Treatment with pharmacological drugs for colorectal cancer(CRC)remains unsatisfactory.A major cause of failure in pharmacotherapy is the resistance of colon cancer cells to the drugs,creating an urgent *** this review,we summarize previous studies on the resistance of CRC cells to irinotecan and discuss possible reasons for *** review presents the following five major causes of irinotecan resistance in human CRC:(1)cellular irinotecan resistance is induced mainly through the increased expression of the drug efflux transporter,ABCG2;(2)cellular irinotecan resistance is also induced in association with a nuclear receptor,pregnane/steroid X receptor(PXR/SXR),which is enriched in the CYP3A4 gene enhancer region in CRC cells by exposing the cells to SN-38;(3)irinotecan-resistant cells possess either reduced DNA topoisomerase I(Top1)expression at both the mRNA and protein levels or Top1 missense mutations;(4)alterations in the tumor microenvironment lead to drug resistance through intercellular vesicle-mediated transmission of miRNAs;and(5)CRC stem cells are the most difficult targets to successfully treat *** the clinical setting,CRC gradually develops resistance to initially effective irinotecan-based *** solve this problem,several clinical trials,such as irinotecan plus cetuximab *** monotherapy,have been *** clinical trial on irinotecan plus guadecitabine,a DNA-methyltransferase inhibitor,has also been conducted.

We report a case of primary localized malignant biphasic mesothelioma of the liver in a 66-year-old man associated with asbestosis. The tumor was detected as a hepatic nodule, 4 cm in diameter, in the right lobe (S8 segment) on CT scan. Histopathological examination demonstrated an intrahepatic tumor with central necrosis consisting of a papillary epithelioid pattern on the surface of the liver, microcystic (microglandular or adenomatoid) pattern mainly in the subcapsular area and sarcomatoid pattern intermingled with microcystic pattern in the major part of the hepatic nodular tumor. Tumor cells, especially of epithelioid type, showed distinct immunoreactivity for mesothelial markers (WT-1, calretinin, D2-40, CK5/6, mesothelin, thrombomodulin) and no immunoreactivity for epithelial (adenocarcinoma) markers (CEA, CD15, BerEP4, BG8, MOC31). P53 immunoreactivity was detected focally in papillary epithelioid tumor cells and extensively in microcystic and sarcomatoid components, suggesting that the papillary epithelioid mesothelioma arose on the surface of the liver, and tumor cells showing microcystic and sarcomatoid patterns invaded and grew into the liver. To date, this is the first case of primary localized malignant biphasic mesothelioma of the liver, since all three primary hepatic mesotheliomas reported so far were epithelioid type.

有关用于各种氧化反应中Au-Ag双金属催化剂存在显著协同效应的来源有两种观点:(1)AgO_x块与体相Au表面的接触界面起重要作用,体相Au的表面是催化活性位;(2)Au-Ag双金属催化剂中形成的Au-Ag合金中电荷从Ag转移到Au上,可能对催化剂活性起作用.因此,确定Au表面上Ag是以氧化物还是以金属合金形式存在可能是深度理解该协同效应的关键.为了检测和验证催化剂活性的增加是由于Ag_2O与Au纳米粒子的紧密接触,在密闭循环反应体系中比较研究了Au/Ag_2O和Ag_2O催化剂上CO氧化反应.将CO/O_2摩尔比为2的混合气通入到这二个催化剂上来跟踪压力降低的速率.因而检测了气体的消耗量和CO_2的生成量.结果发现,在稳态下Au/Ag_2O和Ag_2O催化剂的压力降低的速率不存在差别.这两个催化剂上压力的降低是由于Ag_2O中表面晶格氧被混合气中CO的还原所致.Au/Ag_2O催化剂上得到的结果与以前研究的具有氧化表面的Ag掺杂的Au粉末(Ag/Au-b)上的一致,也表明AgO_x块与体相Au表面界面周边不大可能是CO氧化反应催化活性位.基于具有稳态表面的Ag/Au-b样品上的研究结果,我们认为AgO_x物种被还原为0价态Ag而形成的Ag-Au合金很可能是催化活性位.

We report the lithium ionic conductivities of closo –type complex hydrides synthesized from various molar ratios of lithium borohydride(LiBH4) and decaborane(B10H14) as starting materials. The prepared closo –type complex hydrides comprised [B12H12]^2-, [B11H11]^2-, and [B10H10]^2- complex anions. In addition, increasing the LiBH4 content in the starting materials increased the amounts of [B11H11]^2- and [B10H10]^2-, leading to an improved ion conductivity of the prepared sample. The present study offers useful insights into strategies for controlling the complex anion composition in emerging solid electrolytes of closo-type complex hydrides at the molecular level, and improving their ionic conductivities.

Modification to poloidal charge exchange recombination spectroscopy measurement in JT-60U tokamak

With consideration of the effects of the atomic process and the sight line direction on the charge exchange re-combination spectroscopy （CXRS）, a code used to modify the poloidal CXRS measurement on Tokamak-60 Upgrade （JT-60U） in Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute is developed, offering an effective tool to modify the measurement and analyse experimental results further. The results show that the poloidal velocity of ion is overestimated but the ion temperature is underestimated by the poloidal CXRS measurement, and they also indicate that the effect of observation angle on rotation velocity is a dominant one in a core region （r/a 〈 0.65）, whereas in an edge region where the sight line is nearly normal to the neutral beam, the observation angle effect is very small. The difference between the modified velocity and the neoclassical velocity is not larger than the error in measurement. The difference inside the internal transport barrier （ITB） region is 2-3 times larger than that outside the ITB region, and it increases when the effect of excited components in neutral beam is taken into account. The radial electric field profile is affected greatly by the poloidal rotation term, which possibly indicates the correlation between the poloidal rotation and the transport barrier formation.

Photoimmunotherapy for Local Recurrence of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma: A Case Report

Photoimmunotherapy (PIT), developed by the National Cancer Institute, involves Cetuximab sarotalocan sodium infusion followed by laser irradiation. PIT exerts specific antitumor effects on a variety of carcinomas that express epidermal growth factor receptors. PIT is a new cancer treatment option approved by Japan ahead of other countries worldwide. As of 2022, PIT is indicated in “unresectable, locally advanced, or locally recurrent head and neck cancer, with priority given to standard treatments such as chemotherapy when available”. The conventional treatment for unresectable locally advanced or locally recurrent head and neck cancer is palliative. Whether photoimmunotherapy can be curative for unresectable locally advanced head and neck cancers depends on the case. Herein, we report a case of locally recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma, treated with photoimmunotherapy via the nasal cavity, along with a literature review. Preoperative simulation provided considerable information on device selection, numbers of devices, and availability of working space. As a result, a complete response was obtained following a cylindrical diffuser puncture. Cases of local recurrence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma are considered a good indication for PIT. However, since the follow-up period after treatment was short in this case, we will continue to conduct strict follow-ups and accumulate more cases.

Solvability of the Economic Input-Output Equation by Time Irreversibility

This paper reinterprets the economic input-output equation as a description of a realized situation without considering decision making. This paper uses the equation that the self-sufficiency rate is added to the Leontief type, and discusses its solvability. The equation has a unique solution if and only if each part of the relevant society satisfies the space-time openness condition. This condition means that commodities which a part of the relevant society possesses are not all inputted to its inside. Moreover, if the process of input and output is time irreversible, each part of the relevant society satisfies the space-time openness condition. Therefore, the solvability of the equation is guaranteed by time irreversibility. This proposition seems to be relevant to the grandfather paradox which is a type of time paradox.
