Presently,suspect prediction of crime scenes can be considered as a classification task,which predicts the suspects based on the time,space,and type of crime.Performing digital forensic investigation in a big data environment poses several challenges to the investigational officer.Besides,the facial sketches are widely employed by the law enforcement agencies for assisting the suspect identification of suspects involved in crime scenes.The sketches utilized in the forensic investigations are either drawn by forensic artists or generated through the computer program(composite sketches)based on the verbal explanation given by the eyewitness or victim.Since this suspect identification process is slow and difficult,it is required to design a technique for a quick and automated facial sketch generation.Machine Learning(ML)and deep learning(DL)models find it useful to automatically support the decision of forensics experts.The challenge is the incorporation of the domain expert knowledge with DL models for developing efficient techniques to make better decisions.In this view,this study develops a new artificial intelligence(AI)based DL model with face sketch synthesis(FSS)for suspect identification(DLFSS-SI)in a big data environment.The proposed method performs preprocessing at the primary stage to improvise the image quality.In addition,the proposed model uses a DL based MobileNet(MN)model for feature extractor,and the hyper parameters of the MobileNet are tuned by quasi oppositional firefly optimization(QOFFO)algorithm.The proposed model automatically draws the sketches of the input facial images.Moreover,a qualitative similarity assessment takes place with the sketch drawn by a professional artist by the eyewitness.If there is a higher resemblance between the two sketches,the suspect will be determined.To validate the effective performance of the DLFSS-SI method,a detailed qualitative and quantitative examination takes place.The experimental outcome stated that the DLFSSSI model has outperformed the compared methods

Accurate prediction of shear strength of structural engineering components can yield a magnificent information modeling and predesign process.This paper aims to determine the shear strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete beams using the application of data-intelligence models namely hybrid artificial neural network integrated with particle swarm optimization.For the considered data-intelligence models,the input matrix attribute is one of the central element in attaining accurate predictive model.Hence,various input attributes are constructed to model the shear strength"as a targeted variable".The modeling is initiated using historical published researches steel fiber reinforced concrete beams information.Seven variables are used as input attribute combination including reinforcement ratio(ρ%),concrete compressive strength(f′c),fiber factor(F1),volume percentage of fiber(Vf),fiber length to diameter ratio(lf/ld)effective depth(d),and shear span-to-strength ratio(a/d),while the shear strength(SS)is the output of the matrix.The best network structure obtained using the network having ten nodes and one hidden layer.The final results obtained indicated that the hybrid predictive model of ANN-PSO can be used efficiently in the prediction of the shear strength of fiber reinforced concrete beams.In more representable details,the hybrid model attained the values of root mean square error and correlation coefficient 0.567 and 0.82,respectively.

氢气是公认的洁净、高效、可再生的能源载体,有望替代目前广泛使用的化石燃料.太阳能光催化产氢是实现高效、低成本、可持续生产氢能的一种途径.然而,单一组分光催化剂的性能受限于光生电子-空穴的快速复合,并且不能同时满足宽的太阳光吸收范围和强的氧化还原能力的要求,因此需要构建异质结来增强光生载流子的分离并保持高效光吸收和强氧化还原能力.异质结包括II型异质结、Z型(分为传统Z型和全固态Z型)异质结和梯型(Step-scheme,S型)异质结.在II型异质结中,光生电子从较高迁移至较低的导带,而光生空穴从较低迁移至较高的价带.该原理中光生载流子的转移会使其氧化还原能力降低,同时光生电子-空穴间的吸引和同种电荷间的互斥不利于载流子的转移.Z型异质结利用溶解的氧化还原离子对(传统的Z型异质结)或导电材料(全固态Z型异质结)作为电荷转移和分离的穿梭器.然而,具有更强氧化还原能力的光生载流子会优先与该离子对反应或通过导电材料复合,使氧化还原能力下降.S型异质结通过费米能级差产生的电荷转移形成内建电场,在光照下,内建电场促使氧化还原能力较弱的电子-空穴对结合,而保留氧化还原能力强的电子-空穴对,增强光生载流子的传递分离与光催化剂的活性.目前,Cheng等(Adv.Mater.,2021,33,2100317)通过原位生长硫化镉(CdS)与芘-三苯胺交替共聚物(PT),形成一种无机有机梯型(S型)复合异质结光催化剂(CP).负载了1%Pt助催化剂的2%PT/CdS光催化剂显示出高达9.28 mmol h^(-1) g^(-1)的产氢速率,较好的性能归因于S型异质结的高电子-空穴分离效率和强氧化还原活性.利用开尔文探针和原位光照X射线光电子能谱(ISI-XPS)研究了S型异质结的电子转移机理.在光照下,CdS的电势升高而PT的电势降低,说明CdS中的光生电子转移至PT与其中的光生空穴结合,这与S型异质结的电子转移机理是一致的.CdS的ISI-XPS谱图结果表明,在黑暗条件下,CP中Cd 3d和S 2p的结合能低于它们在CdS中的结合能,说明有电子净流入CdS使其结合能降低;在光照下,Cd 3d和S 2p的结合能则升高,说明电子由CdS转移至PT中.该S型异质结光催化剂成功光催化分解水制氢的案例表明,该研究方向具有潜力.

The impact of temperature and particle size on minimumfluidizing velocity was studied and a.alyzed in a small pilot scale of bubbling fluidized bed reactor.This study was devoted to providing some data about fluidization to the literature under high temperature conditions.The experiments were carried out to evaluate the minimum fluidizing velocity over a vast range of temperature levels from 20℃ to 850℃ using silica sand with a particle size of 300-425μm,425-500μm,500-600μm,and 600-710μm.Furthermore,the variation in the minimumfluidized voidage was determined experimentally at the same conditions.The experimental data revealed that the Umf directly varied with particle size and inversely with temperature,whileεmf increases slightly with temperature based on the measurements of height at incipient fluidization.However,for all particle sizes used in this test,temperatures above 700℃ has a marginal effect on Umf.The results were compared with many empirical equations,and it was found that the experimental result is still in an acceptable range of empirical equations used.In which,our findings are not well predicted by the widely accepted correlations reported in the literature.Therefore,a new predicted equation has been developed that also accounts for the affecting of mean particle size in addition to other parameters.A good mean relative deviation of 5.473% between the experimental data and the predicted values was estimated from the correlation of the effective dimensionless group.Furthermore,the experimental work revealed that the minimum fluidizing velocity was not affected by the height of the bed even at high temperature.

The COVID-19 pandemic with its new variants has severely affected the whole world socially and economically.This study presents a novel data a.alysis approach to predict the spread of COVID-19.SIR and logistic models are commonly used to determine the duration at the end of the pandemic.Results show that these well-known models may provide unrealistic predictions for countries that have pandemics spread with multiple peaks and waves.A new prediction approach based on the sigmoidal transition(ST)model provided better estimates than the traditional models.In this study,a multiple-term sigmoidal transition(MTST)model was developed and validated for several countries with multiple peaks and waves.This approach proved to fit the actual data better and allowed the spread of the pandemic to be accurately tracked.The UK,Italy,Saudi Arabia,and Tunisia,which experienced several peaks of COVID-19,were used as case studies.The MTST model was validated for these countries for the data of more than 500 days.The results show that the correlating model provided good fits with regression coefficients(R2)>0.999.The estimated model parameters were obtained with narrow 95%confidence interval bounds.It has been found that the optimum number of terms to be used in the MTST model corresponds to the highest R^(2),the least RMSE,and the narrowest 95%confidence interval having positive bounds.

Seeds from soybean collected from different commercial markets were surveyed for seed-borne fungi.Ninetyeight fungal colonies were isolated all over three monthly isolations constituting twenty-two fungal species.The isolated fungi were belonging to the genera.alternaria,Aspergillus,Cephalosporium,Chaetomium,Cladosporium,Colletotrichum,Curvularia,Fusarium,Macrophomina,Mucor,Penicillium,Rhizoctonia,Rhizopus,Sclerotium,Stemphylium,and Verticillium.Assay of the antifungal activity of four ethanolic extracts of clove,cinnamon,garlic,and mint was carried out against the most common fungal species(Aspergillus flavus,A.niger,Fusarium solani,F.oxysporium,and F.moniliforme),which significantly reduced the growth of tested fungi.Clove extract recorded the highest antimicrobial potentiality against the seed-borne fungal species,followed by cinnamon,garlic,and mint.Clove and cinnamon achieved minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)values less than that of the reference antifungal drug fluconazole.Simultaneously,garlic and mint recorded MIC values equal to or higher than that of control.A combination of clove and cinnamon,clove and garlic,cinnamon and garlic,cinnamon,and mint extracts increased the mean relative activity percentage.They decreased MIC values below their values when used individually;this indicated synergistic interaction between the two extracts.A combination of clove with mint and garlic with mint recorded a decrease in the percentage of mean relative activity and an increase in MIC values than their values when used individually,indicating antagonistic interaction between them.

Cereal-legume intercropping plays a vital role in the subsistence food production system that prevails in the arid regions.It not only provides profitable crop productivity for agricultural communities but also plays an important role in improving soil fertility.Therefore,the present research was conducted to assess the effect of the organic and mineral fertilizers on the forage yield and nutritional value in barley-pea intercropping system.The results revealed that the quality of forage grass is significantly influenced by both organic and inorganic fertilizer.Thus,organic fertilizer application has significantly influenced the dry matter(DM),crude ash(CA),crude protein(CP),neutral detergent fiber(NDF),and acid detergent fiber(ADF).Among the treatments,organic fertilizer added at rate of 35 m^(−3) ha^(−1) produced the maximum fresh and dry matter in barley and peas.In addition,the same level of organic fertilizer also improved silage composition by significantly increasing the protein and fiber content and showed highest the values.Based on overall results,it is concluded that organic fertilizer treatment(35 m^(−3) ha^(−1))has the potential as an effective strategy to improve the productivity and nutritional quality of the barley-pea intercropping system in arid areas.The results revealed that organic fertilizer can be utilized in sustainable agricultural as a source of nutrients for numerous various crops under arid conditions.

During the past decade,organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cell(PSC)has attracted great attention in the photovoltaic field 1,2.As the third-generation solar cell,PSC in laboratory has already achieved certified power conversion efficiency(PCE)exceeding 25%.The superb photovoltaic performance of PSC is attributed to the unique optoelectronic properties of organic-inorganic halide perovskite light absorption layer,including low exciton binding energy,high absorption coefficients,and outstanding carrier mobility 3,4.Hence,the quality of perovskite film plays a decisive role in the photovoltaic performance of PSC.Defects are inevitably formed on the surface and inside of polycrystalline perovskite film during the conventional preparation methods.It’s widely acknowledged that defects are the recombination centers of photogenerated electrons and holes,resulting in the loss of useful photogenerated charges 5,6.Therefore,decreasing the charge loss is advantageous to improving the PCE of PSC.

The wide engineered application of compacted expansive soils necessitates understanding their behavior under field conditions.The results of this study demonstrate how seasonal climatic variation and stress and boundary conditions individually or collectively influence the hydraulic and volume change behavior of compacted highly expansive soils.The cyclic wetting and drying(CWD)process was applied for two boundary conditions,i.***.constant stress(CS)and constant volume(CV),and for a wide range of axial stress states.The adopted CWD process affected the hydraulic and volume change behaviors of expansive soils,with the first cycle of wetting and drying being the most effective.The CWD process under CS conditions resulted in shrinkage accumulation and reduction in saturated hydraulic conductivity(k sat).On the other hand,CWD under CV conditions caused a reduction of swell pressure while has almost no impact on k sat.An elastic response to CWD was achieved after the third cycle for saturated hydraulic conductivity(k sat),the third to fourth cycle for the volume change potential under the CV conditions,and the fourth to fifth cycle for the volume change potential under the CS conditions.Finally,both swell pressure(s s)and saturated hydraulic conductivity(k sat)are not fundamental parameters of the expansive soil but rather depend on stress,boundary and wetting conditions.
