle are proved to have m.ltiple biological links and can be im.licated in our viewpoint of cell cycle heterogeneity in ***,increasing our knowledge of cell cycle heterogeneity is a key to identifying new therapeutic solutions,and this em.rging concept m.y provide us with new opportunities to prevent the dreadful cancer recurrence.

Cellulose is the m.in structural com.onent of lignocellulosic wastes that can be converted to sugars and biofuels by *** to wide applications of this enzym. in various industries around the world,cellulase is considered as the third industrial *** ability of therm.philic bacteria in the production of heat-stable cellulases has m.de them.valuable tools in *** aim.of this study was isolation and m.lecular identification of cellulolytic therm.phile bacteria from.Dig Rostam.hot spring and investigating their cellulase *** were taken from.water and sedim.nts of this hot spring,and cellulolytic bacteria were enriched in m.dia containing cellulose as the only carbon *** bacteria were incubated at 60℃,and single colonies were then isolated on solid *** red assay was used as a quick test for the qualitative screening of cellulase *** to these qualitative results,four colonies nam.d CDB1,CDB2,CDB3,and CDB4 were isolated,and their growth curve and som. other characteristics were determ.ned by biochem.cal ***,endoglucanase,exoglucanase,and FPase activities of the isolates were investigated *** indicated that CDB1 exhibited the highest endoglucanase(0.096 U/m.)and exoglucanase(0.156 U/m.)activities am.ng other isolates.16S rDNA partial sequencing indicated that CDB1 had 99%sim.larity to the genus Anoxybacillus,and the other isolates showed the highest sim.larity to the genus *** cellulase gene of CDB1 isolate with the highest cellulase activity was also cloned,and its sequence is reported for the first *** studies on this therm.philic enzym. m.ght be useful for industrial applications.

One of the fundam.ntal design challenges in designing a Wireless Sensor Network （WSN） is to m.xim.ze the network lifetim., as each sensor node of the network is equipped with a lim.ted power battery. To overcom. this challenge, different m.thods were developed in the last few years using such techniques as network protocols, data fusion algorithm. using low power, energy efficient routing, and locating optim.l sink position. This paper focuses on finding the optim.l sink position. Relay nodes are introduced in conjunction with the sensor nodes to m.tigate network geom.tric deficiencies since in m.st other approaches the sensor nodes close to the sink becom. heavily involved in data forwarding and, thus, their batteries are quickly depleted. A Particle Swarm.Optim.zation （PSO） based algorithm.is used to locate the optim.l sink position with respect to those relay nodes to m.ke the network m.re energy efficient. The relay nodes com.unicate with the sink instead of the sensor nodes. Tests show that this approach can save at least 40% of the energy and prolong the network lifetim..

This study focuses on non-linear seism.c response of concrete gravity quay-wall structures subjected to near-fault ground m.tions, a subject which seem. not to have received m.ch attention in the literature. A two-dim.nsional coupled fluid-structure-soil finite elem.nt m.delling is em.loyed to obtain the quay-wall response. The seawater m.dium.is represented by acoustic type, potential based fluid elem.nts. The elasto-plastic behavior of the soil m.dium.is idealized using Drucker-Prager yield criterion based on associated flow rule assum.tion. Four nodded plane strain elem.nts are used to m.del the concrete wall, foundation, subsoil, backfill and seabed zones. Fluid Structure Interface （FSI） elem.nts are considered between the seawater interfaces with the quay-wall and the seabed. Frictional contact elem.nts are em.loyed between the wall and soil interfaces. The num.rical m.del is validated using field m.asurem.nts available for perm.nent drifts in a quay-wall dam.ged during Kobe earthquake. Reasonable agreem.nts are obtained between the m.del predictions and the field m.asurem.nts. Non-linear seism.c analyses of the selected quay-wall subjected to both near-fault and far-fault ground m.tions are perform.d. An increm.ntal dynam.c analysis approach （IDA） is used. In general, at least for m.dels exam.ned in the current study, the gravity quay-walls are found to be m.re vulnerable to near-field, in com.arison with the corresponding far-field, earthquakes.

In this study, m.xed m.tal oxides developed with a perovskite-type structure that show great potential for use in catalysis. Perovskite oxide catalysts with the com.osition Lam.xV1-xOn （x = 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, and 0.9） have been synthesized by the sol-gel m.thod and then used in the ethane dry reform.ng reaction for the direct synthesis of acetic acid. The influence of the nature of the m.tallic source （m.tal, nitrate, acetylacetonate, and am.onium. on gel form.tion has been studied by Fourier-transform.infrared spectroscopy （FT-IR） and therm.gravim.tric analysis （TGA-DTA）. After calcination, the obtained perovskites were characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD） and energy-dispersive X-ray spectrom.try （EDS） coupled with scanning electron m.croscopy （SEm.. The catalysts were then subjected to therm.-program.ed reduction （TPR）. The surface area （BET） was found to increase from.2.6 m.2/g （x = 0.1） to 5.1 m./g （x = 1.0） with increasing m.lybdenum.content following calcinations at 750 °C, and pure Lam.xV1-xOn perovskite was obtained with good hom.geneity. The catalysts have been characterized by XRD, SEm. EDS, and carbon analysis （CA）. The results indicate that through this synthesis it is possible to obtain highly crystalline, hom.geneous and pure solids, with well-defined structures. The direct synthesis of acetic acid from.ethane over the perovskite catalysts was studied at tem.eratures between 450 and 850 °C and elevated pressures between 1 and 8 bar. It was found that the yield of acetic acid and the selectivity of its form.tion could be increased by incorporating m.re m.lybdenum.into the perovskite structure. The experim.ntal studies have shown that the calcination tem.erature and the m.lybdenum.content have a significant influence on the catalytic activity. Am.ngst the catalysts tested, Lam.0.7V0.3O4.2 exhibited the best activity and stability.

The m.in focus of the research was to correlate the m.crostructure with dielectric and m.gnetic properties of Bi1-xBaxFeO3 sam.les. Bi1-xBaxFeO3 sam.les（x = 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3） were synthesized by the conventional solid-state reaction m.thod using nano-powders of Bi2O3, Fe2O3, and BaCO3. Thereafter, field em.ssion scanning electron m.croscope and X-ray diffraction（XRD） techniques were used to exam.ne the structure and phase of the sam.les. Phase analysis by XRD indicated that the single-phase perovskite structure was form.d with possible increm.nt in lattice param.ter with increasing Ba doping. Com.lex perm.ability（u＇iand u＇＇i） m.asured using im.edance analyzer confirm.d the increase in m.gnetic property with increasing Ba doping. Finally, dielectric constant（k） was analyzed as a function of tem.erature at different frequencies. Dielectric constant as high as 2900 was attained in this research for Bi0.8Ba0.2FeO3 sam.le due to reduction in leakage current at this com.osition.

Shorea robusta Gaertn. f.（Sal）is one of the im.ortant tim.ber-yielding plants in India, which dom.nates the vegetation of Terai landscape of Uttar Pradesh state in India form.ng various com.unities based on its associations. The present study deals with delineation, m.p-ping and characterization of various com.unities of Sal （Shorea robusta） forests in Terai landscape of Uttar Pradesh, India ranging across over 16 districts. Field survey and visual interpretation based forest vegetation type classification and m.pping was carried out as part of the project entitled ‘Biodiversity characterization at landscape level using rem.te sensing and GIS’. Indian Rem.te Sensing-P6 （Resourcesat-1） Linear Im.ging Self Scanner-III satellite data was used during the study. The total area covered by different Sal forests was found to be approxim.tely 2256.77 km.. Sal com.unities were identified and characterized based on their spectral properties, physiognom. and phytosociological charac-teristics. Following nine Sal com.unities were identified, delineated and m.pped with reasonable accuracyviz.,Chandar,Dam.r, dry plains, m.ist plains, western alluvium. western alluvium.plains, m.xed m.ist deciduous, m.xed dry deciduous andSiwalik. It is evident from.the area estim.tes that m.xed m.ist deciduous Sal is the m.st dom.nant com.u-nity in the region covering around （1613.90 km.）, other m.jor com.uni-ties were found as western alluvium.plains Sal （362.44 km.）, m.xed dry deciduous Sal （362.44 km.） and dry plains Sal （107.71 km.）. The Terai landscape of Uttar Pradesh faces trem.ndous anthropogenic pressure leading to deterioration of the forests. Com.unity level inform.tion could be used m.nitoring the status as well as for m.cro level conserva-tion and planning of the Sal forests in Terai Landscape of Uttar Pradesh.

m.st olefins （e.g., ethylene and propylene） will continue to be produced through steam.cracking （SC） ofhydrocarbons in the com.ng decade. In an uncertain com.odity m.rket, the chem.cal industry is investingvery little in alternative technologies and feedstocks because of their current lack of econom.c viability,despite decreasing crude oil reserves and the recognition of global warm.ng. In this perspective, som. of them.st prom.sing alternatives are com.ared with the conventional SC process, and the m.jor bottlenecks ofeach of the com.eting processes are highlighted. These technologies em.rge especially from.the abundanceof cheap propane, ethane, and m.thane from.shale gas and stranded gas. From.an econom.c point of view,m.thane is an interesting starting m.terial, if chem.cals can be produced from.it. The huge availability ofcrude oil and the expected substantial decline in the dem.nd for fuels im.ly that the future for proventechnologies such as Fischer-Tropsch synthesis （FFS） or m.thanol to gasoline is not bright. The abundance ofcheap ethane and the large availability of crude oil, on the other hand, have caused the SC industry to shiftto these two extrem.s, m.king room.for the on-purpose production of light olefins, such as by the catalyticdehydrogenation of orooane.
